carbon monoxide. they arrived to find several small fires burning. there are no evacuations or injuries stay with "action news" and 6abc.com for the latest information. 9:02 a.m., philadelphia police officer escaped injuries after two men shot at his car. whichjeff chirico has the story. >> reporter: chopper 6 is over a 5600 block of hedge street as they investigate a shooting at a police car. officers investigating a narcotics investigation heard shots fired and went to check on it out. one officer was operating an unrked car 5300 hedge street. >> reporter: officers chased after the men on foot nabbing

two including the two suspected gunman. it's extremely brazen for one individual possibly more than one individual to fire shots at a car. >> reporter: police combed the area for one or two other men and the gun. chief inspector small said nobody was hurt because the officer who was fired upon kept calm. the officer used his head, took his time and still ended up making two arrests without using deadly force. >> reporter: the initial gunfire that drew police's attention happened yards from here. they found ten spent shell casings from a large caliber handgun, is a shots fired in all, nobody was hurt. jeff chirico channel 6 "action news." chester, 3 conostoga high school players are charged with assault. as part of a hazing ritual, they violated a freshman teammate

with the broom handy in the locker room. three suspects are -- or three students are charged as juveniles. new information to tell you about this morning, four people are recovering after an accident on the vine street expressway. the car hit a wall and rolled over in the eastbound lanes near 23rd street. the people are in stable condition at the hospital. the wreckage has been cleared. police have not said what caused the crash. also new from overnight, investigators are now trying to figure out what started a row home fire in hunting park. this all started on the second floor of a vacant home right near front street after midnight. firefighters saved neighboring homes from any damage. a woman is injured after being hit by a car in south philadelphia. chopper 6 was over the scene at 8th and wharton street.

the woman crashed into the two parked cars after a seizure. the driver is okay. a man was shot and killed in wilmington around 9:30 on the 1200 block of west 7th street. police say the victim was hit several times. he died at the scene. so far no arrests have been made. this morning the oj simply son case is back -- simple simpson case is back in the spotlight. lapd found a life where he was living when his ex-wife and friend were brultsly -- brutally murdered. >> reporter: the oj simpson trial was settle the decades ago, but a new twist. the alleged knife recovered possibly connected to the simpson case. >> reporter: the knife was found by a construction worker in the late 1990s.

flow across the lower 48. that means temperatures will moderate over the next several days. let's look at future tracker 6 increasing clouds today, it's a quiet afternoon, seasonable temperatures, highs around 45 or 46. this is 11:00 p.m., mainly cloudy skies, temperatures dropping into the low to mid 30s we're dry at that point. after midnight snow showers start developing, maybe a brief period of light snow, yes, there is the expectation of a minor accumulation west of the i-95 corridor. mainly on grassy surfaces, perhaps a coating or more. it's not that big of a deal. a coating is all it takes to make things slip. as we get into the early morning hours, the system works out to sea and the sun begins to shine and the temperatures go back into up the 40s. there's hours between 4:00 a.m.

i believe it's southwest of cleveland. you can see snow showers to the north, rain showers to the south. this raggedy system is responsible for producing those snow showers overnight. here it comes, 6:00 p.m., you can see the clouds overspreading the area. moisture is back to the west, west of the mountains. it will get in here 3:00 a.m., 4 a.m., 5:00 a.m. it will work off the coast by 9 or 10:00 a.m. temperatures dropping back down close to freezing, the clouds increase. this model just updated. it shows a couple of snow showers broken up in nature. this is not going to be that big of a deal. the only reason i'm putting as much emphasis on as i am, with temperatures dropping back down to freezing, even a coating could make things slick. keep your guard up west of the i-95 corridor.
