meteorologist melissa a magee is tracking the system and joins us live from the big board with more, melissa a a. >> yeah, sarah we are tracking two pieces of energy working their way in the delaware and lehigh valleys. storm tracker six live double scan radar is showing you we have light rain falling. for bulk of the day it has been falling to the south of philadelphia right through south jersey into delaware. notice mixing going on for from wilmington and chester county, pennsylvania. initially we were thinking we were going to track one piece out the to the west and another area of low pressure that would merge and form a coast aal storm but that idea is falling apart. what we have overhead right now is a a little bit of moisture moving across the region. that will shift to the north and east throughout the early evening hours and then we're tracking an area of low pressure off the coast that will work its way to the north and east as we get in the second half of our weekend, on sunday. models are trending that this area of low pressure will move further east which will low snowfall amounts across our region even from what we were earlier today, on the air.

something else to keep in mind that temperatures ahead of the system are quite mile. the yesterday we were in the 60's. today we maxed out at 47. 39 degrees in philadelphia. forty-four in allentown. thirty-seven in dover. same thing in wilmington. even as that precipitation moves in early tonight and even for that math ther into sunday the road look to be mainly wet. we will talk about what we can expect this evening and it is light rain and some wet snow, mixing in from time to time, on sunday that wet snow along that i-95 corridor, rain showers around, rain to the south and east and then by sunday night that snow will taper off from the west to east direction. coming up we will take a closer look at the system on the way, talk about snowfall amounts and we are low across the region. that is good news for first day of spring. also these temperatures rebound quickly. details, sarah with the accu weather forecast. breaking news now from camden county, nine people have been injured in a car crash. this happened around 3:00 o'clock in the 800 block of blackwood clementon road in pine hill. from the video it appears that

two cars collided head on. we're still waiting to get specifics from authorities. no word on conditions, of those involved, all nine people were rushed to cooper university hospital, two were taken by medical helicopter. another developing story coming in the news room right now a 20 year-old man is hospitalized after falling from a second floor window in newark, delaware. the it happened around 4:30 this afternoon in the 100 block of west main street. we're told man fell about 30 feet from a second story window. he was taken to christiana hospital. no word on his condition, or why exactly this all happen. one of the philadelphia's most notorious housing projects is now just a pile of dust and debris. this morning it took just a few seconds to bring down the norman bloomberg apartments which stood for nearly 50 years. nobody is hurt. >> reporter: i'm told more than 100 students attend this child care center and academy every day. i spoke with the leaders of this school, and they say they are working to find another place, to house classes and child care, by monday morning. we are live from darby, delaware county, jeff chirico for channel six "action news", sarah a. >> jeff, thank you. animal control officers removed more than a dozen animals from a house in the cities holmesberg section this morning. they were notified after police received a tip that the 17 animals were living in filthy conditions at the house located in the 7900 block of marsden. fifteen small dogs and two cats were taken away by pspca, they will be cleaned up a and looked over by veterinarians. it is not yet clear if the home owner faces charges a a that the time. police are investigating a shooting in north philadelphia last night that left a man in critical condition. it happened around 11:00 in the 2900 block of north reese street. officers were called to the scene and found a man lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot
