scene, streets water logged from flooding. good sunday morning to you, we have a team of reporters in some of the hardest hit areas and the latest on road conditions this morning. but first the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, meteorologists chris sowers and david murphy are here. chris you're here tells -- tell us you have good news. >> reporter: i have good news. we have sunshine this morning and the testers will moderate. some of it will melt. this will go down as a historic storm. those are the totals in new jersey, hopewell, 23, mount holy, 20 inches. haddonfield, 18. toms river, 17. williams town 14 1/2. wood side 16 1/2. dover a little bit more than 12. hockessin 12.2. pennsylvania this is where the bigger total were. allentown 3 1.9 inches.

malvern, 28.2. salisbury township, 27.4. king of prussia, 26.1. the number at the philadelphia vrnl -- international airport coming in at 22.4 inches. double scan live showing better news here. the storm is well out here, way out to sea. all the bands are out to sea, as well. because of the counter clockwise rotation of the storm you can the winds are out of the north northwest, we're seeing flooding down the jersey shore but not as bad as yesterday. take a look at this image, this is from a tbirt -- twitter follower, this is patrick who is down at caesar. this is what it looked like. you can see the sun up here, the water is much more relaxed.

these are 20-foot waves breaking lots of flooding and the snow coming down. a much quieter scene this morning. everything is starting to get back to normal. it's blustery and cold i'm sure you have a lot of work to do to get the snow off the sidewalks and drives ways. let's bring in meteorologist david murphy. >> reporter: all right, chris we are on the terrace. the wind is a little bit of a factor, but it's uncomfortable. we're at 23 in philadelphia. 20 in allentown. 19 in reading, 25 in millville. when you factor in the breeze which is kicking up into the teens a bit every now and then, it feels like 12 in the city and still a single digit windchill in wilmington and 2 in lancaster. if you're heading out to do shoveling or playing in the snow, bundle up. remember the snow not only came down in buckets, but it drifted. so we have a lot of heavy stuff

to get out of here. go slow and takes breaks and avoid back strain especially on the heart. this can be tough on people with heart conditions or people who don't know they have heart conditions and you find out the hard way. if you're taking the dogs out, remember to protect their paws when you get back in from the walk, wash out salt from the walks because dogs can lick that and get sick from it. the chris mentioned things are better at the shore we have a coastal flood warning until noon. high tide past, and things are better at the shore. if you're heading out it's cold, dress appropriately. now to the latest on flooding at the jersey shore. high tide was at 7:30. nora muchanic is live in ocean city, we've been watching and looks like we're not

expecting significant flooding like yesterday. >> reporter: it's not supposed to be as bad as it was. we are getting flooding at 13th and simpson. the floodwaters are beginning to come up from the bay just a bit. there's a current starting to swamp the street right here. high tide was an hour and a half ago. it's coming from the bay it is starting to build up a bit. today is a different day, the sun is out, but it's still cold. the flooding should be the last we get from the storm. we want to show you pics we got while driving around this morning with sun instead of snow and rain. you get a wide view of what it's like moving through the streets in town through the water. looks like we're on a lake in a boat. it's only a couple of inches deep in spots. others much deeper. the good news hopefully the flooding won't be as deep as

yesterday. high tide not as bad as predicted. having said that there's still water in the streets today. shore towns all over there will be street flooding. ocean city, everything is back to normal here, you can get up and down the streets. you will have street flooding in particular areas that will be here and a lot of other towns that are waiting for this bay water to come in and get out so everybody can begin to mop up. live in ocean city, nora muchanic channel 6 "action news." a difficult situation there, nora, thank you. sky6 live hd looking live at philadelphia international airport where flights are expected to resume after all flights were canceled yesterday. the action cam was at the airport earlier this morning. you can see many of the flights on the board were canceled. one family from gloucester county, new jersey needed to get to orlando florida in time to catch a cruise to the bahamas.

it is my daughter's 24th birthday. so it put a damper on our plans. chester county church scrambling to hold services after a roof collapse yesterday. five foot snow drift caused the roof to cave in. the pastor said when he arrived sounded like a waterfall was in the building. i expected some sort of broken pipe, when you look up and see sky and things blowing and the snow coming through. it was still coming in, i guess the water was still running when i came in. the sounds of loud water falling sounded like a waterfall. it was crazy. wild scene there. that church each week the church live streams their sunday services, today it will come from the pastor's living room.

