and a -- charged with murder finds a new job. and the big story is in delaware county where police are investigating a murder where the chief calls it senseless and sadistic. she was found dead in her apartment yesterday and her killer is still at large. annie mccormick is live at the upper darby police department. >> reporter: detectives say they have several lead buzz they need the public's help. this was not only a violent crime but a sadistic one and they are looking into the personal life of the victim to see if they can track down the killer. >> whoever killed her based on what we have seen at the scene it was done with a hatred and vengeance and predatory sadistic violence. >> upper darby police superintendant described a

heinous crime where reports show that markia benson was strangled and beaten to death inside of her apartment. yesterday at 4:45 p.m. a concerned co-worker and friend went to the new orleans apartments after she did not show up for work. a manager left her in and they found her i side of her apartment in the bathtub with the water running. there was no sign of forced entry and they last saw her sun morning. and texted her mother yesterday. whoever did this left behind a clear message something written on the wall. >> the alleged killer did leave a message on the wall. >> superintendant, chipwood went on to say the message was full of hatred and venom but did not

south and despite the clouds we are up to 71 in philadelphia and 68 in wilmington and 66 in trenton all of these numbers a nice rise from this morning where we started in the 50s. there is a little bit of wind, sustained at 20 miles per hour in philadelphia and more of the same is most of offer local reporting stations. when you factor in the gusts it's windier, occasionally a gust over 30 miles per hour. and we have the snapshot taken in philadelphia and wilmington and allentown a 33 miles per hour gust. and blustery and cloudy today but pretty comfortable with the mild conditions. some spots may go higher than that. that totally wipes out the normal high of 58. and low is mild 61 degrees, well above the average low of 39 degrees. tomorrow we are tracking the possibility of showers and maybe

two people will dead after crashing into a park said fighter jet of all things after crashing in california. highway patrol picked up the chase and ended when the car crashed a gate and hit an a f-18 super hornet. they are picking up the pieces in oklahoma where tornadoes touched down including one caught on camera by passengers at the tulsa airport. >> oh look at that -- it's going to hit the zoo -- >> at least seven people were

hospitalized because of the storm and police are going door-to-door searching for anyone that needs help and the storm is not over, storms and damaging wind is possible across the mississippi river valley today. a highway overpass came down crashing down on top of cars in india today and tons of concrete and steel crashed on to mid-day traffic killing at least 21 people. they are searching the wreckage for possible survivors underneath and the overpass was under construction when it collapsed . a nurse trusted to care for elderly patient is now accused of killing them. it happened at a state run hospital in tuscany, italy. they say she murdered them by giving them deadly doses of a blood thinning drug. investigators are looking for a possible motive. a suspended chicago police officer charged with first

you can see the daffodils waiving around a bit this morning. and after 10:00 or so we have seen the clouds increase a little bit. you can tell this picture was taken earlier this morning with a fair amount of blue skies and the wind has picked up as well. the temperature zoomed according to schedule and feels good despite the 20 miles per hour wind. most of you probably do without a jacket over the next couple of hours. that is around the i-95 corridor and we are in the 60s wilmington and millville and 63 in allentown and the farther north and west you go in the city a jacket is required. 66 degrees in trenton and 58 cool degrees in cape may, where the wind coming in off the ocean will keep you cooler. satellite shows you how we transition from bright blue skies and clouds and sun mix as we go into the afternoon, it looks like the rain out to the west is slow to move out to the

east and we may get a sprinkle around later in the nighttime. most of this steadier rain holds off into the overnight hours. 79 is the high in the delaware valley and sun gives way to clouds and cooler at the shore with the wind coming in off the ocean and the ocean temperature 49 degrees, it's cooler with the draw in off the atlantic. 62 is the high and not bad for this time of year. clouds on the march for at noop and winds as well. philadelphia it's mild and high of 74 and a couple of therapy meters going a tic or two higher. and windy again after a bit of a break yesterday with gusts up to 30 and maybe 35 at times in the afternoon. for the evening commute it's blustery and hold on to the wheel but otherwise good. clouds gathering and 72 by 5:00 and 69 degrees by 6:00 and then

down to 67 by 7:00. windy and some sun breaking through the clouds, overnight tonight it stays blustery and with the clouds on the march, we do actually stay mild and the wind is coming up from the southwest and keeping the mild air in place and we drop from 61 degrees and more rain toward morning. now lets cover the precipitation story, this is 6:30 tonight and breaks of sunshine and clouds thicker than where we were this morning. then we get later into tonight 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00. for the most part light coming in. then we advance this into friday morning, we see how there is still precipitation overnight and a heavier cell popping through. looks like heavier stuff coming in later this morning and another round in the afternoon. there is the 4:00 view, there is not only showers and a pop-up thunderstorm and i want you to take cover from those in case they get gusty.
