people to the hospital. sunday night, the big story on "action news" is the investigation into those two stabbings in philadelphia, in both cases, a suspect is in custody. >> it started with the fatal stabbing at 3:00 this morning on rittenhouse square. this evening, two young men were stabbed near corner of have the broad and arch. "action news" reporter jeff chirico is live outside hahnemann hospital where those victims are being treated tonight, jeff? >> reporter: walter, police say victims in the attack will be okay. they were apparently buying drugs from the suspect when things went bad. >> and that guy came out swinging with his knife. >> reporter: witnesses described what they saw just after 6:00 p.m. when a man slashed at least two young men at the broad and arch streets. >> one kid, in his hand and one kid in his mouth. like a slash right here, his lip. nose was like slashed off. right in the mouth, dude. >> came from no where. >> reporter: this man watched as victim then turned the table on the attacker.

>> they got him on the ground and started kicking him. they were all kicking him, you know, i thought they were jumping a homeless guy. >> reporter: police arrested the suspect and called it a drug deal gone bad. witnesses say 18 and 21 year-old victims were part of the group that appeared to be celebrating st. patrick's day. >> all dressed in green, you know, they were out here drinking. you can tell alcohol. >> reporter: earl they're morning a 24 year-old also celebrating the holiday with friend was stabbed and killed in rittenhouse square. the apparent random attack shocks residents of this seemingly safe neighborhood. >> it could happen to anyone, anywhere. that was the history. that is what is scary to me. >> reporter: sources tell "action news" that the police have a suspect in custody, a homeless disabled veteran who is being treated at va. >> you think you are in a safe neighborhood and out here especially and it is definitely teaches you a lesson. >> reporter: police have have not released names of the victims or suspects in either attack, however, young man who

died at rittenhouse square this morning is from bucks county. we are live a at hahnemann, jeff chirico for channel six "action news". >> we are hearing more tonight from the family of the teenager who was gunned down on a porch in west philadelphia the 18 year-old victim was shot at 11:30 last night on the 300 block of north southford street. she died at the hospital a half an hour later. "action news" reporter christie ileto joins us live from police headquarters with more on the victim, christie? >> reporter: walter, family members say her name is nijay seely, she was not the intended target and now her family is struggling to make sense of the gun violence that took her life. >> they killed my baby. >> reporter: that is the sound of the moth ther who has lost her child. family members say nijay seely is late is city victim to gun violence. >> they killed my baby girl. >> i don't know what to say. >> one shot in the chest. >> she was supposed to go to the party but either way she

detectives. the reporting live from city police headquarters, christie ileto for channel six "action news". >> christie, thank you. we are following developing news out of suburban washington d.c. a police officer was fatally shot the in an unprovoked attack near a police station. it happened around 4:30 in heightsville, maryland 8 miles east of the nation's capitol. the officer, identified as jicai colson was one of two people shot where he was born in boothwyn, delaware county a and went to chichester high school. he was a four year veteran of the force and would have turned 29 this week. two suspects have been taken in custody. what led up to the shooting is still unclear. a man has been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting in delaware county. jermaine crossly, shot and killed a man yesterday a afternoon along 500 block of timberlake road in upper darby. police say crossly had been staying with the victim prior to the shooting. the up investigators have not released any details about a possible motive or rick tim's

identity. mayor of the chester is calling for calm after a police captain was shot in the line of duty. this video obtained exclusively by "action news", shows the yesterday's deadly shoot-out. according to police someone inside a car shot at officers. the captain was hit in the arm and torso, police returned fire. one person inside of the car was killed, and hours later a a fight broke out at the scene. community members insisting that police fired first. today's chester's mayor promises transparent, and honest investigation. >> that we, and when i say we, i mean this mayor, council, law enforcement team wants to see a truthful outcome with all of the information, gathered. >> captain alan davis remains in the hospital tonight in serious condition. one suspect was also in the the hospital, and another is being held, in police custody. police in west goshen are investigating a brawl that broke out in an ice rink in west chester. viewer sent thus video,

we're fog developing news out of turkey tonight and an attack in the country's capitol killed at least 30 people and injured more than 100 others. the tonight turkey's president has vowed to quote bring terrorism to the knees. a car bomb went off tonight near a bus stop and officials believe, that they designed to target civilians. police say kurdish militant carried out suicide attack and say one of the bombers was a woman. it was also a a terror attack to the beach resort town in the nation of ivory coast. group linked to al qaeda has claimed responsibility. fourteen civilians and two soldiers were killed and six a assailants were killed after they entered three hotels shooting at random. u.s. embassy says it has no evidence that any u.s. citizens were targeted or harmed. this is the third attack, now popular tourist locations in the west african nation since november. turning now to the race for the white house, we're

just a moment but first across philadelphia and immediate suburbs you can see light rain showers along that i-95 corridor through jenkintown, norristown, lansdale, green lane, and pottstown as well but now we will focus down to the south, across south jersey and millville, along route 47, traveling southbound, in cape may, also to the west, and fortecue. we are also dealing with moisture for smyrna, route 300 down into dover and unless to milford. so we're tracking this batch that moves through overnight, and as you wake up tomorrow morning there will be some steady, if not moderate pockets of moisture overhead. we will show you the picture outside action cam was outside earlier tonight there in olde city. we have a couple of rain drops overhead, some light rain, in that picture when that was shot and when it was taken but it the looks like moisture will pick up in intensity throughout the overnight the hours. now despite the cloud and the moisture was a mild day. we had a high in philadelphia of 62 degrees. well a above the normal of 52 for this time of the year.

currently at this hour it is 49. dew point the at 40. air is nice and saturated. the east northeasterly wind at 8 miles an hour this east northeasterly wind will be key as we go throughout the rest of the day on monday. when you factor in those wind coming off the atlantic it makes it feel hike a wind chill of 45. we have a raw feel to the day, come tomorrow. at this hour, it is 48 in dover. forty-nine in the poconos. fifty for allentown, lehigh valley. fifty-one in reading. you can see stiff wind coming off the atlantic and this is going to be a major player throughout the day on monday adding to the moisture mountain air. here's satellite six with action radar. what we are tracking is an area of low pressure over illinois and indiana. you can see that is where you'll fine center of the the storm. this will ride off to the north and is there a frontal boundary draped across mid-atlantic region. we are tracking this moisture coming out of delaware that will pull north ward throughout the rest of the overnight hours. we will get moisture off the atlantic adding to the the
