bloomquist is off and in the news, an investigation is underway after five people were shot in trenton, new jersey, and mourners are gathering to say good-bye to former first lady, nancy reagan, and time is run ougt to avoid a popular new jersey transit strike. but could both sides reach a compromise today. and the big story is a police investigation into a septa bus stop. witnesses watched as a woman was forced into a car and now the woman says she was not abducted. katherine scott is following the story all morning long and is live now at northeast detectives with the very latest. >> reporter: rick, and what actually did happen overnight on that septa bus remains under investigation, police say that a woman came to northeast detectives, she told them she was the woman in question but was not abducted as reported.

>> police poured over video from septa bus station, septa told police that the woman boarded the bus at 1:45 this morning. the driver was on roosevelt boulevard when he noticed a silver car following him trying to get him to pull over. while stopped at a red light, police say that the man got out of his car and punched the glass smashing it and shouted at the woman to get off the bus but when the light changed it kept going. witnesses said it appeared he knew the woman. >> she said he is crazy but never said his name. >> when the bus pulled over the woman asked to get out and he met her at the front door and when the doors open police say that the man pulled her off the bus and punched her twice in the head and dragged her to the

vehicle and threw her by her pants in the backseat. the car had delaware tags but when they were ran nothing came up. she came to police this morning to tell them she was in fact not abducted. but riders were shocked hear how bold this man was. >> it's surprising, septa is a public place. for someone to atonight to do that. >> reporter: even if it turns out that the woman was not abducted he can face charges including assault and this remains under investigation and it's unclear if police have anyone in custody. >> thank you katherine. in other news, police are investigating after a body was found inside a vehicle at crozier medical center. we are told that the hospital is operating normally as the investigation continues. five people are recovering after police say an argument led

to gun fire, the situation happened on oliver avenue in trenton, a number of people gathered outside as a group of women were arguing and then a dark colored sedan pulled up and a man got out and fired with a semi automatic weapon. the man got back in the car and fired and then sped off. all five victims are expected to recover. on the weather front cooler temperatures are back for your friday after several days of record breaking warmth, as we look live at the jersey shore a pretty picture from cape may, meteorologist, melissa magee, is at the big board. not a bad weekend overall. >> reporter: it's not rick, yesterday we had a high of 82 in philadelphia, well above the norm but now numbers are still above average, keep in mind that average this time of year is 51 in philadelphia. 56 in allentown and 53 up in the poconos and along the coast in

cape may 55, and upper 60s in beach haven. look at the 24 temperature training with the northerly wind moving on through, it's 13 degrees cooler in philadelphia than yesterday, and 19 degrees cooler for the poconos and allentown and beach haven, 14 degrees cooler than just 24 hours ago. here is satellite 6 along with action radar we have a frontal boundary that moved through and it triggered a couple of showers and all of that moisture is pushing offshore and with the northwesterly winds we'll scour out the cloud cover through the afternoon and a few breaks of sunshine on the way. for the afternoon and evening commute, 4:00 the mostly cloudy and a couple of breaks of sun at 64 and down to 62 at 5:00 this evening, and 61 at 6:00 p.m. and mostly clear and dropping down to 58 at 8:00 p.m. it's cooler but still a good 15 degrees above average by day's
