route 9 reporting light snow from cape may to atlantic city. even route 1 in delaware seeing light snow flying, as well. as a matter of fact let's go live to cape may and show you the view. the snow is starting to fall, this is the good snow the kind we like, the testers are above freezing -- temperatures are above freezing, so it won't stick. temperatures, 37 degrees. sea isle city, 36. the numbers are well above freezing. we're not expecting slick spots. millville, 35. trenton, 35. the poconos 28 degrees at this midday hour. so the temperatures are above freezing right now. they will not stay that way overnight tonight and tomorrow. the coldest days of the season is on the way. i'll have the details coming up in the seven-day forecast. now to the latest on a double shooting at a north philadelphia homeless shelter. here's what we know, two

employees were shot, one died and police know who they are looking for. trish hartman has been following the developing story and live at the scene and trish we learned new information, right? >> reporter: that's right, nydia, we learned from police that the man who was killed was in his 40s shot in the head. the other man is 26 years old he was shot in the hip. we are told he is expected to be okay. the shooter had been kicked out of the shelter a few days ago. at station house transitional home, residents and employees are upset. he was my close friend, he loved his jobs. shelter residence are reeling after at the station house transitional home on north broad street. a former resident was evicted when he was intoxicated came back to retrieve his belongings.

an argument began and the man pulled out a gun shooting two employees before running away. we are very, very concerned this is not something that happens in the city shelters for people experiencing homelessness. it's an unusual situation. >> reporter: one man was killed and another rushed to temple university hospital for surgery. police say he is expected to be okay. the shelter is run by a nonprofit called set of incorporated directed by former mayor wilson good. he said everyone is patted down before entering the shelter and the shooter entered with food workers. we'll investigate to insure that any future employees and residents are safe in the environment. >> reporter: good said co-worker as family members and residents are in shock. i don't think you could have found more dedicated employees, more concerned

the official announcement is made stay can "action news" and 6abc.com for all the eagles updates. from our delaware newsroom five children and one adult are recovering after being poisoned by carbon monoxide. fire crews were called to flamingo drive in bear. five children were sickened and crews rushed all six to the hospital. the apartment had no electricity and a portable generator was being used. a man was stabbed in wilmington. the action cam on the unit block of reid avenue. that victim is believed to be in his late teens or early 20s. he was rushed to the hospital. no arrests have been made. call new castle county police if you have information. philadelphia police have arrested one man in connection with the thanksgiving day murder of 21-year-old ryan kelly, but they continue to look for a second suspect.

the kelly family gathered at their port richmond home in light of the arrest. they talked about the young man who had an infectious smile and the desire to help others and hurt no one. his father said they are confident they will track down the other suspect. they know his name, he might as well turn himself in, because they are going to get him. police arrested david ramos junior facing murder and other charges. police say using surveillance video from the td bank tracked down the suspects. montgomery county's former top prosecutor could be a key witness in an upcoming hearing to determine if the case against bill cosby should be thrown out. he promised cosby would never be charged over a sexual assault complaint. the judge must consider whether it's a immunity.

his lawyers argued that the prosecutors unfairly used the deposition against him. allentown council are set to vote on a no confidence vote. council has concluded that the mayor is no longer an effective leader and no longer carry out the duties of his office. that vote is scheduled for wednesday. this comes in the wake of the fbi probe of government contracting in allentown. three city leaders have pleaded guilty to federal crimes. he has not been charged and denies any wrong doing. the military is expanding it's search for 12 missing marines and we learned one of the them is from philadelphia. captain brian kennedy was on board a helicopter that went down off the hawaiian coast.

this will make your jaw drop, a woman in australia lucky to be alive after a close call. she was walking into a convene store when this happened. a car comes flying through the front glass, hard to believe she was not hit. crews took two people inside the car to the hospital. police are investigating if alcohol was a factor in the crash. two people are dead and four people are hurt after a possible tornado ripped through a number of homes in central florida. you can see the damage there. the storm that we want through

skull cap and blue jeans and fleeing behind the railroad trackings in the rear of the shoulder. if you have any information call police. trish hartman channel 6 "action news." that's a story we'll continue to follow. trish, thanks for the update. we're learning about another fatal shooting that happened in the city. this happened on the 4600 block of penn street in frankford around 10:00 p.m. last night. police say the shooter kicked open the victim's front door and shot him twice. the suspect tried to take off and got into a struggle with the witness. the shooter dropped his gun and cell phone before running away. the victim was rushed to temple university hospital where he died. more money is on the table for information leading to the arrest of a cat killer. bucks county spca is offering a reward of $2,000. earlier this months someone shot a cat with a nail gun in doylestown. the cat was found with nails in its head, cheek and hip.

the injuries were so severe, the cat had to be put down. the case led to an outpouring of support from around the country. president obama was speaking out about the nuclear deal with iran. he spoke this morning one day after the united nations certificate that iran -- certified that iran cish -- c up up -- curb it's nuke ambitions. if they try to cheat we'll catch them. president said the nuclear deal allowed the u.s. to work with the iian government after -- iranian government after u.s. sailors strayed into iranian waters.

to 10 below zero and windchills are worse than that. some areas are seeing windchills as low as 25 below. later this afternoon, the bark is worse than the by bite. it shows snow, temperatures are above freezing. we won't see the snow sick across the area. there's the arctic front right there, there's snow showers around the midnight hour or 1:00 a.m. once that pulls through it will clear out nicely. the cold air will pour in from canada. this is lake-effect snow streamer. that's the dance this is traveling -- that's the distance this is traveling. the only time you get lake-effect snow streamers spreading that far east is when you have strong gusty winds. look at the windchills. 7 in the poconos.

(soft music) ♪ (colonial penn jingle) it is a family affair on "fyi philly," two local brothers have taken their love of alcohol from a venture in their parents' basement to their own distillery in philadelphia. alicia vitarelli has more. >> reporter: they have only been officially operating for two months. the story started three years ago when we started to make alcohol in my parents

basement. always wheeling and dealing anything we could figure out to make money as little kids. >> reporter: after college matt moved across the country and opened restaurants. he made a pitch. did you want to make vodka? he was 100%. >> reporter: they began bootlegging in their parents basement. it was a workout room for my parents. they don't work out. they found the distillery and basically accused us of making drugs in the basement and told us to get out of there in 24 hours. >> reporter: that's when they got serious and searching for an angel investor. they got their business plan together. we drank a whole bottle of vodka. clem was in. we saw that the craft beer movement was taking off and

vodka was being ignored. >> reporter: they set up shop in an old warehouse in kensington and replaced the kegs with a custom-made german still. every few weeks they hold a bottling party. they started in ten state stores in philadelphia and jumped this month to 20. they are in more than 2 dozen bars and restaurants. they plan to opening a tasting room in march and living the american dream. i don't think there's anything sexier out there than being a rock star or being a guy who makes alcohol. okay. well you can catch "fyi philly" coming up in just a few minutes after "action news" at noon. a wedding day photo has gone viral, but this doesn't show a bride and groom. it shows the bride and her pooch. it features her with her other