allentown got a record-breaking 31.7 inches. annie mccormick caught up with people not too far from there. she is live in salisbury township with the latest. good morning, annie, how are you out there? >> reporter: good morning, 32 inches we got out here, we are the big winners i guess with snow totals in the region. i meant to give you a look at the neighborhood. this is linburgh avenue and america's avenue. you can see that lindbergh avenue is plowed and so is america. come over and see the mail box. this is a common sight out here how high the snow is the people who have not plowed their driveways have not been able to get out and do that, you can see how high it is. this is video of where we were earlier today. one of the parking lots of one of the shopping centers in the south white hall township area they are working hard using a special type of plow a heavy

duty one to push the 32 inches through the parking lot. that gentleman who is running that tells me he has been working him and his 12-man crew have been working since friday night. they have not slept yet. here's another look at a different neighborhood around allentown. some people say it's not worth to plow the driveways, because some of the small roads have not been plowed so there's no sense. the little dog had to be carried out. >> reporter: does she like it? she is disoriented she doesn't like it. how many times have you taken her out? this is first since friday night. >> reporter: and back out here live, this is the beautiful part of the snow, take a look over here, looks like a christmas card it's gorgeous right now while it is settling and

glistening, kids will come out here it's packable he it's the time to use for showmen and sled in. for people getting out, not so much fun. reporting live in salisbury township, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." we'll focus on the fun. thanks annie. mobile 6 on the move this morning showing you robins avenue in northeast philadelphia toward the tacony-palmyra bridge. the city streets department had 400 plows out they have done a really, really good job. let's get you caught up on the roads now with karen rogers tracking traffic. hi, karen. >> reporter: hi, penndot has a 45-mile speed restrictions in place on all the highways. what they have listed is the ban on empty trailers and double tandem tractor-trailers and motorcycles. speed restrictions are in place as you can see why. we're live i-95 ridley park this

vehicle was traveling northbound ran off the roadway now stuck in the median here. slippery even though they did a great job, you can see the road surface, but you can see the cars slip and slide. i'll switch the camera view to the boulevard shut down between knight and broad street. we saw police blocking it off a second ago. we had a car traveling flipped over a couple of times. it looks clear, but you have to be careful. that driver was transported to the hospital. the boulevard was shut down for a little while. let's switch to 202 near king of prussia you're sick of being in the house head to the mall. it's snow covered in some areas, but moving okay. big updates with mass transit. broad street and market frankford liedges continue to run. -- lines continue to run. the buses are getting back route

by route. they will start with the priority buses that feed into the market frankford line. route 101 begins at 10. , 10, 11, 15, 34, 36 resumes at noon. regional rail resumes on monday, expect delays as people try to head back to work. thank you karen. the snowstorm has grounded dart, the delaware public transportation agency has suspended all bus and transit service for the day. level two driving restrictions for new castle and kent county will be lifted. all nonessential employees are asked to stay off the road. jack markell will give arn -- an update this morning. trish hartman is live at broad at ellsworth.

>> reporter: it is very busy on brood street take a look at the operation going on behind me. one of the biggest challenges to walk and park is the giant snow banks. the excavators are picking it up and putting it on a dump truck and getting it off the street. people residents business owners have been out with shoves and snow blowers along broad street. we found a company responsible for clearing nine properties working through the storm they have a system worked out between the two of them and working all day long. try to get all the snow 3-foot with all the drifts over here. we have to chop it up and take it out with the snow blower. the sun is a big factor for us, once we get it down to the concrete, the sun helps to melt whatever is there and works with

the salt. >> reporter: you have that working for you. yes, thank god. [laughter]. >> reporter: now, we've heard some crazy stories over the past couple of days during the blizzard i'm here with johnny, you're a chef at the broad street diner. you tell me you've slept in your car for the past two nights so you wouldn't have to go back and forth so you could go to work. what was it like sleeping in the car? once you get warm you're good. all the cooks called out, so i had to make the soup and take care of the line at the same time. >> reporter: employee of the month no question. that's dedication to the job, somebody give john is a raise. we'll update the snowstorm

