his house in cheltenham township in 2004. rick is off and i'm sara bloomquist and the big story on "action news" is the pending arrest of bill cosby after prosecutors announced they have enough evidence against the television star to charge him with a crime. john rawlins is live now in norristown where the district attorney just made the announcement. >> reporter: well the basic accusations around this case are not new they have been around for sometime. the woman worked for the university's basketball program and was befriended by mr. cosby an alum of temple. he said that mr. cosby developed a romantic interest in the woman that was not reciprocated. >> mr. cosby is charge ready

aggravated indecent assault, a felony of the first degree, mr. cosby's attorney is notified of the charges. >> the assault dates to early 2004 and an earlier investigation did not result in criminal charges, but first deputy steele says today that new records emerged from a civil case that shed new light on what occurred. that andrea constant was invited to cosby's home to talk about her future career plans and she viewed cosby as a trusted mentor, she told him she was drained and emotionally occupied and that cosby took advantage of the woman. >> mr. cosby urged her to take pills that he provided to her and to drink wine, the effect of which rendered her unable to move or respond to his advances

about the firing of head coach, chip kelly, ducis rogers is live at the nova care complex where a news conference is expected to begin in the next 30 minutes. >> reporter: sara yes the news conference was scheduled to begin at noon and slid it back to 12:30, only one microphone, owner, jeffrey lury, and the players will be available later this afternoon. jeffrey lury and chip kelly med books met yesterday afternoon with two years left on hi contract. it will be interesting to hear what transpired in the meeting, did he try to strip him of personnel decisions or did kelly balk at the notion, but the firing with one game to go stunned the players. >> i was surprised. because i really thought they were going to give him another offseason to prove himself after all the stuff that happened this past year, as far as stuff that

advisory for the northwest suburbs and still at this point, 2 mile visibility in mt. pocono and 2.5 in reading and 7 miles in philadelphia international airport, and we expect fog once again in the overnight hours. satellite 6 along with action radar showing lots of clouds it's yet another dreary day but our last dreary day before things turn around for us, you can see rain building in around us and in virginia, looking at stormtracker 6 live double scan you see a good soaking most of that misses us but a weak wave rides up into our area and we get a few showers in the evening hours and we are dry until that point. lets look at the temperatures, it's mild once again and 50 in philadelphia, and 41 is our normal high thark is the current temperature in allentown and just dipped to 38 in mt. pocono and 32 in philadelphia. and a big change in the weather pattern, i'll have more on that

in a few minutes. entire neighborhoods and businesses are under water after days of rainfall in missouri. authorities are watching one particular waterway north of st. louis, it's expected to crest today 17 feet above flood stage and missouri's governor has called in the national guard. philadelphia police are looking for four men that gunned down a man overnight. jeremy rojas was shot and killed in the hunting park section, surveillance video captured the shooting and rojas was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. in north philadelphia, a stray bullet shattered a front door and storm window overnight it happened at 1:00 this morning on 10th street, they discovered the damage after neighbors reported hearing gunshots, no one inside of the home was hurt. still to come, the bizarre incident that ended with a tour bus passenger flying through the

a crash on i-95 in miami left one person dead and two people injured. it was 2:00 a.m. when a woman went the wrong way on the highway, she sideswiped one vehicle and hit the other vehicle head-on. i-95 was shut down for hours. the pilot was the only person killed when a plane touched down in anchorage, alaska yesterday. today we learned that the pilot was not authorized to fly that type of aircraft. the fbi has joined the investigation. officials say the so-called affluenza teen and his mother won a temporary stay against extradition to the u.s. they were expected to be returned to texas today to face

charges that they fled before his probation hearing this month. couch was on probation for killing four people in a drunk driving accidents in 2013, his attorney successfully argued that his parents coddled him to the point that he was irresponsible. they tracked them down when his mother used her cell phone to order a pizza in puerto vallarta. and police say a man was standing in an aisle when the bus stopped at a traffic light in weehawken, new jersey, and the force propelled him through the glass, and he was not seriously hurt, he was part of a tour group from baltimore going to new york city. the new york city police department added more than 1100 new brothers and women in blue, among them are siblings, steven john and alec.

a popular digital music service is facing a new lawsuit, a musician named david lury issued a lawsuit against spotify, saying it makes songs availableable to users without paying for mechanical rights. he has applied for a class action status and that the company could be liable for up to $150 million in damage. researchers say they know how to get your loved ones to stick to the new years resolutions, instead of nagging someone simply ask them a request like will you exercise this year, it's called the question behavior effect. and it reminds people that the behavior is good for them and

also motivates them to follow through in order to avoid disappointing themselves or others. we all know that secondhand smoke is bad for us, and a new study shows that it's worse for your pets and they spend more time indoors and are on carpets where particles are attached. experts say pets living in a smokey environment are more suseptable to cell damage, cancer and weight gain. two plastic squeaky toys were removed from his stomach, this is jasper. his owner says that jasper had a hard time keeping his food down, vets show the two balls were taking up space in his stomach and doctors removed the balls and is he make a recovery.
