warm up tomorrow. cecily tynan is at the big board with the details. this is tough to take but there say light at the end of the tunnel. >> we have another shot of cold air next week but this morning a tough morning to get out of bed, philadelphia the temperature dropped down to 12 degrees, that is 14 degrees below normal, allentown 8, trenton 9 and wilmington 12, it's big problem was that we had gusty winds and the lowest windchill in the wee hours of the morning down to 25 degrees below zero in the poconos and philadelphia dropped down to 4 degrees below, and reading 5 below and trenton 6 degrees below zero. and the winds eased and it's not feeling that bad now, satellite 6 along with action radar showing high pressure building in from western pennsylvania and as it moves over us, the winds calm down and what happens tomorrow is this high pressure moves off the eastern seaboard

facebook.com/abcactionnews. police are looking for a man that they say raped a woman and took things as well. chad pradelli is live with the latest. >> reporter: monica, really a troubling crime, here is what philadelphia police are telling me happened. it was 10:00 last night on the 2100 block of granite in the bridesburg section of philadelphia, the suspect knocked on a door there and a woman answered and that suspect forced his way inside armed with a handgun, three women in total and a boy were put in a room and the suspect ransacked the house and stole a tv and purses and electronic devices, but before fleeing he took one of the women to another section of the house and raped her and the suspect then fled and remains at large tonight. we are on the 2100 block of granite and neighbors are deeply disturbed. >> it's like unthinkable, who would do such a horrible thing. you just want to be free to open

and do some skiing, able to make the snow because it was so cold, windchills this morning really tell a story, philadelphia the windchill for the first time this season, 4 degrees below zero, and doylestown felt colder 5 degrees below zero and temperatures struggling to make it to the freezing mark, philadelphia 31 and allentown and trenton 28 and millville 26 and cape may 28 degrees, this time yesterday we had sustained winds at 20 miles per hour and now they have dropped off to 6 miles per hour and even with that there is a bit a windchill factor, and 25 in philadelphia and 19 in dove and millville 21 degrees, the eastern half of the country pretty much clear and the reason why, this broad area of high pressure, as it eases right over us tonight.

6-year-old child in the backseat. and new details are emerging about the so-called affluenza teenager's actions in mexico. and a quick trip to the corner store could have ended in tragedy when a thief stole a running car with a little boy asleep in the back. it happened on oxford avenue in northeast philadelphia, within 30 minutes, the of-year-old was in the arms of police officers but the suspect remains at large tonight. sara bloomquist is here with newly released video of the incident. >> reporter: that video shows what happened here outside of the 7-eleven, unfortunately it's not a good picture of the suspect. who drove out with this honda and a 6-year-old boy in the

backseat. >> the father sparked his honda outside of 7-eleven and ran in to buy milk and left the engine running while his 6-year-old slept in the backseat. a man jumped out and got in the honda and both vehicles pull away, the step father bag in hand went running after the child. >> they took the car and rode towards the boulevard. >> police put out a trips of the honda, spoiler, silver, tinted windows, while investigators row viewed the video, the child suffered from asthma and did not have his inhaler, within an hour they found the honda at leaper street a mile away, the engine running, the heat on and the boy still sound asleep. >> he was uninjured and told us he was asleep the entire time.

held on $1 million bail tonight and the mother is also held on charges for hindering the investigation. from our new jersey newsroom, a 46-year-old south jersey woman admitted to giving her husband's mother a deadly drink containing antifreeze. she plead guilty to aggravated manslaughter, she admitted giving her the drink when she visited her in 2012, the elderly woman fell into a coma and later died. she faces 125 years in prison when she is sentenced next month. no word on a motive. investigators say this blaze on the 1,000 block of kennett square started in the chimney but flames quickly spread throughout the home and then the roof, firefighters managed to get it under control after

midnight then were called out this morning to extinguish hot spots. the philadelphia police are looking for two people that stole cash from a customer inside of a tioga-nicetown gas station on christmas eve, this is the 2200 block of west allegheny avenue, the suspect walks in and walks past the person counting cash and one of them grabbed the crash and both ran off, the victim was not hurt. >> detectives also try to identify the juveniles that caused thousands of dollars worth of damage in logan, police say that three boys went into a property under renovation in the 4400 block of north broad street, and allegedly broke holes in the sheetrock and spray painted on the walls and equipment and broke tables, they are between 14 and 17 years old. the mother of the so-called affluent teenager, wants to go

warmer weather, lets get the latest information from accuweather and meteorologist, cecily tynan. >> this morning is when the core of this arctic air was over us and we had gusty winds and the windchill dropped down to 4 degrees below zero in philadelphia and 5 below in trenton and 4 below in millville. and the windchill in the poconos 19 degrees below and the windchill advisory was posted and the windchill dropped down below 25 degrees below zero. the temperatures are still pretty cold and the windchill is 25 in philadelphia, everything is relative compared to this morning it's not that bad and what will happen overnight is the winds diminish, and that means another cold night that won't be as harsh as last night. it shows this arctic high pressure over western pennsylvania and what this will do is keep pushing