the broad street line is operating at the fern rock transportation center. bus service is resuming on a route by route basis starting at 10:00 a.m. action cam was at the 69th street terminal. a few commuters using the terminal as things return to normal. in delaware, driving restrictions remain in effect until 10:00 a.m. that means no one on the roads unless essential. good morning sunday morning, 16,000 people are without power, atlantic city electric said the hardest hit areas are along the shore wildwood and stone harbor. speaking of the shore, keeping an eye there. >> reporter: that's where they had the hurricane force winds and the horrible flooding. cape may, a much more relaxed scene this morning. we're seeing waves as high as 10 feet. yesterday we were getting

20-foot breakers on the beaches. it was a violent storm rapidly intensifying pushing the water onshore why we saw all the flooding combined with a full moon. double scan live all the moisture is long gone at this point well out to sea. the high tide we were worried about occurred for the oceanfront. 7:26 was the high tide from atlantic city to cape may. now the water is starting to come out a little bit. back bay, delaware bay, 9:30. after this high tide, all the tides will go back to normal. elevated this evening, but not as bad as the last 24 to 36 hours. where does it rank all time, for the city of philadelphia, this is the 4th largest snowstorm ever, 22.4 inches an inch away from cracking the top three. the blizzard of 96 everybody

remembers that. shwas the same winter this december, 23.2 inches. there were snowstorms that winter that produced a foot 1/2 snow. hopefully this is not the first of a series of those kinds of storms. 20 in allentown, 19 in reading. millville, 24. trenton, 22. windchills feel like the upper single digits low teens. feels like 12 in reading, minus 1 in the poconos. 12 in it would. 13 in millville and 11 in trenton. satellite and radar there's the back edge of the storm continuing to pull away. now we're left with nothing but sunshine. all the cloud cover you see across the great lakes that will stay to the west. as this storm continues to pull away. it's close to bring us a little bit of a breeze, if you're doing sledding bundle up appropriately. tomorrow this storm continues to pull away. there's nothing in the wings. that means we have a nice,

relaxed weather pattern over the next five to seven days. there's an outside shot 65 rain shower on tuesday, other than that it's quiet through the upcoming weekend. lunchtime, 22 in philadelphia. 19 in the poconos. all daily it will be blustery and cold feeling like 16 in reading, 19 in philadelphia. and 12 in the poconos. tomorrow morning teens and 20s for most of the delaware valley. for this afternoon, sun and clouds, winds and cold, 32 degrees is the forecasted high, winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour. that means the 32 will feel like the teens. the number crash overnight tonight partly cloudy and cold, upper single digits allentown, quakertown millville and the pine barrens in south jersey. 14 suburbs, 19 center city. winds out of the west at 5 to 10 miles per hour. before i get into the seven-day forecast, everyday from tomorrow on high temperatures above freezing.

live inside philadelphia international airport. 9:24 right now. you can see doesn't look like any passengers there checking in, but at least the airport is staffed. you know it was closed yesterday all flights canceled. i looked at phl.org looks like a number of flights are scheduled to arrive. a number of departures canceled. check ahead before you head to philadelphia international airport today. the action cam was in malvern chester county where drifts up to five feet high buried sidewalks. one man was walking a snow blower early this morning. clearing the sidewalks dotted with small businesses. time to check in with our karen rogers. what's happening on the roads. >> reporter: i was showing you

this shot at route 100 at phoenixville pike, traffic wag moving okay. they had a spinout accident that has cleared. you have to be careful. let's check the camera view on the schuylkill expressway. we have speed restrictions of 45 miles per hour on the area highways no bans on the empty trailers and tandem tractor-trailers. a little sun glare on the schuylkill expressway. we showed you images from malvern chester county. don't be deceived by what it looks like in chester county some roads are impassable. some of the secondary roads you're dealing with a lot of the snow. this is mike sharing a picture of is a is a seal hershey's miniatures.

