for nearly 30 years 'occasionally yours' has been a 'constant' fixture in town serving up home cooked meals. >> we started with a lunch menu and a dinner menu and then gradually added breakfast. >> theresa and scott richardson have been building their all day menu with family recipes and fresh ingredients. >> everything is made here that's a lot of hours in the kitchen it's a lot we make it work though. >> the turkey club is piled high with meat roasted on site. >> there's no lunch meat we bake all of our meats and then slice them to order. >> a variety of soups will keep the chill off and theresa says the chicken barley is good medicine. >> it cure anything that ails you. >> the all-day breakfast menu is higlighted by their omelette selection. >> oh, i like ti theresa. >> and the crab cakes are an occasional treat served on the first friday of every month. >> the crab cakes are something special. >> it's a winner in swarthmore i see why they come back. >> the r-3 septa line will drop you right in the heart of town, where you'll find a variety of shops. >> is it a walkable town? >> it's completely walkable. the whole town itself is only about a square mile.

>> emily scott opened the compendium boutique in 2012 with an eye for lesser known labels. >> i work with primarily made in america and locally made designers. >> the clothes you'll find are nearly one of a kind. >> a lot of the styles in store you're not going to see anywhere else every friday i get new arrivals in so there's always something fresh to see. >> the compendium also carries gifts like hand made soaps, jewelry and hand bags. all made in america and sold affordably. >> so the gifts are gonna be under 25 most of the clothes will be under 50. >> while the compendium is relatively new, the swarthmore food cooperative is one of the oldest in the country. >> the swarthmore cooperative itself has been in existence since 1937. >> with an on-site butcher, a sushi chef and a full menu of sandwiches like the great gats-beef.you can stop for a meal or take one to go. >> it gets packed we have almost anything you would want. >> they even have fresh peanut butter. unsalted roasted peanuts. grinded up on demand. >> we tend to have more of the specialty and unique items.

i heard about this restaurant i just haven't had an opportunity to go there we don't go over to the marina district very often lets go check it out. >> lunch goes for 15.16 and dinner for 33.16. >> it is 3 courses it's an appetizer entrée and dessert >> casa taco and tequila bar is right off the a-c boardwalk in the tropicana marketplace. anything you can find in mexico. you'll find here. >> the atmosphere here is amazing for the moment you walk into the door to the moment you leave you're gonna have great service. >> the restaurant boasts more than 100 tequilas. all 100 percent pure agave. >> no artificials added into it >> for food, there are everyday favorites like the guacamole and chicken sylviano, but restaurant week also includes specials like the shrimp empanadas and the casa platter. a sampler of staples. >> over at the taj mahal, il mulino is celebrating restaurant week in the trattoria dining room. >> we have the best italian food i believe in the country. >> the menu is inspired by italy's abruzzo region. you can start your meal with the arancini or meatballs and ricotta. when people come they're not sure exactly what to expect but by the time they're done and with the service and the presentation of this delicious food we overwhelm the guests by the time they're done.

two at any atlantic city restaurant week restaurant. >> plus breakfast for two the next morning. >> we've posted the link to enter on our fyi philly website and facebook page. >> you can also find it on the contests tab of the 6abc website. >> and while en route to the shore, consider a little detour to mullica hill. >> because in that tiny town, karen discovered a hidden gem >> tucked off main street in mullica hill in an unsuspecting old barn, kara ferguson has set up shop. >> it is so quaint i love it as soon as you step inside you get kinda a cool vibe. >> it's called canteen and it's everyday sandwiches with a twist. >> so we'll add a little jam to a sandwich maybe we'll put some fruit on there and just just to jazz it up a bit. >> the truffle honey grilled cheese is one of her signature sandwiches. >> truffle honey doesn't that sound good? and we've got some goat cheese. >> oozy, i love it. >> the tbp, or turkey, brie and pear, is also a fan favorite. and then there's what kira calls the grown. grown up, what makes them grown up? >> this makes it grown up because there's two imported cheeses on there we have brie and we also have fontina cheese.

>> the canteen shares space with a local antique and interior design shop. >> it's a dual business here and for kara, it's the realization of a lifelong dream. >> i love to cook and i loved food i tell people i went to the school of food network because i grew up just watching all of those shows >> you were a food network junkie a born and raised jersey girl, she went to school for criminal justice and spent 13 years as an auditor, a job that involved lots of eating on the road. >> i travel around and i taste different things and i never replicate a recipe but i take flavors and i say i like these things together. >> 2 years ago, she took the plunge and opened the canteen, cooking on weekends and working her main job all week. >> are you still working day job during the week and doing >> this also as of actually this week was my last week at home depot. >> high five! >> while sandwiches are her specialty, she's also known for flatbreads. >> so this is our habanero peach flatbread and this one is actually this is my favorite flatbread on the menu. >> you really do a great job of pulling all these flavors together you know it's really interesting i can see why people love it here. >> that's why it pays to explore off the beaten path. >> yes, it does but now we're going to hit a well-traveled route. >> center city has another new addition to what is fast- becoming outlet row.

>> the lodge will be decorated with native american inspired art, a 12 foot waterfall, giant emulated redwoods and show-stopping floral totems. so think of a totem and then think of a hanging basket, and think of smashing them together, and that's what they're going to be. >> each of the exhibits in the show is inspired by a different national park making for what. we have hawaii national volcano, so there will be orchids and tropical plants represented. and the super popular fido friday is back for a second >> there's a keepsake teddy bear in honor of national parks founder teddy roosevelt and the show kicks off with a cabin fever country hoedown. >> come in and see all of these great flowers. we're gonna have country music playing in the base camp. we're actually gonna do line dancing. >> the flower show opens saturday, march 5th. >> and we will have a 1 hour special that night on everything you need to fully

staters are hard at work >> they're putting the finishing touches on what is the largest student-run philanthropic event in the world! >> and it's all for the kids. >> 3, 2, 1. >> it is the 43rd annual penn state dance. marathon, affectionately known as thon. >> and this is 46 hours straight. >> 46 hours, no sitting, no sleeping. >> thon starts at 6pm friday and doesn't stop until 4pm next sunday. this year, more than 700 dancers will rise to the challenge, but 15,000 will be there to support them every step of the way. >> it's really just the best thing to be a part of at penn state. there's actually nothing like it. >> there's a magic energy happening in the building. >> it's really incredible to see an entire student body coming together to take a stand against childhood cancer. >> thon marks the end of a year-long effort to raise money for the four diamonds fund at penn state hershey's children's hospital. >> just so people like me can take care of our children without worrying about bills

>> she's a pure bred mutt and we love her for all of it. >> trudy louise has plenty of puppy energy. >> can you smile for the camera. >> in her new home she's the baby in a pack of 4. >> we have 3 dogs all over the age of 8 - one is a senior lab we just knew that it needed to be an appropriate fit for our guys. >> daelyn scoured hundreds of adoptable animals before meeting trudy. >> it was just instant i just knew it absolutely immediately it went off without a hitch it was like she'd been there for our entire lives. >> to love a canine. we are an an all breed no kill rescue. >> t-l-c has found more than a thousand dogs homes since starting the foster based rescue in 2013. >> right now they are trying to place maverick. >> he's a 1-2 year old shepard mix. mav gets along well with other >> dogs and is house trained. he's the perfect dog if i didn't already have 4 he would be mine. >> lola is sniffing around for a new home. she's a treeing walker coonhound. >> she loves to play - she gets along with all dogs' big and small. >> she would love an active family. >> somebody with an active lifestyle that is willing to take her on long walks, hikes, she loves doing that. >> and if you're looking for a valentine, griffin is the perfect sweetheart.
