overbrook section. it is sunny and mild end to the weekend, but snow is possible next week. let's get the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast with meteorologist chris sowers. >> reporter: good afternoon, guys, a little bit light snow is in the forecast monday night into tuesday, it feels great out here this afternoon, 44 degrees in philadelphia. 43 in allentown. 43 in reading. millville, 43. wilmington, 42. dover, 42. trenton, 43 degrees. huge improvement earlier this morning, most locations were is in the teens and 20s. in some cases we've jumped 25 degrees already. the clouds continue to i know crease from the south -- increase from the south as the coastal storm develops off the coast of the cape hatteras off north carolina. heavy rains from charlotte and raleigh east to the outer banks there. this storm will behave itself

and pull away from the mid atlantic coast. now, it may brush parts of the area with a brief rain or snow shower overnight tonight after midnight. that appears to be about it from that system. forecast for the afternoon, cloudy skies, sunshine, 47 degrees by 2:00. 4:00 p.m., 48. 6:00 p.m., starting to cool back down 46 degrees. looking ahead after a spring-like sunday we're watching tuesday very closely. some of the latest forecast information is coming in. it still shows the potential of accumulating snow in parts of the area. regardless of how much snow we see tuesday it's sharply colder in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. some of the coldest air of the season is on the way next week. i'll tell you about when it see you in just a few minutes. we're learning new information after a police officer was dragged by a car. it happened in the city's overbrook section. police have the driver in

custody. "action news" reporter, trish hartman is live at southwest detectives, trish what is the latest? >> reporter: nydia, gray the driver of the car is a 52-year-old man from cheltenham. he will be arraigned and charged with aggravated assault and alluding a police officer and other crimes after he fled from a traffic stop dragging the officer. this started at 2:00 a.m. near the intersection of 61st and lancaster in the city's overbrook section. the 19th district officer spotted the driver driving without headlights. this was a strong smell of alcohol coming from inside the car. when the officer told the driver to turn the car off, the suspect put it into gear and accelerated. the officer was knocked to the ground and dragged a short dance before the car got away. the silver vehicle was spotted on city avenue heading toward the schuylkill expressway. the man crashed into another car

on the exit ramp on city avenue on to lincoln drive. at that point the man fled on foot. he was found in a school year near kelly drive and ridge avenue and arrested. >> reporter: the police officer was not taken to the hospital. he is expected to be fine. we were told by police there was a female passenger in the vehicle. police say upon further investigation they determined this is no one else in the car and they are no longer looking for anymore suspects. nydia. to a report, now, a smoke detecter is credited for getting two women and three teenagers out of the burning house on north 59th street. firefighters arrived they found the residents safely outside. crews put the flames in 15 minutes. there was no word on the cause.

a man is fighting for his life, the action cam was on the 200 block of west nedro. he was shot in the stomach and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. he told police he was standing on the sidewalk who he when he t and did not see who pulled the trigger. a 14-year-old is recovering after being attacked by the family dog in west philadelphia. this happened on the 5700 block of pemberton street. the american bulldog was locked in the basement, but it managed to escape when someone knocked on the door of the home. the dog bit the girl in the face an arms. when the officers arrived the dog charged them. they were forced to shoot the animal. police are investigating. health officials in montgomery county are trying to track down a good samaritan who might have exposed to rabies.

suburbs. this is advancing into lancaster, reading, philadelphia, 4:00 p.m. as we continue to rush this thing through, by 11:00, picking up a lighter snow for parts the area. the the latest computers information coming in, it's showing about 4 inches of snow mainly on grassy surfaces. however it comes down hard enough for a time it could stick to the untreated back roads and sidewalks again this is tuesday. the newest information on the nam goes from one inch to three inches. a light event. one inch being a inches. 3 inches something you have to shovel. the lates information is putting out more than what we've looking at over the last couple of days. we'll see. cloud to sun, 48 degrees is the forecasted high. winds out of the east at 10 miles per hour.

assault and alluding a police officer and dui. police are not looking for any other suspects. here's what police say happened. this started at 61st and lancaster in the city's overbrook section. the 19th district officer spopted -- spotted a car driving without headlights and pulled the car over. there was a strong smell of alcohol come from the inside the car. when the police officer told him to relax and turn the car off. he put the car in gear and act set railed -- accelerated. the officer was dragged and skidded 20 feet. the vehicle was spotted on city avenue and heading toward the schuylkill expressway. the map crashed into another car near ridge and kelly drive. the man jumped out and fled on foot toward ridge avenue he was found a short time later at a

tennis court and he was arrested. initially we were told there was a female passenger in the car, upon investigation they determined there was no one else in the car and they are no longer looking for any other suspects. trish hartman channel 6 "action news." from the new jersey newsroom at the big board, flames devoured a bar in cumberland county. the action cam was at the scene on the 500 block of south second street in millville. the blaze break out at 6:30 and went to three-alarm also. i came here there was a lot of smoke and they started busting the windows open, it was all over with. firefighters rescued a person in the building. that person was not hurt. it took three hours for crews to get the fire under control. at this point there's no word on what sparked it.

philadelphia police are searching for three people after a cab driver was shot in the city's point breeze section. officers say two men and a woman flagged the cabby down yesterday morning. once they happen got to 28th and tasker, the man in the passenger seat pulled a gun and demanded money. the driver was shot in the arm and kept driving and eventually crashed into several 35rbgd cars. i came -- parked cars. i heard the crash, i heard the people trying to get out. temple university police looking for three men after someone drew a swastika on a snow covered car near campus. it was found on the 2100 block of north carlisle in north philadelphia. police row leased pictures of these -- released the pictures

of these men they want to talk to. police in alabama say a 3-year-old boy accidently shot and killed his 9-year-old sister. he found the loaded gun on the night stand in the grandfather's home in the birmingham suburbs. the girl died at the hospital from a gunshot wound to the head. the grandfather said he left the gun on the night stand not knowing his grabbed children were coming over. north korea launched a satellite into orbit. critics say it's meant to test missile technology. china north korea's main ally expressed regrets over the launch. south korea and the u.s.s. -- us