dig out of the blizzard of 2016. we would like to show you this morning a look in cape may, new jersey. you see a beautiful picture there after this horrendous blizzard. flooding concerns there, let's get a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. chris sowers is here and david murphy, you wanted the storm, now bring back the 60s come on. >> reporter: every week i said i wanted my blizzard of we got it. collegeville, 26 inches of snow. warwick 26.3. greeneville down in delaware, 12.2 inches. some of the jackpot areas in the lehigh valley picked up more than 30 inches of snow. 3 1.9 in allentown to be exact. that's the largest snowstorm in the lehigh valley. philadelphia, 22.4. this is the 4th largest for the city of philadelphia. some of the these areas picked up an entire season's worth of

snow in one storm. incredible amounts of snow with the storm system. it is long gone, you can clearly see on double scan live it is working out to sea of the issues we had yesterday was because the storm was off the coast. the winds wrap around in a counter clockwise fashion. we are piling the water onshore, the full moon combined we couldn't get the water to recede. we had the terrible flooding from the jersey shore to the delaware beaches. that low is out here, so the winds on the backside wrapped around from the northwest. this is the winds direction today it is out of the northwest pushing the water offshore. we still have a little bit flooding down there, but not as bad as yesterday at this time. we're improving. bringing in meteorologist david murphy we have a lot of shoveling to do buddy. >> reporter: we do, we have to bundle up. it's cold despite the sunshine. take a look, 23 degrees that's

where we are sitting for a couple of hours. allentown, 20. trenton, 22 degrees, 21 in wilmington. still in the teens in reading. the winds are moving picking up in parts of the region. 12-mile an hour in philadelphia. 8 in allentown. at times it's popping into the upper teens, wilmington 16. that's giving you a windchill of 12. whether you're shoveling show or playing in the snow take breaks. if you're on the sleds avoid the hills on on the roads. it's hard to stop. take warm breaks if you feel the toes and fingers tingling. rolesy skin starts to turn pale. if you develop blisters pain and swelling seek medical advice. let's avoid those problems.

down the shore we have a flood warning until noon. as chris mentioned the high tides are in the rear view mirror. a little bit of flooding going on mostly in the streets not much as w buildings with the water receding. better times ahead, chris will have the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. let's talk about the flooding at the jersey shore. high tide as david mentioned hit two hours ago. we have flooding but not as bad as yesterday, it was wild yesterday. nora muchanic is in ocean city with the latest, nora, what are you seeing? >> reporter: well, chris and david have been talking about how high tide was delayed by a couple of hours, high tide was at 7:30. right now i'm at the intersection of 13th and simpson. you can see the water coming into the street creeping up on the fire hydrant over there. there's a currents in the street right now -- a current in the

street right now. i'm sure the wind is not helping that. if you look down simpson street, the block has dry pavement. it's a patchwork of what's flooded and what's not. it seems like the cross streets are getting it as the water moves in from the bay. we talked a little while ago to the resident about the flooding that's been happening in the neighborhood and what the storm was like. we had to get all of our cars out of here, i was shoveling snow all night long. we can't drive around here, i'm hoping it goes down soon. >> reporter: are you over it? i'm definitely over it. ready for the summer. >> reporter: back live, now, summer sun would melt some of the snow and dry up the floodwaters. there's a car hopefully it won't get any deeper. the water was much, much deeper yesterday. of course this is the last had a are a -- harrah for the storm. shores towns have to evaluate how much flood damage they have

if it is in homes and streets. we have to take a look at beach erosion, that's a problem, there's been so much focus on flooding. we have to look at how bad the beaches took are a beating from the storm. nora muchanic ocean city back to you guys. mobile 6 live along 295 in cinnaminson, plows have been in the area that's good news. a reminder if you live in the neighborhoods and you have a lot of snow packed on the sidewalks if you live next to a fire hydrant. firefighters are asking to clear out the fire hydrants so they can access them. >> reporter: now to the lehigh valley where some areas saw record snowfall. "action news" reporter, annie mccormick caught up with people there live in salisbury township. annie what's the latest out there, you're a mountain or mound or something, right? >> reporter: i just keep moving around, wherever i go i find snow. 32 inches is what they got out here.

