sunday the picture will likely change as we'll be track something rain, some mixed precipitation and some wet snow across its delaware and lehigh valleys. officially our high today on this friday climbing up to 64, so well above average. right now 63 in the city, 49 in the poconos, 60's for reading and lancaster. cape may can coming in at 56. here's satellite6 along with action radar. we have a frontal boundary draped to our north and because of that we do have a fair amount of cloud cover overhead and a spotty shower from time to time as well. this front will dip to our south and east as we go throughout the rest of tonight and that will help to establish some cold air just in time for the arrival of this snow for the first day of spring. so the call from accuweather for the rest of tonight turning clear brisk and colder, 38 in philadelphia for the overnight low. we'll drop down to 28 degrees in the suburbs with that northerly wind as that high pressure sinks southward across the region. all eyes on our system that we're tracking as we get into the weekend. a very weak and unorganized

area of low pressure across the southeast that this will work its way eastward. it is going to transfer its energy to a developing nor'easter and that's going to work its way into the midatlantic region as we get into sunday. so future tracker6 showing you for the start of the weekend tomorrow no issues. 9 o'clock in the morning fair amount of sunshine overhead. sun giving way to increasing clouds at 5 o'clock in the evening tomorrow. you notice a little bit of some light rain showers to the south of philadelphia. as we go throughout the day on sunday, however, it's going to take that moisture to push northward and so by noon on sunday you have that snow for philadelphia and areas to the north and west a little bit of mixed precipitation just to the south of that 95 corridor but it's rain for areas in jersey and also central delaware as well. we'll continue to go through the early half of the evening hours on sunday. you notice that snow still for the city points to the north and west. temperatures, though, are quite marginal as the bulk that of precipitation will be falling during the day light hours and then we have that rain for south jersey into tell wear and on the backside
5:54 pm
of the system as the snow tapers from a west-east direction there might be snow on the back end of this for areas south of philadelphia. so possible snowfall overall a general one to 3-inches for burlington gloucester camden counties for that 95 corridor points to the north and west and then as i mentioned on the back sides of the storm system as it pulls away perhaps a coating to an inch for areas in south jersey and central delaware. something to keep in mind as we get into the weekend and some key take away points is that the bulk of this precipitation, the bulk of the snow will be falling during the day so there will be a lot of melting going on and this will mainly take place on the grassy surfaces. temperatures for the most part will be above freezing. minimal travel impacts and because the snow is coming during the day and we're speeding up the arrival of the snow, the snow looks to be on the smaller side. not heavy accumulations. we're not tracking that this time. the accuweather forecast showing you sun to clouds tomorrow, high up to 48. wet snow to rain south and east and sunday a high of 38. and sunday by the way, hello
