>> a would be thief gunned down, his son on thanksgiving morning and police say they have captured the kill their took that young man's life. saturday night i'm walter perez. the the big story is an arrest in the thanksgiving day murder. news comes one day after family and friend held a vigil for victim 21 year-old ryan kelly. kelly was fund robbed and shot to death in port richmond in november. "action news" reporter jeff chirico just spoke with kelly's family and joins us live at police headquarters with the story, jeff. >> reporter: police say they have arrested 18 year-old david ramos, junior for that murder. he was picked up in the city's frankford section around 11:00 . the the the kelly family tells me that this is news that they have been waiting, and praying for. >> getting him off the street so he don't do this to another family. >> reporter: news of the capture of ryan kelly's killer brought his family and friend together to celebrate. with heavy hearts and ryan's name on their chest they remember the the 21 year-old

and other related charges. i just spoke with police spokesperson and she said it is unclear when he will be a a rain. we are live at police headquarters, jeff chirico for channel six "action news". walter. >> thank you, jeff. a late afternoon shooting in north philadelphia ended with a man critically injured. investigators say someone shot him in the head repeatedly. police were called to the edgeley street near north 17th street right around 4:30. the the victim was brought to temple university hospital. no word on who shot him or why. and police in philadelphia also have a homicide investigation underway right now. a 27 year-old man was found shot to death just after 6:00 o'clock at the intersection of east rockland street at rising sun avenue. he was reportedly shot five times and pronounced dead at the scene. well, ten families have been forced from their homes during a fire at an apartment building in delaware county. fire broke out at 8:30 this morning at the fox croft terrace apartments right there in yeadon. police arrived or crew is a arrived to find fires emanating from the third floor

apartment. they got the there in time to rescue a woman who lived inside. >> she was pitch black covered in smoke and still in the fetal position as if she was still asleep. >> the victim was taken to fitzgerald mercy and then transferred to crozer-chester medical center. the investigators say the fire start in the kitchen of the rick tim's apartments. we are following a developing story right now, coming in from new castle county, delaware. six people have been rushed to the hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning. five of the patients are children. fire crew where is called out to the 100 block of polumbo drive-in bear, delaware because people inside an apartment there were getting sick. they say the unit did the not have any electricity, and that a portable generator was running inside. victims have been all treated a at christiana hospital and they are all expected to survive. moving on to the accu weather forecast, it was a pretty nice day for mid-january with a little sun and relatively comfortable temperatures. but freezing temperatures are making a come back. meteorologist karen rodgers in for melissa.

two hours to resolve a barricade situation this morning in west philadelphia. officers have crime scene tape up along chestnut street near forty-ninth when they tried to make contact with a man inside. someone called 911, saying they heard gunshots in the area. the man refused to open up the door for officer and that led to the barricade, and the swat team responses. he was eventually taken into custody. investigators say no weapon has been recovered just yet. well, reward for information about a case of animal cruelty in bucks county has now been doubled. bucks county spca says they are now offering $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person, who shot a cat with a nail gun. the crime happened in january 3rd, in doylestown. "action news" first told you about the the story last week. since then there has been an outpouring of support for people all across the the country. officials say nails were found in the cat's head, cheek and hip. in fact, the injuries were so bad the a animal had to be euthanized. anyone with any information is

asleep. >> reporter: that woman was taken to the fitzgerald mercy hospital and transferred to crozer-chester medical center. officials say the fire started in the kitchen area have of her apartment and it took about 75 fire fighters, 40 minutes to get the fire under control. officials say four units were damaged by the fire but utilities were cut to the entire building, so people will not be able to return to their homes until monday at the earliest. ten families are being helped by the american red cross, shawna ford is one of the 37 people displaced. sheet was having her five nieces and nephews over for a sleep over when the fire broke out. >> i opened up the door and the smoke smacked my back inside of my apartment. so i just shut the door, told kid to get up, grab your shoes and we came out. >> reporter: while her apartment and belongings were damaged the kid were all fine, a big relief for shawna and her sister who has two children that were inside. >> i just hugged them. i was just happy, that is all. >> reporter: reporting from yeadon, trish hartman for channel six "action news".

trouble is in the just temperatures but the wind, so it is just going to make it feel brutal for a couple days in the seven day forecast. future tracker six is showing snow showers coming your way at the 1:30 tomorrow in areas south of the city but i really don't think this will reach the ground. the it will be just a few flakes. we could see a few flying flakes around and looking at these temperatures, 36, 37, 38 they are all above freezing. it will just amount to the surface. something to watch. we have not seen a whole lot of flakes. we will count everyone. midnight monday that arctic front comes through, up to the northwest we will try to get a snow shower but basically comes through dry. i don't think we have seen much again other than a flying flake or two. big deal in the weather is just the wind chills. look at this at 8:30 in the morning on monday. mine us three is what it will feel like in mount pocono. four in allentown. nine in philadelphia. so very cold air, coming your way. here's your exclusive accu weather seven day, lots of cloud tomorrow, especially late in the day. and chilly, 40 degrees for your high. temperatures about average.