i'm standing in a park in salisbury township to give you an idea of what it looks like with untouched snow. i'm about 5'7" this is about 32 inches. when people see the snow they will be struck by the beauty and then reelz it is a bit of -- realize it is bit of a nuisance. this is the parking lot of a market those men have been working to clear parking lots all around the area. they need working since friday night with no sleep. they had to keep working to keep ahead of the snow. last night was the most difficult time to keep ahead of the falling snow that was coming down. they talked to me about the type of equipment they have to use. take a listen. front end loaders. a bunch of plow trucks whatever it takes. >> reporter: what type of plow is this? it's a pusher box it takes

a large amount of snow at one time instead of making four passes it takes the place of four passes like a regular plow. >> reporter: and back out here live i want to give you an idea what the neighborhoods look like around the allentown area this is lindbergh avenue. what you'll see is a number of larger busier roads that are paved and plowed. the secondary roads, residents have not plowed their driveways yet because their roads have not been plowed. in salisbury township, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." nydia and gray. i will agree with annie it's beautiful to look at but not work in. if i was there it would be up to my waist since i'm 5'1" and you're 5'7".

the roads look good, but they are slippery. >> reporter: they look better, you would be overconfident. looking live the schuylkill expressway westbound by the blue route. they are digging someone out in the gore point. we saw a lot of that yesterday. not as much today, but here and there. let's switch the view to the port richmond section, aramingo, the secondary roads seeing more snow in and around. you have to watch the turn lanes. you turn on to aramingo. you have slush and snow. we're seeing a little bit of the blacktop surface. upper state road at bristol road we're seeing snow in the area obviously as well on the secondary roads particularly slushy. you can see bristol road itself, hard to see the surface. harold to imagine this come tomorrow after the refreeze. market frankford line broad street line running. buses are returning to life one

route at the time. they are starting with the priority routes that feed the market and broad street lines. trolley 101 begins at 10:00 a.m., 10, 11, 34, 36 are returning. the roads look good but they can be tricky. let's go to trish hartman live in south philadelphia. trish, how are conditions there? >> reporter: things are looking pretty good there's a lot of work to be done, but people are up and at 'em and getting the work done. take a look down broad street and ellsworth street. the excavators are taking the new snow banks and breaking them up and loading them into the dump trucks to be hauled away. many people in south philadelphia are thankful that the snow will be off the streets and out of the parking spots off

the sidewalks. it's a big job. where the excavator is right now that's where the live truck was parked a few minutes ago, but we had to move because they are moving downer the street as they make progress on broad. a lot of people have been out with shovels and snow blowers. we found furry friends, let's look at the video. we found south philly dogs as the owners ventured out into the neighborhoods. we found pups with coats and turtle necks and booties to protect their saws take a look. the salt can burn their feet and their pads so this protects her. >> reporter: she doesn't mind having those on? she minds in time house, once we get walking she doesn't care. he hates all the salt that's around but it's nice people are putting it out, it's cold and we just want to go

inside. and they did go inside. while it is very cold out here, one big thing a number of people have said the sun is out, it's a huge help melting the stuff and making it feel a little bit warmer than it's been over the past 24 hours. everyone is grateful for that on broad street. live in south philadelphia, trish hartman channel 6 "action news." thinks are getting better. thank you trish. city officials are expected to hold a news conference to update their cleanup plans. we'll bring it to you live when it happens. looking live inside the philadelphia airport as expected it's not busy at all. they are resuming service on a limited basis today. we'll talk to an airport spokesperson when "action news" sunderland morning returns. ♪

the trailer ban on the bridge has been listed. but there's a 45-mile an hour speed restriction on the drpa. 27 have 20 plow trucks and 27 salt trucks they were ready. what a great picture there. >> reporter: and eventually the temperatures will warm up into the 40s. it will take time some areas have 30 inches of snow on the ground. fresh powder as the storm ripped the area. it was snowing for 24 hours in some locations. crews are out there continuing to remove the snow from the philadelphia international airport runways. the storm is gone, but we're concerned about the flooding waters down the jersey shore. high tide was on the oceanfront this morning. we're still seeing street flooding high enough to impact

