spray after a donald trump rally turns rowdiy. the search -- rowdy, the search continues for a man who stabbed a man to death in rittenhouse square. police say the man was out with friends. trish hartman has more on the latest attack and residents on high alert. police are looking for a black man 5'8" with a medium build and blue devils hat. a man who fits that description is responsible for the deadly stabbing that happened early this morning. the group of friends was walking in rittenhouse square at 3:00 a.m. after a brief altercation, the man pulled out a knife and stabbed the 4-year-old victim in the stomach. we spoke with a bye standards who put pressure on the wounds trying to keep him calm.

i try to help him keep breathing and talk to him a little bit, let him know that the ambulance was coming they are coming to help you. >> reporter: the victim was pronounced dead at hanheman, university hospital. in the daylight, people walked dogs and made their way for breakfast. we walk through here all the time, everybody is friendly, to hear that happen it's wild. scary, especially working here and having clients here, and it's unexpected especially with no motive. >> reporter: police agree this crime is unusual for rittenhouse. it was all captured by several surveillance cameras. we're looking at video foot annual there are many cameras in the area. we have a lot of video footage. >> reporter: police say immediately after the stabbing the suspect fled down 19th and east on manning street. fuf any information built -- if you have any information about the crime contact detectives.

shot of very warm weather heading this way. we could have another day where we are up to 74, 75 degrees, i'll let you know when it arrives when i see you in just a few minutes. the mayor of chester speaking out after a police captain was shot in the line of duty. dramatic video obtained exclusively by "action news" shows the incident at the intersection of parker and young street. investigators say police stopped the car because it was believed to have been stolen. in the video you can hear police yell repeatedly for the suspects to get out of the car. the captain in the white shirt approaches and a shot is fired out the window. officers returned fire killing one person inside that car. hours later community members gathered at the scene and there was a scuffle. many say they believe the police started shooting first. this morning the mayor vowed that the city will be transparent and honest in its investigation. that we, when i say we,

a floor while battling this house fire. the crews arrived on the scene to find flames shooting from the first floor of the home. two people managed to escape the fire, but it is believed two dogs died. firefighter was taken to the hospital for a leg injury. no word on what sparked the blaze. there's information about the death of a new jersey state trooper, the crash that sean cullen was investigating involved a popular basketball from south jersey. police say 33-year-old man dejuan wagner was driving the car that was rear ended in west deptford. sean cullen was hit and killed by another car after responding to the first basketball scene. wagner was drafted in 2002 by the cleveland calf -- cavaliers, he was sidelined by an injury a

pilot's bag and the bag had a gun inside it. the bag was left inside a restroom. officials found it two hours later inside a supply closet they say the pilot was authorized to carry the gun. the january tore is facing -- janitor is facing several charges including theft. we're learning about the co-pilot who crashed a plane into the french alps. a new report was released today into the germanwings flight, the co-pilot was using antidepressants at the time. a doctor referred him to a psychiatric clinic two weeks before the crash. the report calls for new rules that requires medical professionals to warn authorities when a pilot's mental health could threaten public safety.

120 people died in that crash. police arrested a 26-year-old man and charged him with crashing his snow mobile into two iditarod mushers or racers. he drove his snow mobile at a high rate of speed on purpose into the two dog teams led by a four time iditarod winner. it killed a dog and injured two others. residents say he is determined to stay in the race. he is an amazing guy just so sorry this had to happen to him and he is going to keep on pushing he said. king told reporters he felt the crash was intentional. they were not hurt. man: my kids have taught me how to live in the now.

>> reporter: pablo picasso was one of history's most well-known artist. but the barnes foundation takes a look into his legendary works of art. it's called picasso the great war, experimentation and great change examines his work around the time of world war i. he works this a fragmented form and all of a sudden he work florida a classical mode where forms are readable and elegant. >> reporter: the exhibit features 50 works created from 1912 to 1924. they show how the artist was experimenting and fluctuating between styles. picasso never addresses the war as a subject in his art. you never see soldiers or violence. >> reporter: pieces include oil paintings water colors and photographs and ballet costumes he designed.
