kind of on the ground that long and doing this sort of damage. >> white horse is amish country, the deeply religious commune was already cleaning up and rebuilding today. the amish doesn't obtain traditional insurance but count on their fellow man to help. >> it's amish aid, every neighbor come together and helps the other out. >> families will be assessed a certain amount if need be to help pay for the cost and they do the work themselves. >> a command center is set up at the fire company and amish from around the region came to help those effective. the cleanup is effective but this storm could have been much more devastating. >> there are no reported injuries that we are aware of and they are fortunate in this area. >> reporter: and officials tell us that the estimated cost of

touched down at 7:38 at white horse north of gap and we had the tornado watch posts in the afternoon because the setup in the atmosphere was really prime for tornadoes to develop. the strong upper level low and upper level vortex, a spin ahead of the squall line that was pushing quickly to the east and on top of that a strong jet stream and that give it lift, and then a lot of low level moisture and added wind with the low level jet and that created the spin and that created the storm. and now i'm tracking cold air moving in we'll talk about that in the full accuweather forecast. >> thank you. no tornadoes in the delaware valley but the fierce wind and heavy rain caused plenty of damage. in hatboro, police or people woke up to find uprooted trees

and elsewhere in the neighbor the downed trees narrowly missed home. homeowners in cherry hill was not as fortunate. a massive tree split in half falling toion of the homes on queen anne-road. fortunately nobody was hurt. on the other side of the township this tree missed the home but crushed a pickup truck. >> all the rain that fell overnight causes some flooding in the brandywine creek. this was walkers mill in wilmington. the coverage of the storm's aftermath continues at 6abc.com, we have posted raw video from chopper 6 showing it's damage left behind by the lancaster county tornado and reports on the clean up in communities across the tri-state area. a south jersey hospital alerted over 200 former patients that they need to be tested for exposure for a couple of serious diseases.

one can only imagine the recipientses of the letters are stunned and upset. nora muchanic has the story. >> reporter: think of all the people he could have exposed. >> eileen of atlantic city is one of 213 former patients at shore medical center who have gotten a letter saying they need to be tested for possible exposure to hiv and hepatitis. >> when i got the letter i was hist orecal, i called my daughter crying and i conbelieve it. they send you the information sheet about the diseases and how it's not curable and i'm thinking oh my god. >> the notices when out after the arrest of a former pharmacist. on drug tampering charges. authorities say that he was stealing morphine and replacing it with saline. and investigators don't know if any of it came in contact with mcleash's blood.

officers at a center city nightclub. mary lynch was sentenced to prison for steals 7$700,000 fro the district attorney's office. lynch was the financial administrator for the office and prosecutors say she spent the money on concert tickets and sporting events, facebook photos showing her at the events helped to convict her. a pothole that wreaked havoc for cars driving on i-95 northbound was patched up today. chopper 6 hd was over the scene at girard avenue in the port richmond section of philadelphia, as workers repaired the hole for the second time this month. it opened up again during last night's heavy rain and 13 cars were damaged after driving into the hole, after tomorrow's rush hour this section of the highway will be shut down, some workers can lay concrete for a more permanent fix. police are looking for the person that drove a car into a

officials in cape may county are looking into what sparked a fire at a marina. the blaze destroyed seven boats in sea isle city. some of the boats had fuel on board and that accelerated the fire. nobody was hurt. philadelphia police commissioner, richard ross visits with students at andrew morris school today. the commissioner told them about his job and answered questions about how he rose to the top of the department and what he enjoys the most about being a police officer. his answer to that was helping people. new at 6:00 tonight, high

few snowflakes really between reading and pottstown and crossing route 100 in easton, not causing problems on the road it's all melting but this is a cold front but doesn't have a lot of moisture but plenty of cold air and cold winds. this is a sign that there are brighter days ahead. kelly posted this this morning, a rainbow over looking 42 in new jersey. well see the return of bright sunshine tomorrow but it comes with a cost of cold winds. 42 in philadelphia and allentown 38 and wildwood 43 and trenton 39 and wilmington 40, it's quite gusty right now winds from the southwest, wind gusts 25 to 37 miles per hour and what will happen tonight the winds will shift to the northwest and that pulls down the colder air. satellite 6 along with action radar showing that squall line has left the region and now a

second one pulling through right now. this is what has the cold air in place. tonight an evening shower or sprinkle, and not a big deal, becoming partly cloudy and brisk and colder, 32 in philadelphia and 29 in allentown and cape may. tomorrow bright sunshine and that is the good news. it's chilly with a high of 41 and factor in the wind gusts at 30 miles per hour and windchills through the day won't climb out of the upper 20s and you may want to take the sunglasses and the winter coats and as we head into saturday it's seasonably cool with a high of 45 and plenty of sunshine again and winds diminish and feeling better than friday and big changes as we head into the second half of the weekend and the warm front lifts to the north and pulls winds from the southwest and that means temperatures back up into the low 60s and it looks like we'll stay that way on monday ahead of that cold front that could bring us a sprinkle or two.

the second half of the weekend feels like spring. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, sunshine is back tomorrow finally but the high only 41 degrees, you factor in the wind gusts, 35 to 45 miles per hour and windchills start in the teens and low 20s and only climb into the upper 20s. definitely dress for winter, saturday a good amount of sunshine and seasonably cool with a high of 45 degrees, not as windy as friday. all in all not bad for late february and 62 degrees on sunday and mostly sunny skies and monday we match that 62 and bring in the clouds and perhaps a sprinkle with that cold front and behind that front xlit slightly cooler air and it looks like the next rainy day is wednesday with a high of 55 and behind the system on thursday it turns cooler with a high of 48 degrees.