the buildings. once we get into the evening high tide everything should go back to normal. the evening high tide may be elevated as well but you'll see everything get better each and every high tide from this point on. 23 degrees, dewpoint 10. windchills out of the north northwest at 12. windchill 1. 14 in in the poconos. 22 in trenton. feels like 11 degrees. if you're going out there, doing sledding dress appropriately because it will feel like this most of the day. it will be cold. windchills in the upper teens and low 20s. 7 in wilmington with the wind. 6 in lancaster and 13 in millville. here's satellite arena -- and radar. we are crystal clear up and down the eastern seaboard. the storm continues to pull away. watch whams when i set it in

every morning. 9:48 let's get the latest on travel delays anne cancellations at philadelphia international airport. we're joined by the airport spokesperson. yesterday the airport was closed and you were going to resume service today, bring us up to speed on what's happening right now. >> reporter: yesterday we worked throughout the day to clear the snow. now the runways are ready. unfortunately all the flights this morning were canceled by the middle of the afternoon american airlines is going to have more than half of the remaining flights get them ready out the door. so they are our dominant airlines. we are happy they are getting back to normal. we heard that some of the airlines because of the snowball effect no pun intended are cutting flights for monday. are you hearing that. each airline makes their own decision, that's why we encourage people to check with their carrier or phl.org.

it's so long since we've seen so much snow can you talk about the challenge to clear the snow from the runways? actually because there were no flights yesterday, we had more than 200 pieces of equipment on the airfield and the taxi ways and the roads. we have snow melters which are great piece of machinery that melt the snow and it's all been environmentally treated and put in the storm drain. latter mary flankery thank you for your time. to governor chris christie giving an update on what's happening in new jersey right now. it was a big storm, 24 to 30 inches up in the northern part of the state. 12 to 28 in the central part of the state. 12 to 20 inches in south jersey. everybody got hit fairly hard. the good news if you drive around the roads today, the folks standing behind me and all the folks they represent did an extraordinary job clearing the roads. if you drive across the new jersey it's clear, because of the hard work of the men and

women standing behind me and the folks out on the roads now. there were 100 or so people sheltered in atlantic, cape may and camden county and ocean county, as well. we're happy about that. we're happy to report that the new jersey transit system will be back you mean and running around noon. bus and light rail and rail. we had fewer than 300 accidents across the entire state that's a very, very small number that's a testimony to the folks staying off the roads. we had a high of 94,000 power outages across the state. we're down to about 25,000 this morning. the bulk of those are in cape may county about 18,000 in the atlantic city electric area. those folks 90% will be restored by the end of the day today. we have 3,000 up in bergen

county and four thousand in central new jersey. the four thousand folks in central new jersey will be restored by the afternoon this afternoon and we'll see up in bergen county i assume that would be the end of the day as well. the president of the bpu is monitoring that closely and working with the folks in bergen county to make sure power gets restored quickly. dep reports that the high tide was survived by the people in cape may county. only minor to moderate flooding mostly street flooding. we don't see significant property damage in cape may county. folks had to leave because of lack of power like sea isle, avalon, stone harbor, north wildwood. for those folks they went and sheltered with friends and family, some went to local hotels where generators were operating in order to stay warm. we are happy to report there were no deaths in new jersey

connected with the storm. i think today the most important thing for everybody to remember if you go out on the roads respect the speed limits very important. the roads are slick it's cold. we may have icing in places. we're working to salt in the areas, but there may be slick spots be careful take your time if you drive around today. you're free to go out and go to church and go to the supermarket or your kids sporting events if they have hockey games or basketball games. if you don't have to be out, there's no reason to go out. there's plenty of stuff for you to do around the house cleaning up on a foot 1/2, 2 1/2 feet of snow. last think, i feel very, very fortunate to have the folks in my cabinet, lieutenant governor, and all the folks who work for

after midnight this morning. today we have nice sunshine and dry weather anticipated which will help with the clearing operations throughout the rest of the day. there could some snow melts which could lead to pooling of water that could refreeze as the temperatures drop, so, again, as you're shoveling and clearing out, be mindful of that. take it easy on the monday morning commute. we continue to focus on transportation and snow clearing and public safety. the eoc will close at some point today. the priorities will continue to be focusing on the access for the emergency vehicles and assisting police department with clearance and quowrd -- could -- coordinating wld philadelphia

