meteorologist in melissa magee is here with the first check of the accu weather forecast, hi there melissa. >> walter and sarah snow is likely later tomorrow and into the evening hours before we get a change over to rain. a lot going on over the next 24 to 48 hours across the delaware and lehigh valleys but that bitter blast of arctic air continues today. the currently just 18 in philadelphia. four in the poconos. twelve in lancaster. along coast in wildwood 18 degrees. we are still dealing with the northwesterly win. factor in the wind chill it feels like just four in lancaster, six for wilmington and dover. current wind chill in philadelphia ten and minus eight current wind chill number in the poconos. we will go from frigid digits to tracking snow, as early as tomorrow. winter weather advisory has been posted for philadelphia. that 95 corridor points to the north and west as well, it goes up at 6:00 a.m. on monday lasting right to 2:00 a.m. on tuesday a period of light to moderate snow will be on the the way. the here's storm tracker six live double scan radar a few features we are tracking for you.

we have an arctic high pressure overhead keeping things nice and dry. the nice and cold. this ridge of high pressure moves to the east later on tonight and into the day on monday. so you note thinks weak disturbance batch of moisture over the ohio valley. this will streak northward and east ward as we go throughout the overnight hours w that a couple flurries are likely early tomorrow morning but the the main area of low pressure still out across texas. this passed into gulf moisture and cuts west which means we have snow changing over to rain as the day wears on. future tracker six showing you a south to north direction that snow will inundate much of the delaware and lehigh valleys by 2:00 tomorrow afternoon. we will talk about what we can expect and go overtime line for you. in the morning, with the ground still cold, wouldn't be surprised if we had a couple flurries. morning commute is okay but light snow is likely after eight or 9:00 o'clock in the morning. by the afternoon we have steady to moderate snowfall overhead and by the evening, we are tracking a wintry mix, of snow changing over to mixed

with my dad, and about to use it for first couple times out here just trying to stay warm. >> reporter: while wind chill was almost unbearable for many, this visitor says that it is all in what you you are used to. >> i think i like the cold, because in ukraine and russia it is normal. >> reporter: reporting from center city, trish hartman channel six "action news". frigid temperatures caused an icy scene in the aftermath of the six alarm fire that broke out yesterday morning. take a look at how this building is encased in ice. the this was the result of hours of water being sprayed on the fire. the blaze broke out yesterday morning at the commercial building in the 4600 block of griscom street in the frankford section. three people were hurt, including one fire fighter. the cause of the blaze is still under investigation. and fire fighters in chester had a view of both fire and ice this have afternoon right there in delaware county. the fire broke out shortly before 5:00 on the two story twin on the 1100 block of central avenue. it was a two alarm fire.

short time later because of heavy smoke and bringing in extra crews because of the cold. they quickly doused those flames and nobody was injured. water filing morning for a south philadelphia woman when two men pretending to be utility workers forced their way in to their home and attack her. the "action news" reporter christie let the owe spoke with the victim today, and she joins us live from police headquarters now, christie lleto? >> reporter: well, she tells "action news" that the two men knocked on their door claiming they needed to check her pipes. she turned them away. but when they knocked a second time that is when it took a violent turn. >> they pushed themselves in like this, second guy came in over here, where is the money. >> reporter: stitch necessary her head and blood splattered fleece, painted a picture of the assault that went on in her house this morning. >> with that second guy push my mom down that is when i got really mad. like, you hit my mom. the she's dying.

then that is when i started, to like try to like take his gun away from him because it was just like a natural instinct that kicked in. i don't care what are you going to go to jail. what? you think you will getaway with this. >> reporter: police say two men posing as utility workers when they forced their way in. one man went upstairs going through her room, other stayed downstairs with her and her mom. she now wonders if she was targeted. >> i don't understand like why they would think that they would come to our house, maybe targeting me because i'm asian, because they just assume that asian people keep money in their house. >> reporter: suspects fled. >> second had blue shirt. >> you have to think so. >> i think they should turn their lives around. >> reporter: now police are in the process of retrieving surveillance footage and if you have any information, contact police. the reporting live, christie

lleto for channel six a "action news". >> thanks, christie. a woman remains in critical condition after her throat was slashed during a fight outside a bar overnight in mayfair. it happened just before 2:00 a.m. at fiddler's green tavern on the 7300 block of frankford avenue. investigators say she was dancing with another patron when a woman came up and struck her with the beer bottle. the bottle broke but woman kept swinging cutting the victim on her face and neck. she took off and remains on the loose tonight. one man is in critical condition after being shot in the head today in north philadelphia a. investigators say that the 46 year-old victim was found just about two hours ago on the 3100 block of north 15th street. he was rushed to temple university hospital. so far no arrests in this case. new information tonight in that deadly crash on i78 in lebanon county. seventy-three people have now been treated for injuries at 11 different hospitals and now officials a more than 60 reek also were involved. the massive pile up occurred yesterday morning in bethel township. three people were killed,

problem however temperatures are still in the teens. it is 18 currently in philadelphia with the wind chill of 10 degrees. four in the poconos. minus eight is your current feels like number. fourteen in reading. along the coast in wildwood coming in at 18 degrees. changes however are coming overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning. here is satellite six with action radar we have a partly cloudy sky, clouds will continue to build in and thicken. couple features we are tracking here. high pressure overhead right now which is why it is cold and why it is dry. the out to the west across the ohio valley, a little bit of snow that will continue to work eastward overnight tonight and then a threat of the couple flurries early tomorrow morning. but the main precipitation that we are tracking is still developing. we have an area of low pressure over texas that taps into a lot the of moisture. this will cut west ward across our region. once that occurs we have the snow at the on set tomorrow and then quickly changing over to rain. call from accu weather for rest of tonight increasing clouds with some pretty frigid, 4 degrees and overnight low will drop down

to 13 in philadelphia with that easterly win. we will time out precipitation for you early tomorrow morning future tracker six showing you at 6:00 in the morning it the is mostly cloudy. we are okay for that morning commute but as that moisture continues to streak northward and eastward i wouldn't be surprised if we had a couple flurries flying around especially given the fact that temperatures have been well below average the in the single digits those sub zero wind chills. 2:30 tomorrow afternoon we are tracking that light to moderate snow across much of the delaware and lehigh valleys which is why that winter weather advisory has been posted. so as far as expected snowfall across the region coating to an inch for ocean, burlington, and southern camden and gloucester counties. nothing for cape may. atlantic county. but inland, along that i-95 corridor one to 3 inches of snowfall, likely especially as you move north and west. poconos, you can see three plus inches of snow but overall across our region we are calling for one to 3 inches. that is the initial wave that moves through. then we will get a period of changing from snow over to

milk precipitation. future tracker six showing you 4:00 p.m. tomorrow note that is mixed line approaching areas and southern burlington, also atlantic, down through cape may counties as well, still snow at 4:00 o'clock for inland locations but by 6:00 p.m. that snow and mixed line is approaching philadelphia and that i-95 corridor, rain to the south, still snow to the the north and west. the by 8:00 o'clock tomorrow night we have a quick transition, from that mixed precipitation over to rain, and then it looks to be a good soaking as that storm system cuts up to the west and we will tap into a southeasterly wind, as we get that milder air coming in off the atlantic. good soaking on the way as early as tuesday morning right through the afternoon hour. couple of key take away points. something to keep in mind tomorrow and likely tuesday, the ground is frozen. temperatures have been well below average. so the snow will accumulate fairly quickly especially on any untreated surfaces. we have got that mix, throughout the evening hours tomorrow, and then changing over to rain. we can find three-quarters to an inch and a half of rainfall
