good morning, a jackets scarves and gloves this week, looks like an arctic blast, right? . it is colder today, yesterday we topped out in the mid 50s. tomorrow we see temperatures drop into the single digits windchill-wise. that's cold stuff on the way. in the american time, it's nice and quiet, but colder with temperatures in the 30s. you factor in the winds it feels like the 20s. these are the actual air temperatures, 31 in allentown, millville, 32. 28 in the poconos, 34 in reading. you factor in the winds it feels like 29. 17 in the poconos, 30 for philadelphia and the freezing mark of 32 in millville. satellite and radar, the leading edge of the arctic boundry is getting into range here across the eastern great lakes. that will swiftly march east over the next several hours. if you look at the bottom of the

screen we have a southern storm developing which should run off the virginia capes this afternoon. both systems will be close enough to produce flurries in the area. partly cloudy and flurries across south jersey and delaware. it's not going to amount to that much. here's the cold air marching east. windchills from 20 to 30 below across the high plains that's heading this way. i'll have the details on the cold air when i see you in just a few minutes. we have new overnight information on the 12 marines missing after two helicopters crash off the coast of hawaii. two of the marines are from pennsylvania. 31-year-old captain brian t.kennedy was on board, a sergeant from the gettysburg area is missing. waves up to 30 feet high is complicating the search. debris in the area from the

"good morning america" will cover the prisoner swamp and sanctions lifted. we're learning about an american killed in the hostage stand off in burkina faso. his name is michael riddering helping at a woman's orphanage and women's crisis center. he was in the cafe waiting to meet volunteers when the attackers barged in. two of their kids were adopted from burkina faso. 38 people died in the stand off. a philadelphia family is welcoming news of an arrest in the murder of their son. 18-year-old david ramos junior will be charged with killing ryan kelly back in november.

behind bars. they know his name, he might as well turn himself in. they will get him. david ramos junior has been arrested and facing robbery and other related charges. jeff chirico channel 6 "action news." from our delaware newsroom, police are looking for a person who stabbed a young man. the man was found on reid avenue in wilmington last night. the victim is in critical condition. the detective's have not said what the motive is. 6:07. bear, delaware, 6 people were overcome by carbon monoxide, fierve -- five are children. firefighters were called out to flamingo drive in bear last night. the unit did not have electricity and portable generator was running inside. it is not clear if that was the cause. the victims are expected to be okay. the eagles have not

take a look at this surveillance video from inside an australia gas station and captors the dramatic moment when a car suddenly crashes through the windows into the middle of the store. that woman seems to disappear, but was not hit by the car. store workers dragged out two people inside the car safely. the accident triggered a gas leak, but no fire was sparked. police are trying to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash. a firefighter's helmet camera showed the dramatic moment when people living in an california apartment building

storm tracker 6 live at any time at 6abc.com/weather. new this morning, the action cam was in the franklin section of philadelphia, where a man was shot to death late last night. police say the victim between the ages of 35 and 40 was gunned down on the the 4600 block of penn street. police have not said if they have any suspects for motives. new this morning, an overnight house fire in juniata park has left a family of five homeless. the fire displaced a man and woman and two young boys and a girl. the red cross is finding temporary shelter for them. there were no reports of injuries and no word on a cause. the time 6:32. investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire that ripped through an apartment building in delaware county. right now ten families are out of their homes. after a traumatic morning at the fox croft terrace apartments in yeadon. i went outside to and went back inside to grab the baby. . firefighters were called to the building around 8:30 a.m. finding flames in the third floor apartment. they found the woman who lives there and carried her out of the burning building. there was a victim inside the front door of the apartment, finding that victim they pulled her from the buildings and brought her down to the ems crews that were waiting. she was covered in smoke. >> reporter: that woman was taken to the hospital and transferred to crozer-chester medical center. officials say the fire started in the kitchen area of the apartment. it took 75 firefighters 40 minutes to get the fire under control. four units were damaged by the fire, but utility were cut to the entire building, so
