bitter cold. some clouds could push in later on but the big story is the temperature, we are at 25 in philadelphia currently and allentown 23 and same in reading and trenton and 24 in wilmington and millville, but factor in the strong wind from the west, you have windchills that are really raw. below zero in the western suburbs, the only number i have below zero is in the poconos. single digits in wilmington trenton and 10 in millville and 8 in wildwood. this gives you the idea to bundle up with the extra gear this afternoon and this evening if the winds are a factor. high of only 27 degrees, tomorrow we'll see things improve a little bit but in the meantime, another bitter day today. probably not a bad side yeah to

talk about symptoms of frostbite if you are out and about today, numbing and tingling in your hands and toes for that matter, that is a sign you were out too long and need to get inside. if you start to develop blisters or pain and swelling, you definitely want to get inside and warm water is better for your hands and feet than hot water, that can actually hurt the skin. you want to be careful about that if you are out and about. the one thing i'll point out is the actual storm and energy that will transfer into our east coast storm at the end of the week is off the coast of california, this is starting to push the precipitation in here, it's a long trek it has to make before a weaker low and then a strengthening low off our coast, it's this portion of the travel frit ni into saturday, where we have the biggest concern.

this is where it's all going to happen at 2:00 p.m. today, a new era of philadelphia football once again, doug peterson will be introduced as the new coach by owner, jeffrey lurie. after all the speculation he finally landed in philadelphia and spent the day inside of the facility signing the contract and formalizing his staff before leaving with his wife to have dinner at jeffrey lurie's house at 7:15. peterson will use this press conference to tame the skeptical and there will be many. and whether or not he expects to keep sam bradford and tough questions for lurie as well. and if they settled for peterson and he will assert they wanted him as their guy all along.

gust as high as 35 miles per hour and the windchills staying in the low double digits as we go through the afternoon and climbing up into the teens as the winds drop off a bit around dinner time tonight, evening commute, 26 by 4:00 and 25 by 5:00, staying 25 by 6:00 as well and sinking to 26 degrees by 7:00 and we'll be on the windy and breezy side, the winds are not quite as strong, noticeable at 10 to 20 miles per hour. and check out the brisk and cold lows, 15 in the suburbs and windchills in the single digits, all eyes turn to the end of the week it's not over the map yet, a bit of instability, that will change fer its energy to the low. we expect it to deepen through the southern states and then all eyes are on what happens with this cold air in place, it's not a deep seeded cold air mass in
