hillary clinton trying to show that she is the inevitable candidate. and while she may not be quite there, she hit gold in the south tonight. tuesday night, the big story on "action news" tonight is just about what was expected. candidates named trump and clinton dominated the super tuesday landscape. hillary clinton told supporters in florida tonight that it's not a matter of making america great again, because she said america has always been great. bernie sanders, enjoying his victory in the home state of vermont and also oklahoma. and with chris christie at his side, donald trump talked about the coming weeks, and talking about taxes on the middle class and business. and ted cruz defeated trump in his home state of texas, and oklahoma huge wins for cruz. and marco rubio had no wins

licensed to carry turned the tables on two men who attacked him and shot them both. this happened at second and b e banebridge. the suspects started to accost the man and his wife. >> the verbal altercation turned into a physical altercation where the two shooting victims, before they were shot, they started to assault the individual that later shot them. they were punching him and caused bruising to his face. >> the suspects are 20 and 21. one was shot in the neck, the other in the stomach. they are both treated at jefferson university hospital. the d.a. will now decide whether the victim acted in self-defense. it was a police chase that began on route 202 and ended on the schuylkill expressway. when it was finally over, seven men were in police custody, including one who tried to escape by diving into the schuylkill river. alletto live, and it turns out the seven suspects were on police radar before today. >> that's right. sources tell "action news" police have been tracking the gang after two of its members were arrested last week in montgomery township. you flash forward to today, two firefighters noticed them altering license plates in a parking lot. and video of them coming out of the s.u.v. it started in a parking lot. >> the guy came out of the car and they had to take the girl out of the car and they put them in handcuffs. >> police were responding to a group of people reportedly altering license plates. while the police arrested three suspects on the spot, maria mills watched the traffic stop accelerate into a pursuitment -- pursuit.

>> what was going on in your mind at that time? >> what the heck is going on. >> the black s.u.v. fled as they were arriving. and it rams into one that tried to block them and proceeded on to northbound. >> on the schuylkill at times over 100 miles an hour and ramming into a state police cruiser. police say all seven suspects are members of the felony lane gang, although from different cities up and down the i-95 corridor. the crime network is notorious for stealing purses and wallets in unattended vehicles. the reach so extensive there is a national task force focused on shutting them down. >> they had a number of items in the car. mostly with various thefts and identity thefts, driver's license and things like that. >> the police believe they foiled what could have been a robbery in the making. >> the fact that two cars, probably the getaway car that was rented out of state and well overdue, the rental period.

we had the opportunity to talk with the professor from villanova university. professor, you have declared or are you ready to declare donald trump the presumpive nominee? >> not quite yet but i would say he has a commanding position in the race. >> what does he have to be the presumpive nominee? >> we have to look at the delegate count. he has to get enough to win the nomination outright at the republican convention. right now it looks as though everybody else in the race has reason to stay in at least for another round, so as long as other candidates are accumulating delegates there is a possibility he won't cross the finish line before the convention. >> if he doesn't cross the finish line before the convention we have a divided convention, brokered convention a lot of terms to use for it. what happens if trump goes to cleveland where the convention will be held without a majority

of delegates? >> the term i think i would use is chaos. i don't think we have precedence for that. there was once upon a time a situation with power brokers where party leaders could control enough delegates to broker deals among them, but we really don't have that anymore. so it really would remain to be seen how it would play out. but i think it would be very difficult for those who would like to stop donald trump if you were go to the convention with the majority of delegates or the plurality of delegates not enough to win, but having won more states than anyone else it is difficult to deny him the news. >> we have news, the state of minnesota just declared for marco rubio. does this mean he hangs on a little longer? >> i think he was going to hang on anyway until florida, a couple of weeks away in his home state, but i think he has to win florida to justify continuing. >> thank you so much. voters in the tri-state area

to find a buyer for the certificate. 12 years later still waiting for the refund. >> i think it is an excessive amount of time to wait to have your money returned to you. >> it turns out, according to the club's bylaws the swim club is not legally bound to give her the refund. while the swim club president says they will do their best to re-i reimburse them they don't have the money. and last year they needed repair work to stay open. the good news, since troubleshooter got involved they offered them to swim off the bond. that means they can enjoy club membership for one season at no cost. it is a cautionary tale when joining a swim club or any

country club. if you have to buy a bond or certificate maybe sure they have to refund it when you withdraw membership. and request a timeframe for the refund in writing, and investigate their financial situation to see if a refund would even be possible. circumstances can change, you certainly want to be especially hesitant before signing up for a club that is already under water so to speak. >> thank you. and more super tuesday news. abc news projected that hillary clinton will win massachusetts. that is a state that bernie sanders thought he might be able to win with good reason, clinton win it is with just 51% of the vote to 48% for bernie sanders. that is clinton's seventh state of the night. super tuesday. in just minutes astronaut scott kelly expected to return home after a year in space. earlier today the hatch closed on the russian capsule which is carrying him back to earth. once he returns, that's when the testing begins.

very mild tonight. but the winds are shifting behind the cold front. satellite 6 and action radar showing this band of rain ahead of the front. and this is what sweeps through in the overnight hours. futuretracker showing 1:00 this is when we will see more of the showers breaking out across the northwest suburbs. the main band of rain moving through around 3:30. don't be surprised if you hear thunder and gusty wind. and then it moves offshore and clouds out of here by then. the return of sunshine, but you will see a difference in the air. the high 47 degrees, but with the low pressure to the northeast, high pressure to the southwest, we get the wind tunnel effect. winds gusting up to about 40 miles per hour. that 47 feeling closer to 32 degrees. and thursday, the weak high pressure moving offshore and clouds thicken heading through the day. 39 the high, and snow arriving at night, really into friday morning.

sanders. he wins minnesota tonight, and so sanders has a good deal to crow about. he wins four states tonight. vermont, oklahoma, colorado and minnesota. and hillary clinton wins seven states plus american samoa. and a big win today for sam bradford if you want to call a $36 million two-year contract a win. >> i would take that. that's a big victory right there. successful negotiation occurs when both sides are satisfied. and the eagles get bradford without a long-term contract and bradford a lot of money. and the deal reported worth $36 million and $26 million in guaranteed money. and he could have tested the free agent market next week but it is said to be flat. and the eagles say there is nothing better out there. and if you feel you are denied one of your inalienable
