garland mainly in car accidents. three others are confirmed dead in collin county. the twisters caused widespread destruction. one caught on camera. homes reduced to rubble. two churches were obliterated. one woman home with the kids said she heard a noise she never heard before. >> the kids are screaming at me, mom are you okay. i said that's all right. all the glass was like you could just hear it crack crack all over the place. >> now, severe weather lab sweeping across the south since -- has been sweeping across the south since wednesday. two dozens people have been killed. it two blocks. the driver got out of her car and ran to the home a few blocks away, the family called 911 and was taken to cooper university hospital with injuries. police caught up with her there. charges are pending. all five people living inside the home were not injured. new overnight, philadelphia police are working two shooting scenes a half block apart in overbrook. a 15-year-old boy was shot on the 5700 block of leads street. the 911 calls came in around 11:50. he was rushed to penn presbyterian in critical condition. a 24-year-old man was shot in the arm on the 6700 block of lebanon avenue. he is stable at penn presbyterian. police have not made an arrest or said the shootings are connected. >> time is running out for customers to get money back from verizon or sprinter to claim refunds for unauthorized third party messages.

national weather service continues the dense fog advisory until 10:00 a.m. for the entire viewing area. lehigh valley, poconos, visibility reduced to less than a quarter mile. we're seeing 1 1/2 for philadelphia and reading. half mile in allentown and trenton. .8 for the poconos and millville is down to a mile and a half as well. 52 in millville. philadelphia, 51. dover, 52. sea isle city, 52 degrees as well. all the heavier rains are out to the west. we're seeing a little bit of mixed precipitation and snow, but you have to go up here to the north. you have to cross the border and get into canada and pick up any wintry precipitation. just to give an idea how far the warm air is traveling. we have a huge snowstorm for texas and oklahoma and kansas

the blizzard conditions setting up they are expecting snow five to ten feet. this will charge north and push into the great lake states. the snow will fly across the western great lakes, duluth, green bay, they will get walloped with 12 to 18 inches of snow. we could have cold air sneaking in on the eastern side of the appalachian mountains. dams up against the mountains and gets trapped. that's why there's the possibility of sleet tuesday morning with this ee -- event. temperatures this afternoon we'll see clearing conditions, limited sunshine expected, showers, and quick-hitting thunderstorm late in the day. 7:30. that's the cold front, once that pushes through, the temperatures drop off. by 7:00 we're down into the 30s across the area. by arched clouds thicken and

raining. thursday, we clear, 355. it will feel like december, at that point, but we're moving into january. those temperatures are above average again for january standards. >> we're following breaking news, firefighters in burlington county as you can see they are battling a house fire in mount laurel. criewz were called to the -- crews were called to the 100 block of can't -- canterbury road. the house is vacant. it had recent problems with squatters in the home. currently, though, there is an active gas leak there, they are waiting for public service electric and gas to come and turn over the electric and gas in the area. they had to call the neighboring fire department to assist with the flames. they are putting out the fire. you can see the smoke coming up off the house at this hour. we'll continue to follow the

>> investigators think an arsonist set a mosque in houston on fire and it happened on christmas. firefighters say it seemed suspicious because it appears the fire started from more than one spot. the fire heavily damaged the mosque an neighboring pharmacy. a site seeing bus in san francisco was hit by an suv. the driver of the suv made a sudden turn crash into the front of the double decker bus. seven people on the bus were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. another person treated at the scene. the driver of the suv was cited for making an improper lane

"healthcheck," the birth for twins hit an all time high. the birth rate for triplets and quadruplets is down. in 1980 only one in every 53 babies was a twin. according to experts more women are waiting to have babies and mother in their 30s are likely to have twins, fertility drugs and procedures like in vitro raise the chances of multiple births. fire destroyed a home of a woman who was months away from buying the home. the city along with several local organizations came together to purchase another home for the family. they charged her one dollar for the house key. >> to see everybody coming

difficult. the roads are wet, it's misting out here. it's a miserable start to your sunday. good news as you see the precipitation shield on satellite and radar. that is lifting to the north. we have a warm front in the process of pushing through. this morning fog will give way to afternoon sunshine that will get us into the upper 60s today which will be another record high. this will be 4 or 5 out of the past 7 days where we've seen high temperatures in record territory. to give you some prospective, the normal high is 42 degrees. the record on this date is 64. we're forecasting 69 that's five degrees above average and nearly 30 degrees above normal for this time of the year. the all time record high is 73 set on december 5, 1998 which was an el nino year similar to what we're seeing right now. you can see we're getting into a rare territory here. it is not often that we see

easton road and county line road in horsham. the driver of the car broadsided the tractor-trailer. the car flipped around and hit the tractor-trailer a second time. two people inside the car were trapped. one was pronounced at the scene. the other was taken to abington memorial hospital with serious injuries. the victims were not identified. police are trying to determine who was at fault. new overnight, a wilmington fire truck was involved in a crash on the way back from a call. the truck hit the car at 11:30 last night. there were no injuries. the death toll rose to 8 in texas. >> twisters touched down in dallas, another round of brutal severe weather around the christmas rush. now there's another weather threat brewing. which you can severson has more
