that low continues to pull up the eastern seaboard and that packs up this precipitation and rain is already falling in southern new jersey and delaware and it will overspread the region in the overnight hours. it begins as rain everywhere, look at the temperatures, mid to upper 40s and philadelphia 50 degrees. in the last week temperatures have been in the 40s, 50s and 6:00. and the pavement surfaces are very warm going into the storm which is a good thing for the morning rush tomorrow. future tracker 6 at 7:00 a.m., snow will be falling as colder air gets pulled into the northern fringe of this system. mainly philadelphia and southern delaware, farther west of philadelphia is where you miss out the wet snow, it goes into effect at 1:00 in the morning it's for the heart of the delaware valley and southern new jersey and southern delaware. the precipitation is just to the

with a vehicle today in cumberland, new jersey, a crash sent teenagers and adults to the hospital. gray hall is live in camden where the most seriously injured victim is being treated right now. >> reporter: sharrie that victim is identified as 82-year-old bus aide vera cold, she is listed in stable and critical condition as she recovers. investigators are trying to figure out what caused this fatal crash. >> a trip to school ended in tragedy as a school bus and toyota rav 4 collided. >> the noise was horrific, a big bang, crash, a lot of sliding, it was dragging. >> none of the students had major injuries but the driver of the toyota didn't make it out alive. >> i feel so bad. >> new jersey state police say

that at 7:42 a.m. the driver hit the school bus and it forced it off the road and it overturned. people were shaken up by the crash happening so close to home. >> i have small ones, it's sad my kids have questions, all the kids are scared someone lost their life. >> the bus was heading to pine land learning center, students ages 7 to 13 were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. an 82-year-old bus aide was taken to the hospital listed in critical but stable condition. the residents are saddened by the loss of life but thankful no kids were seriously injured. >> how can you explain someone coming out of a vehicle that just got smashed. they were highly upset and shaken but there was so much

help here. >> reporter: again back out live tonight, i can tell this investigation continues, meantime the four students along with the bus driver they are treated and released from the hospital live tonight in camden, new jersey, gray hall, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. police say that four teenagers are now charged in an armed robbery on the schuylkill river trail. it happened last night before 9:00. investigators say the teens threatened a man with a b.b. gun that had the appearance of a real gun, the teenagers also kicked and punched the man. >> the simple fact that this male handed over his items a cell phone bag or laptop, and he refused to unlock the phone and they began to punch and kick the individual, it's barbaric. >> police are not sure if the teens are responsible for additional robberies that happened along the trail but

"action news" learned the six bedroom house was on the market listed at more than $800,000. new jersey residents impacted by last month's blizzard got their questions answered today. representatives from the christie administration held a meeting at sea isle city and one in wildwood. they were answering any questions that residents and businesses there are still facing. also democratic leaders are pitching a plan to raise the state's minimum wage to $15 an hour and it's a move that they say will rebuild the middle class in the garden state. the current wage in the garden state is $8.38, he says there are too many hard working people living in poverty and something

>> and that she will. crystal cruises says the ship will need to meet more than 60 years of new rules and regulations before she can be turned into a state of art commercial vessel. the ss united states will undergo a 9 month feasibility study and here is the rendering of what she would look like and set sail with cruise goers. >> it's a fascinating process. thank you. time for a check of the accuweather forecast as we await the arrival of snow. adam joseph is here with the latest. >> before the snow falls, the rain will fall and it's beginning to built in southern parts of new jersey and southern delaware, this is all in response to the front that passed through yesterday with some of that heavy rain and it's backing in as low pressure develops and throws extra moisture inland and pockets of downpours especially along the

garden state parkway and 72 and parts of long beach island the northern end of it starting to lessen the intensity of the rain and some lifting to the north and catching a break but overall the rain intensifies especially in the delaware and southern new jersey into the evening hours. it's extremely mild out there, you say how could it snow with temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees, well colder air is wrapping as the low develops from the north to make the switch over but that is not until well after midnight. there to the south plenty of moisture building in raleigh and charleston, south carolina. we are still in the mid-40s at 11:00 tonight with rain all the way far west as philadelphia, and dry in the far northwestern suburbs and then as we go later in time. 6:30 on friday morning that is when the switch over begins and

notice the temperatures are above freezing and the ground is extremely warm at the present time and this is a wet snow that falls but any snow during the morning rush is something we want to follow and 10:00 in the morning it pushes off the coast and the sunshine quickly returns from the west to the east and beautiful with melting going on tomorrow afternoon and full sunshine and highs above average in the middle 40s, expected snow north and west of the pennsylvania turnpike, chester county and buck county and lehigh valley, a coating to an inch, trenton and wilmington and southern new jersey and delaware, 1 to 3 inches and a lot of this son the grassy surfaces and some slush on the side streets and the bull's-eye is parts of atlantic county straight up to new york city and burlington county where we see 3 inches of that heavy wet snow, the four day at 4:00 forecast, a transition of morning snow to afternoon sunshine melting some of that away at 44 degrees, definitely it's gone by the

police in north philadelphia are looking for the man that robbed a pair of businesses with

a knife. they gave us surveillance video of both incidents. first they say the man robbed a dunkin' donuts on west lehigh avenue. you can see him reaching through the window taking money from the register knife in hand and then the same man robbed k and s food market on west fifth street and the clerk tried to fight him off but he grabbed money and ran. the snow is coming and it's time to think spring, the philadelphia flower show is just a month ago. mayor kenney announced the theme today. it's celebrated with america's history and beauty with national parks and landmarks. it opened at the pennsylvania convention center on march 5th, 6 abc is proud once again to be a broadcast media partner always such a great show.

