shots were fired, but the ensuing chaos caused them to close the carnival early. this is the man upper darby police say committed a series of robberies in recent weeks. they arrested sultan akbar-abdullah, the 17-year-old victim said he tried to rob her when she returned home. the girl's uncle came to her aid. he suffered a stab wound while holding him for police. police say a man fired a gun into the home of his girlfriend's family while 8 relative also were inside. two bullets went through a bedroom window nobody was hurt. this happened on north 16th philadelphia in north philadelphia. the 19-year-old barricaded himself inside another home on smedley street and surrendered. federal prosecutors are reviewing the case of a co-pilot

who failed two beth lieser tests when he -- breath-alyzer tests when he showed up for his philadelphia-bound flight over the weekend. chad perdelli has the latest at philadelphia international airport. >> reporter: matt, we know little about the pilot he is from pennsylvania, but his name has not been released. this this weekend he allegedly boarded a flight ready to fly while impaired. passengers were prepared for takeoff, the pilot was not. a tsa agent smelled what he believed to be alcohol on the pilot saturday morning. i saw them actually taking the pilot around the side of the car and handcuffing him. >> reporter: detroit metropolitan airport officials say the pilot failed two breathalyzers he feels detained and taken -- he was he detained and taken to a police station. american airlines is assisting

southeastern complex in nelsonville. he was serving time for killing a woman in cleveland. officials canceled morning classes at a nearby college campus as a precaution. mystery surrounds a pipe bomb explosion in anaheim, california. nobody was hurt, but nearby homes were evacuated while a bomb squad determined the area was safe. two other pipe bombs exploded in anaheim in november and december. police say if it is unclear if this is related. police in florida are looking for ten car thieves who were caught on camera swiping several cars from the dealership lot in a matter of seconds. it happened in the early morning hours last week. they broke into the office and located the lock box with the keys and matched them to the cars on the lot. the whole theft took less than two minutes. they took the car that was parked over here and used that
