keep going. let's go over to david murphy. >> reporter: go cats. storm tracker 6 live showing we did get the snow as expected. as you look around the lawns in philadelphia, nothing sticking there. over by the shore it could be a different story as much as one to two inches or more, but mostly on grassy surfaces. right now the temperatures are above the freezing mark. nonetheless we have a winter weather advisory up to 6:00 a.m., then atlantic county southern ocean county should be done with the snow. we did have a lot of the wet snow falling around philadelphia. not much sticking. 34 in wilmington, 34 in in allentown. freezing in trenton. holding numbers above freezing at the airports down in south jersey, you want to be careful in case there's a slick spot.

on the bus stop the snow is over, we might have damp roads by 6:00 a.m., 32 degrees by 6:00 a.m. 33 by 8:00 a.m. i doubt with yesterday's temperatures and recent temperatures above freezing we'll have many slick spots. but that's to watch out for. 36 degrees by 9:00 a.m. 42 by 11:00 a.m., high of 50 around 4:00 p.m. you'll be watching the roads like a hawk so far. i assume you're seeing wet conditions. >> reporter: i know there's a few spots on the ramps where you get a little bit of snow on the ramps. 42 northbound traffic hardly is he cars out and about, a couple of people on 42 near creek road heading toward the city and moving just fine at this hour. the roads are wet. we had an accident route 55 southbound at 56 that was slowing traffic down we are in

the process of clearing that out now. you should not have any problem as you head to route 55. route 1 at the pennsylvania turnpike, you can see the snow is falling you can see under the streetlight. you can see it accumulated on the grassy surfaces, but not on the roads. as reported, the roads are in good shape. be careful of the turn lanes and the ramps. not a big deal as you head out. i-95 at cottman all lanes open. the vine street expressway, westbound eastbound is moving okay. for the most part the roads are wet, tam. thank you, karen. we're following a developing story, a deadly crash that had parts of i-95 in south philadelphia closed overnight. vernon odem is live near the south street exit with the latest. good morning, vernon. >> reporter: good morning, tamala, i-95 has been reopened

after being shut down for 4 1/2 hours overnight. that's i-95 northbound. take a look at the entrance on south broad. state police had to investigate and clean up the accident scene it did leave one person dead and five others hospitalized. this was the scene after 11:00 p.m. northbound i-95 near the broad street entrance, four vehicles involved it took all that time for the investigation and the cleanup no word on whether this was weather related. those are the details we have so far. the deceased is a male. nydia, we're waiting for state police at this hour to provide more information to us, again, i-95 northbound reopened after 4 1/2 hours of shut down overnight. one person killed in a terrible accident, five others hospitalized at this hour at

jefferson hospital. live in south philadelphia, vernon odem channel 6 "action news." vern, thanks for the update. 4:05, flurries have been falling across the area most of it in south jersey, annie mccormick joins us live from hamilton township, atlantic county, how are conditions there? >> reporter: nydia as we were going over the walt whitman bridge we saw a couple of flurries, when we hit the atlantic city we started to see the snow. i'm calling it snow because it's heavy. take a look at the grass you can see where it is sticking. looks like we're in the middle of winter. just like david and karen are saying this type of snow is not sticking to the payments, not making it slick, not making too hard to go across. you'll see it along the grass and trees and signs as you head down the atlantic city

president obama's beginning is a new beginning for his native cuba. he was born in eastern cuba. his parents sent him to philadelphia when he was 16 in hopes of opportunities for their only child. he lives in philadelphia. the retired school teacher said not much has changed in the 55 years since he left. but he hopes that change will come. time will tell, regime change that hadn't worked, all the hard tactics haven't worked, maybe this will, you never know. he hopes to visit cuba with his daughter some day soon. st. joe's fought harold, but lost to the oregon ducks in the second round of the ncaa tournament. they had a 7 point lead with a 5 1/2 minutes left. a combination of foul trouble

and oregon defense shut down the hawks. 28 wins this season is the second most victory in school history. wildcats arrived back home last night after a huge win over iowa in the ncaa tournament. the guys have a lot of the to be proud of and so do their fans. this will be the first sweet 16 appearance 2009. a shout out to my owls, they came that close. anyway, storm tracker 6 live double scan shows we have light, wet snow falling over south jersey. as we go in closer you can see how it's clearing philadelphia. all we got was a trace at the airport. some suburbs with a coating on the lawn. east and south you go from philadelphia the chance you have a steadier band in lavender putting more down on grassy surfaces. in there here you could wind up

having any problems through most of the region right now. it's landing on the grassy surfaces, but not only the roads, as well. we're looking live on the roosevelt boulevard, southbound traffic light volume, wet on the boulevard, slow it down. coming in we noticed on the sides of the ramps we did get a little snowfall, be careful it could be slick on the ramps and overpasses. we had an accident that cleared on route 55 southbound at route 56. looking live at the bridge, westbound traffic coming into the city. nobody is slipping or sliding on the bridges. it's just welt, bring your speeds -- it's just wet, bring your speeds down. 42 at creek road looking good.

we have snow areas of lavender, it's coming down heavily. snowing in medford lakes, heavier band over the white horse pike and 72. hammonton catching the heavier bands, as well as mays landing. sea isle city and cape may getting a wintry mix. be careful in parts of south jersey where it's coming down heavily. a south jersey church said it's been vandalized for second time in 6 weeks. black lives matter sign has been vandalized. the church believes the vandalism is a hate crime and contacted police. a robberyct injured a

police officer after being chased down last night. the fbi is investigating a threatening letter to donald trump sister who is a federal judge in philadelphia. the 78-year-old sits on the third circuit court of appeals in philadelphia. the letter arrived after donald trump's son eric received a suspicious letter with white powder inside. on the gop trail the frontrunner said he will release a list of five to ten judges today he would nominate he if he were elected. he said he will pick judges everyone respects and admires. on the democratic side bernie sanders has been campaigning in washington state and hopes to make up ground on