police -- washington, d.c. philadelphia police department department. we anticipatedded power outages and down trees. we had very few outages throughout the storm and no tree emergencies to report. i'll turn it over to the deputy manager to brief on transportation and plowings. we continue to plow and salt through the entire city on the primary and secondary routes. the focus is to widen them to make it possible for normal travel. we're working on the residential streets throughout the entire city to open those, as well. we're experiences challenges will cars left in the roadway that is slowing the plowing and salting process, those who have abandoned their cars dig them out and remove them so streets

can be plowed properly. we are at full deployment and maintain that status over 400 plows are on the street and 600 personnel are in action. its critical that our citizens not put snow back into the street. that hamper also the plowing i guess -- hampers the plowing separation in a great way. on the residential streets where we cruise smaller equipment it's not capable of handling the heavier snow after being four feet of snow piled in the streets after 22 inches ever snow. our operations at the airport have resumed. travelers are encouraged to check phl.org for their specific status with regards to their flight. i want to turn it over to the general manager of septa. >> reporter: thank you. some portions of our service regions were hard hit by

the storm receiving over two feet of snow. where conditions provide for safe and reliable service we are operating. here's the run down on all of our modes. market frankford and broad street subway lines have been running continuously throughout the storm and will so continue on without delays at this point. city trolleys all routes are up and run winning delays. suburban trolleys the media sharon hill line route 101 is running short of media. the route 102 sharon hill line will return to service late today. norristown high speed line it's a difficult situation with snow covering the third rail. we have a jet engine working to clear the third rail working currently between 69th and bryn mawr. we expect to restore service

between 69th and bryn mawr late today and the remainder of the line to nor town late tomorrow. in the city we are focusing on 11 priority routes. of the 11 nine of running. 14, 18, 21, 42, 56, 58, and 66. these routes feed the market frankford and broad street subway that are running. on suburban we have nine proprietors routes that well look to -- priority routes that we are looking to operate but are not operating yet. conditions were not safe. well add nonpriority routes throughout the day. people are encouraged to look for the most recent information. i'll tell you where in a minute. regional rail service will not run today with the exception of the airport high speed line which has just been returned to service. that's good news.

it will run between temple and the airport hourly. our employees and contractors are working on track situations and station all throughout the system. they will work today, tonight, to make the operations safe and reliable. parking will be a challenge throughout the week, but we will actual start trucking out snow throughout very soon out of the stations where we lost large numbers of spaces. much of the rnl -- regional alsystem will be running tomorrow with delays. only patients undergoing dialysis will be carried. tomorrow dialysis and medical appointments and essential work trips will be carried. i would like to thank all of our employees who are battling very difficult conditions and not only where they are working but even traveling to get to remote locations on the railroad. this is a very fluid situation.

for the last couple of days. as importantly our streets department our sanitation workers, our fleet people and 311 people, i had the privilege of going out to west philly those folks were soldiers in the war gains mother nature. they are taking 15 minute cat naps and back on the trucks and plows hauling salt and fixing cars and vehicles. anyone who thinks our city workers who don't care about their jobs or dedicated to the citizens of the city they are dead wrong. i watched them yesterday. i want to thank them personally for their sacrifice for there difficult situation. don't throw the snow back in the street. we recognize you needed to a three foot path. the more you throw in the street, the harder it is to get the streets clear. especially in little street. it will be that much longer we get it cleaned out. try to cooperate with that.

look after the neighbors especially the elderly and shut-ins. people will venture out because the sun is out, if you're walking to the supermarket or corner store knock on the door of a senior or shut-in. pick up groceries for them. do not walk in the street. i recognize it's a sunday and weekend many of our business owners may have not got the sidewalks clear wherever you can walk on the sidewalk not in the street it's a dangerous situation for you to be out there with cars beginning to utilize the streets again. i would ask our people who were out there in their cars to be extra careful watch out for pedestrians don't try to speed around there, don't show off your four wheel drive. try to make sure people are safe and weapon get through this together. thanks to the parking authority all vehicles in ppa grarnlings
