becomes the topic during the presidential debate. and the pope's fiat goes up for sale tonight at the philadelphia auto show. but the big story is the light snow on this friday afternoon. the action cam found flakes falling in trenton earlier today. and we could see more. it's cloudy and windy into the weekend, lets get a first choke with melissa magee at the big board. >> reporter: we are tracking snow showers scattered around the delaware and lehigh valley, we can seem them on stormtracker 6 live double scan and go in tighter on street level storm tracker, from trenton to philadelphia and down to willing. philadelphia we deal with light wet snow at this hour. if are you just to the north of the city and jenkintown, we are dealing with a heavier burst of snow and same in interior portions of south jersey and medford lakes and along route

4-in new jersey as well. we'll talk about what to expect for the rest of the afternoon. we are trackling the spotty snow showers and most are brief in nature and small accumulation is likely mainly on the non-paved surfaces and any time you get a snow squall you'll want to slow your travel down this afternoon. as far as temperatures are concerned even though the snow showers are moving on in a lot of this is not sticking on the roads. 41 in the city and 31 in the poconos and 37 in lancaster. the snow moves out fairly quickly later on this afternoon and this evening, setting us up for a nice weekend. tomorrow 39 degrees and sunshine and clouds, a chilly one but mild as we get into sunday up to 48, well above average and pretty nice by of at noon. we'll take a closer look at that and see if the mild trend follows us into next week. >> thank you melissa.

the ride to school ended with a trip to the hospital for several children in camden county, their bus involved in an accidents on its way to the gloucester township middle school. some students were treated at kennedy hospital. gray hall is joining us there. >> reporter: i want to pass you information, 12 people were involved in the accidents, at least 10 of them were students and six of them were transported to the hospital here in stratford, new jersey and four were transported to kennedy hospital in washington township. the good news in all of this, is that none of those studentses suffered life-threatening injuries. chopper 6 hd over the scene of this school bus accidents in gloucester, new jersey. people living nearby said they heard the collision. >> i looked and unfortunately you see the car hit the bus, i don't know if it bounced back

off or whatever. i'm glad it was not worse but it looked pretty serious. >> people fly down this road and you knew this would happen. >> reporter: 10 studentses were admitted to kennedy hospital and all are expected to be treated and released. it happened at sicklerville at the village bus stop. according to the school's facebook page, a robo call went out to parents alerting them that bus 74 was rear ended by a car and students were being evaluated. >> i am a parent and parents were here, so it was nerve-racking for some of them. people were relieved that no students were seriously injured. >> i think the parents were move frazzled than the kids. >> reporter: back out live again, the number is increased to at least 12 people involved in this accident and i can tell you that the hospital tells me that at least one female bus

driver was admitted to the hospital. we don't know the extent of her injuries. we are waiting to hear back from the police on an update on this bus crash. live in stratford, gray hall, channel 6 "action news." from our delaware newsroom police say a man found dead in newcastle was the victim of a homicide. his body was discovered last night and investigators say that the victim knew his killer. annie mccormick filed this story from the scene. >> reporter: someone called 911 after they were concerned about the victim they hadn't heard from him. they discovered the victim inside. they scoured this home after discovering the body of a man dead inside. >> the only information we have is that it's an adult male and not a random act and so police are currently searching for a

suspect. >> trying to ease concerns of neighbors in this quiet community. they have identified a suspect, and they are not releasing the name of the suspect or the victim at that time. >> the victim and suspect was known to one another. that is one of the things we do want to let any community know. >> police confirmed the victim lived in the home ofer court. >> nothing everybody happened around here like this, i'm a little shook up. >> i don't have extra -- we are surprised too. >> reporter: according to police they received a call for a welfare check at 10:00 p.m. and neighbors watched in shock as the crime scene unit spent all night and morning combing the scene and investigators circled the outside of the home and

centered a lot of their attention on the second floor. and police say this is an ongoing investigation, are you urged to contact them. annie mccormick, channel 6 "action news." a pennsylvania man is facing homicide charges for the accidental shooting death of his 12-year-old daughter even though he did not fire the gun. it happened while the constable served an eviction notice. the bullets traveled through mier's arm and struck his daughter, sierra. they said that myers's reckless actions in pointing a weapon at the constable led to sierra's death. philadelphia police have identified the grocery store customer who was killed during an attempted robbery. 20-year-old donald green was shot to death in the doorway of

the grocery store on wednesday night. investigators say that two men were trying to rob him shot green twice from close range. homicide desks are looking for both men. the gop candidates are back on the campaign trail after last night's debate. senator marco rubio criticized president obama's response to the shooting of an officer in philadelphia. officer jessie hartnett was ambushed earlier this month. >> look at the attack they inspired in philadelphia that the white house still refuses to link to terror. a guy shot him three times and told police he was inspired by isis and still the white house refuses to say it has anything to do with terror. >> and donald trump had a feud with the moderator and had his own event at the same time.

drivers in san diego witnessed the burning wreckage during rush hour. a truck plunged off one freeway and crashed on to the freeway below, a driver and passenger was able to climb out before the truck exploded. investigators determined another vehicle rear ended the truck pushing it over the end. and a new lead in the case of lauren spearer an indiana student missing since 2011, they raided the home of a former sex

offender. the fbi brought cadaver dogs to the house. police recovered her purse and keys but nothing else. a texas judge decided that the so-called affluenza teen will be held in a juvenile detention center and not a prison. a judge decided next month if the entire case will be transferred to the adult system. the 18-year-old couch is on probation for a drunk driving wreck that killed four people. a woman that taught english classes at a southern california jail is arrested on suspicion of helping three inmates escape. they believe she helped them escape by bringing tools and google maps to the men. the breakout was not discovered for 16 hours. and four other people are

arrested in connection with the breakout. and crews in san francisco are working hard to get security in place for super bowl on february 7th, including super bowl city that opened tomorrow. the fan village features activities and concerts and is thought to attract thousands of visitors each day. metal detectors are installed at every entrance. a 16-year-old student was slapped with a $200 fine for taking a second lunch at his high school in wisconsin. the head cook pursued him for charges for theft but he says the case was reported to school administrators and they decided what to do next. >> there are some cases where referrals go to the police department and they decide. >> school officials do not give anymore detales but make sure no

gloucester county where we had snow showers earlier today, heading back into the city and back into philadelphia, we have a mostly cloudy skies and chilly conditions and the winds are a factor as well later on this afternoon. as far as the temperature in philadelphia, 41 degrees, even though the snow showers are coming on in. we have wet snowflakes and not expecting anything on the roads, just the none paved surfaces at this hour. winds 17 miles per hour and the windchill coming in at 32 and the pressure 29.56 and holding steady. 30 in the poconos and 38 in allentown, sea isle city 42 and out to the west in lancaster, 35. and here is satellite 6 along with action radar this is the weak disturbance we are tracking, it continues to pivot across the mid-atlantic and the northeast and as a result we have the snow showers to contend
