the mother, 2, 4, and 7-year-old live in the apartment in germantown. the children's grandmother is thankful that a carbon monoxide detecter went off. thank god. this would would have been unbelievable. the grandmom tells us the family just moved into that unit. the mom and kids moved in earlier in the week. they are being treated at einstein medical center. the 15-year-old boy is suspected of being stabbed multiple times in south philadelphia. police got a report of altercation between teenagers. the victim was taken to jefferson university hospital to be treated. right now philadelphia police are looking for a group of teens who have allegedly beat you mean and robbed at least two students at roman catholic high school. chad perdelli has more on the investigation. jimmy falon's eye is swollen and bloodied.

he was a concussion after a group of teens jumped him in front of the mooch -- make munil services building at jfk and broad. it makes you scared because ten minutes before i'm telling him i love him and i get a phone call and tell him that he was beaten up and crying. >> reporter: he was walking to the train station when he was attacked. they rolled me over and they kept kicking me, they took my phone. >> reporter: the phone was tracked to west philadelphia, but at this point police have to suspects. tuesday the philadelphia school district, police septa and others met to find ways to curb the problem of students converging on center city after school and committing crimes.

>> reporter: welcome back everyone, 7:24 saturday morning, another nice day around the delaware valley. breezy, chilly, highs in the mid 40s, you'll see sunshine out there. the feels like temperature will hover afternoon 39 to 42 somewhere in that vicinity. not a bad day. the pattern turns active next week. we're watching a couple of storm signals, north of the line is cold, south of the line is warm. there's philadelphia right there. this will track like this up west of philadelphia. this is a south wind all mild, pretty much rain. there could thunderstorms, you'll see an afternoon with winds gusting 40 to 45 miles per hour maybe stronger. right now it doesn't look like there will be much in the way of severe weather. that could change, but that's the way it looks right now. the second system we're watching for friday, that could track

arrested an alleged church burglary, police caught the man inside the church, "action news" reporter, jeff chirico with the details. >> reporter: while many come to pray in it, many say william sides was preying on our lady of calvary. it is believed he struck the church two times before. the officers tackled him to the ground. the thefts from the poor boxes that began weeks earlier sadden the parishners. whatever they get to give to the poor people. i plan on being there every night until we got him. >> reporter: after an unsuccessful night police returned for a second one. they were sitting in the dark in this front pew when the suspect came in the fronts doors. we ducked down behind the

charged him with statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors. he was in jail on identity theft and other offenses. investigators say he was involved in a relationship with a 15-year-old student in 2014 while enrolled at harrisburg high. he enrolled under the name of asher potts after his work visa expired. investigators say it may take time before they know what caused a popular restaurants to go up in flames. fire destroyed the chinese japanese house of jin restaurant in germantown. the flames flairld back -- flard back up last night but were quick live put out. there's a video showing an unsuccessful take off at philadelphia international airport. federal investigators believe pilot error was the cause of the

landing. you can see the flags blowing in the winds. it will make it feel chilly today. temperatures are milder today, yesterday we were 40, 41. today we're 46. we get milder sunday, monday and tuesday. it will feel like spring starting tomorrow. 46 degrees is where we'll top out later on. the 47 is the normal. the average is 30 degrees. february has not been that bad minus the polar vortex week. week one, nice and warm. week two, here comes the vortex. windchills below zero. this was a nasty week. the good news we didn't see much snow with it. from that point on, the cold stuff retreated north up into canada. most of the time the temperatures have been above average. it has not been that bad of a month. january was colder, everyone remembers decembers, december was a blow torch around here,

10 1/2 degrees above average which is a record for that month. saint david, 24. bridgeton, 25. hammonton, 26. ewing 26 degrees. all these temperatures subtract a good three or four degrees with the winds and that's what it feels like out there. the good news we'll have wall-to-wall sunshine from start to finish up and down the entire eastern steashed. you easternd. you have to go to the pittsburgh and to the west to get the cloudiness. winds are blowing west to east, there's nothing going on. west to east winds locks the cold stuff up here across the hudson bay. temperatures are in the 30s and 40s, everybody in the west climbs into the 60s and 70s.

that charges east and hits the eastern seaboard by tomorrow. future tracker 6 mostly sunny skies, a few high, thin clouds, tomorrow, the same thing. monday this front could bring a quick-hitting shower north and west of philadelphia. first thing monday morning, most of us stay dry, even if you pick up the shower it's not going to amount to all that much. outside that the next chance would be wednesday. that's a stronger storm that would be this one right here, it would cut west of philadelphia. it's a warmer storm and it could bring rain and thunderstorm to the area. it's friday's system that's making it more interesting. there's two storms developing across the high plains. the first track is wednesday, again, that travels to the west during the afternoon. that means winds will be out of the south. it's a warm storm, rain, thunderstorms. the second one develops friday this track brings it farther to the south that will bring the cold air in from the north. this could be a mixture of rain

34 degrees outside. seems to have warmed up a bit. in "healthcheck," zika virus virus has affect pregnant women in the u.s. one of the women gave birth to a baby with a rare birth defect. cdc officials yesterday issued a caution to those who plan to attend the olympics in rio this summer. meantime this year's flu vaccine is one of the most effective for this year. the vaccine reduces the chances of getting the flu by 60%. by comparison last season's vaccine only reduced the risk by 20%. it's still not too late to get a flu shot if you have not been vaccinated. this morning there's a warning for parents who have a
