brothers. they're also looking for a man seen on fail lance video not released publicly standing on the subway platform moments before about the explosion there. those twos urgent manhunts are taking priority here. >> aaron, incredible late breaking details today. reports that brothers were tracking a nuclear scientist. what do we know about that? >> reporter: well, the two brothers ibrahim and ca lid he will bakraoui had stashed apparently in the bushes somewhere outside the scientist's home a hidden camera and took hours as many as ten hours of their own surveillance footage. it was found in an anti-terrorism raid following the paris attacks. so the authorities here in brussels had known about this footage for the last several months. the question is, what were the brothers going to do with it? it raises questions about perhaps some sinister intentions and it fuels the fear that the attacks here in brussels the other day as bad as they were may not have been all that the brothers had in mind.

>> we begin with the intense manhunt for the surviving terrorists behind the horrific attacks in belgium. >> yeah, overnight six people were arrested in brussels and police are still looking for at least two men believed to be on the loose. abc's aaron katersky has the latest right now from brussels. aaron, good morning. what do you know? >> reporter: kendis, reena, good morning to you. today, secretary of state john kerry arrives here in brussels. he'll bring offers of american assistance, the condolences of the american people for the more than 30 people killed in the attacks and u.s. information about at least some of the suspects. anti-terrorism police raided new locations in the brussels neighborhood where the attackers made their bombs. six were detained, though they're still hunting for this man in light colored clothing and a hat seen in an airport surveillance image moments before the explosions. the u.s. has identified him and said his name appears on a terror watch list. so do the names of suicide

bomber brothers ibrahim and khalid el bakraoui. security sources told abc news the two brothers filmed the top belgian nuclear scientist. hours of footage was seized following the paris attacks raising new questions about more sinister intentions. their bombs were bad enough. more than 100 blast victims remain in hospitals, half in intensive care. the bomb at the subway station caused the most carnage, and police are now looking for a man seen with the bomber on the platform holding a bag and walking away moments before the explosion. and as that manhunt continues, the last of three official days of mourning is under way now and although the crowds are not here in the main focal point for belgians an following the attacks, you can see the tokens of grief that have been left here on the pavement. kendis, reena? >> we know that belgian

officials have taken a lot of heat for possibly missing clues from all across the world. we're hearing now belgian officials are possibly offering their resignation. what do you know about that? >> reporter: two ministers offered to resign. the justice minister and the interior minister conceding there were missteps in the lead up to the attacks and perhaps some miss opportunities to surveil or track at least some of the suspects. the prime minister rejected those resignations. he said you don't leave the battlefield in the middle of a war. >> that war is ongoing right now. let's hope there aren't any missteps that they're missing at this point. >> abc's aaron katersky live in belgium. thank you so much for that report. >> should mention this. nba hall of famer dikembe mutombo was among the thousands of people caught up in the chaos as the bombs went off at brussels airport. >> the former basketball star was asleep in a passenger lounge waiting for a connecting flight back home at the time of the attack. he said he ran downstairs right

into the mayhem as everyone was trying to escape. >> i just woke up and i was like what's going on. what's going on. so i decided to run myself. it was just sad to see all of those women with babies in the morning and their children and old ladies who couldn't walk. and they didn't have nobody to push them. it was very sad. >> mutombo says two americans recognized him, took him to a safe area. they were picked up by someone from the u.s. embassy and driven to the airport in amsterdam. he calls those americans his two angels. >> the u.s. has charged seven hackers linked to the iranian government accused of cyberattacks on dozens of banks as well as a small dam outside of new york city. the attorney general characterized the attacks as relentless, systemic and widespread. none of those charged is in custody and it's not clear if they will ever be arrested. secretary of state john kerry and russian president vladimir putin have met in moscow. they agreed to use their influence with both sides to

strengthen the cease-fire in syria. they also plan to increase humanitarian aid. kerry says the terror attacks in brufs have reinforced their efforts to defeat isis. he heads to brussels today to offer his condolences. >> it's getting nasty. the battle between ted cruz and donald trump over their wives has reached a new level of nastiness. it escalated after trump retweeted an unflattering photograph of heidi cruz next to a glamour shot of men lannia trump. that brought this response from ted cruz. >> it is not acceptable for a big, loud, new york bully to attack my wife. donald, you're a sniveling coward, and leave heidi the hell alone. >> here's what the experts say. attacking heidi cruz not going to do much to improve trump's standing with women. a poll done in march showed half of all-american women had a very unfavorable view of him. >> okay. now much of south florida was swamped by heavy downpours last

night. at least four inches of rain flooded the streets of boca raton making driving nearly impossible. the pouring rain also submerged much of the baseball field at the florida atlantic university. but the nasty spring weather unleashed most of its fury further west, dumping enough snow and hail to close hundreds of miles of roads, shutting down denver's airport for a time. abc's clayton sandell is there. >> reporter: the swirling mess of spring storms is threatening the south. it's the same system that knocked texas with funnel clouds, lightning, and hail. >> it just got really loud, and then our window just bust through. >> reporter: in kansas and oklahoma, it's the wind supercharging this grass fire, exploding to nearly 400,000 acres. in colorado, a blizzard, trapping hundreds of drivers overnight. some rescued by armored police trucks. if you ever get stranded in your car, and, clearly, this one is