back but it's mainly right around philadelphia to the south and east and much less in the far western suburbs where less snow will fall and less accumulation, but winter weather advisories from coastal maine through boston and new york city and down the pike in parts of maryland and as we zoom in closer it begins at 1:00 in the morning and the snow begins to fall, it's the heart of the delaware valley and all of delaware and the exception is the poconos and the delaware valley not within the winter weather advisory as they are far west of that coastal system. in the far western suburbs the snow starts at midnight along i-95 wilmington and trenton midnight to 2:00 a.m. and eastern new jersey the rain turns over to snow between 2:00 and 5:00 in the morning, this is a drop in the bucket compared to the blizzard a month ago and

care. a woman found him wandering the neighborhood and brought him to the day care. vernon odom is live outside of special victims outside of hunting park with the latest. >> reporter: good evening. a lost child only 3 years old is fortunate that a good samaritan neighbor found him and quickly got him out of harm's way. this 3-year-old child was in police hands after a city employee found the boy wandering alone on the 1200 block of south 56th at 7:00 this morning. they took the child to a neighborhood day care and went to work. she was unable to tell her his name or where he lived. >> he did not have any shoes on

just socks. they were wet and we put new socks on and he had on a hoody and long pants. >> the case was turned over to the special victims unit and the child was handed over to the department of human services and police said it was not wrong before they got a report of a missing child from the uncle. the woman said she went to work leaving her son in the care of thecle. the child wandered out when the uncle was distracted. but it will be up to the d.a. to decide if anyone would be prosecuted. >> how did he get out? thinking of my own children and how unsafe the world is. anything could have happened to the child. >> tonight captain john darby says that these incidents are

very common but are not public like this, the investigation into this wandering child continues at this hour. i'm vernon odom, channel 6 "action news." >> a bit a happy ending at least. thank you. philadelphia police released new video of a shooting hoping it will help them make an arrest. this was the scene tuesday morning outside of the sugar and spice grocery store on frankford avenue near fullcroft street. the man that opened fire had gotten out a silver car and a man shot walked a couple of blocks to the hospital. a report a student with a gun caused a lock down at a philadelphia high school earlier today. chopper 6 hd was overhead as police arrived at thomas edison high school and they searched for an hour but never found a weapon. the officers gave the all clear shortly after noon. a water main break caused a

mess in the port richmond section of philadelphia. it shows water throwing down caster avenue, crews from the philadelphia water department are on the scene trying to fix the main, they say it's an 8 to 12 inch pipe that has broeken ad they rerouted traffic in that area. people on a west oak street are back in their home after being evacuated in the middle of the night. someone called in a gas leak on 21st street. pge was called in to repair the broken main and they evacuated everyone until they could repair the main. >> it turns out yoga is good for more than just flexibility. and good for your heart. monica malpass is live in the newsroom with details on this yoga story. >> reporter: it is american heart month with heart at the

durham road at pine lane and our crash in wilmington at 95 southbound at mlk has cleared but sluggish. and a downed pole closing down newport road by the sheraton. we'll check it again at 5:00. a legal battle could be brewing in california over a $63 million lottery jackpot. the man filed the lawsuit saying he is the winner of that prize. he took it to the store and got a letter congratulating him. meanwhile the deadline to claim the $63 million prize is now just hours away.

paul was in florida all last week how was that? >> wonderful. >> we have snow coming in tonight, it's a very small amount but bad timing for the morning rush. as we look at double scan live radar we see showers in southern parts of delaware and southern new jersey and they intensify and become all rain. pockets of rain between elmer and glass bro and millville and cape may county but overall wet roadways in this location to the northern and west. 50 now in philadelphia, 46 in millville and 46 in dover and these numbers are warm over the

last week, the pavement surfaces thankfully are not cold going into this particular system. low pressure is developing right off the southern part of the outer banks of carolinas and goes out to sea and we get scraped by the precipitation, future tracker 6 shows the timing at 10:00 it picks up in philadelphia and wilmington in the form of light rain showers and heavier pockets along the shore but at 10:00 temperatures are in the mid-40s. we have to wait until 4:00, 5:00, 6:00 in the morning for cooler air to pull in and even at 6:30 in the morning temperatures are above freezing at the ground where the snow is falling but with some wind there will be reduced visibility but at 10:00 the sunshine quickly returns in the middle part of the morning and maybe not even a flake will call in the lehigh valley where you are far from the coast at storm.

use caution tomorrow morning there could be reduced visibility and gusty winds. main roads look to be wet given how warm it has been. the secondary roads could turn slushy at times and the accumulation is on the cars and trees and houses and grassy surfaces, everywhere north and west of philadelphia central bucks county and philadelphia, wilmington and dover and much of the viewing area 1 to 3 inches of that wet snow and the bull's-eye zone is near hammonton chads work and long beach island we owe could pick up minimum of 3 inches of snow. the exclusive accuweather forecast the morning snow philadelphia to the south and east gives way to afternoon sun and a lot of melting going on and full sun tomorrow afternoon. beautiful weekend upper 40s on saturday and sun and clouds and
