seaboard. high pressure rushes on by off the virginia cames. 58 degrees, breezy, but, again, the winds are out of the southwest that's warming us up. sunny conditions, breezy and warm, high temperatures topping out somewhere between 60 and 62 degrees. when i come back in just a few minutes i'll tell you how long the spring-like weather lasts. we have showers chances in the seven-day forecast. some that could mix with snow by week's end. nydia. philadelphia police are trying to determine if two early morning convenience store robberies are the work of the same man. the action cam was outside a wawa on cast tore avenue. a man with a crow bar entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes. the action was on the scene where police arrested the suspect in the wawa robbery after running after him. officers say a wawa clerk

identified the suspect. take a look at the 7-eleven in the rhawnhurst section of city, also held up by a man with a crow bar. nobody was injured, but a police officer suffered a knee injury running after the suspect before the man was arrested. a violent home invasion overnight left a man hospitalized. police say two men in hoods tied aman up and hit him over the head several times. the victim got free and called 911. virginia police officers are mourning the loss of one of their own. ashley guindon was sworn into duty friday. she and two others and civilian were shot after a dispute sparked gunfire. officer ashley guindon and the civilian were both killed.

100 police vehicles lined up outside the hospital paying honor and respect to the fallen officer. police have the suspect in custody that person faces possible capitol murder charges. an applies is to blame for a fire at a home in south philadelphia. the resident had to be treated for smoke around midnight. the resident was treated on the scene and not taken to the hospital. police are looking for the person who was shot and killed in newark. shots rang out at the prides court apartments last night. he was taken to christiana hospital where he died a short time later. no arrests in the stabbing of a woman in the septa transit elevator. police released the pictures of the man they were looking for since yesterday morning. police say he tried to rob a woman at the huntington station of the market frankford el in

ken's lg ton. he stabbed her in the shoulder and the knee. if you recognize the man call police. a grays ferry man escaped with minor injuries after his home suddenly collapsed with him inside. the wall crumbled on the 1400 block of patton street yesterday. especially trained firefighters had to rescue the 39-year-old man from the huge pile of debris. he was taken to presbyterian hospital in stable condition. l.and i say there were no prior conditions at the home. funeral services will be held for the former miss new jersey who died in an accident. kara mccullum will be laid to rest in other home state of arkansas. the miss new jersey foundation will host a service at the ocean city tabernacle in march.

everyone, 9:23 sunday morning, hello syringe! hello!! mostly sunny, out there feeling like april out there. later this week we're watching two systems, the first one arrives wednesday. i was explaining this yesterday, north of the line, north of the storm track it's cold, south of the storm track it's warm. here's philadelphia, this storm is cut west of philadelphia. this is an all-south wind, mild temperatures, we're going to get a period of showers. wednesday does not appear to be that big of a deal. there could be a thunderstorm, but not severe weather. the next storm is more complicated and arrives on friday. we're south of the storm track, but there's a lot of cold there. the difference this time there's a strong canadian high pressure

the shorepoints are getting close to 50. satellite and radar, we'll keep the skies bright and sunny this afternoon. cloud cover stays to the north as the system quickly passes through new england later on. for us we're looking at sunny conditions, breezy and warm. high temperatures around 62 degrees when all is said and done. 11:00 a.m. temperature, 354. 1:00 p.m., 58. 3:00 p.m., 60. 3:00 p.m., 59. somewhere in between the two we'll top out at 62 degrees. snow cover look at the tremendous difference from this year versus last year. february 28, 2016 only 14% of the country is covered in snow. last february it was a much different story, 65% of the county was covered in snow. we were 1 degrees below seasonal averages which was a record for the city of philadelphia and almost the entire new england states from the areas from the mason dixon line north. each and every state said

the man was arrested. a west philadelphia apartment was the scene of a violent home invasion overnights. three men dressed in dark hoods broke into the apartment and tied the man you mean and hit him -- tied the man up and hit him over the head he broke free and called 911. officers in virginia are mourning the loss of one of their own. it is particularly difficult because it was her first day on the job. ashley guindon was shot after domestic dispute sparked gunfire. the civilian and ashley guindon were killed. 100 police officers lined up outside the hospital paying respect to the fallen officer. police have a suspect in custody, that person is expected to appear in court tomorrow and faces possible capitol murder
