chilly later this afternoon. high temperatures once again, 45 to 47. when i come back in just a few minutes we'll talk about when the winds subside and i have a couple of rain chances up to in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. 9:03. there's breaking news to tell you about. a building collapsed in southwest philadelphia. you can see the image as right here. one person was hurt when the bricks came tumbling down. this is in the 5000 block of warrington avenue. a man was sitting in a car when the section of the buildings failed. medics took him to the hospital. he is expected to be okay. the injuries are minor, responding firefighters arrived around 6:00 a.m. they are searching the debris to make sure nobody was inside. l&i have responded to the scene. police have closed off this block of warrington avenue while the investigation continues. from our new jersey newsroom, a fire badly damaged a wood frame church in cumberland

county, new jersey. the action cam was at the scene mount pleasant united methodist church at route 49 and pearl street in millville. the fire start started at 5:30 a.m. shortly after the firefighters arrived they struck a second alarm. it took an hour and half to bring the fire under control. this morning no word about any injuries. it is believed that a town tree on some power lines may have started the fire. all right, you know it, the excitement is in the air, villanova fans went wild when the wildcats punched their ticket to the ncaa championship game they did it with a convincing win against what was supposed to be a stuff okay oak team. they beat oklahoma soundly. the score 95-51. the largest margin of victory ever in the national semifinal game in tournament history.

the embarrassing loss prompted the wildcats coach jay wright to walk over and apologize to the oklahoma coach. villanova faces unc in houston texas tomorrow night. moments after they won the game, fans flooded lancaster avenue in celebration. there was pleasant of cheering and chanting for the hometown win. the cats are one game away from bringing home a national title win. church. amtrak officials say palmetto train 89 was involved in the crash reported around 7:53 along the amtrak northeast corridor near booth street in the city of chester him amtrak said the train struck a backhoe on the tracks causing the engine to derail. 341 passengers were on board along with seven crew members, no word on how many people were injured, we know that there were two fatalities. i spoke to a man on the phone who is 52-year-old mother was on the train. she was coming from new york city to maryland. she has injuries to her knees head and back, she told him was a scary and chaotic scene. she was stuck on the train and she was about to be loaded into an ambulance. amtrak has updated it's passengers on twitter confirming that service on the northeast

the winds continue to howl. we're seeing gusts 350 to 50 miles per hour. there's bright blue skies upstairs and puffy cumulus clouds. the radars are crystal clear that's good news as the system that brought the ferocious line of thunderstorms quickly work out to sea. i want to take you to yesterday evening and show you the thunderstorms that ripped through here, the entire line from top to bottom was warn -- worn with winds 50 to 60 miles per hour. we saw well over one thousand lightning strikes in the garden state alone. we are tracking it across the keystone state yesterday. we knew it was going to push in here and bring the strong, powerful winds. we did not expect the hefty line of thunderstorms to come out ahead of it.

that's what happened and it produced damage. i want to take you to georgetown, delaware south of kent county. we have serious reports of trees stuck in-houses. there was a mobile home flipped over and tractor-trailer flipped over, as well as the gusts caused damage in the viewing area. there was a 71-mile an hour wind gusts in dennis township, cape may county. we were shy of hurricane-force winds in parts of the region. when i come back in just a few minutes we'll talk about when the winds subside and when the cold air gets out of here and we feel like spring again. for now it's very, very wind out here. thanks for the update. more breaking news, this time from southwest philadelphia. a building collapsed this morning, one person was hurt when the bricks came tumbling down on to the 5000 block of warrington avenue. the man was hurt sitting in the car. a section of the building fell,

we are told that his injuries are minor. l&i inspectors are on the scene. this block of warrington avenue is blocked off while the vogues continues. fire has badly damaged a wood-framed church in cumberland county, new jersey. you can see the flames in the steeple of the mount pleasant united methodist church along route 49 and pearl street in millville. the fire started at 5:30. it took an hour to bring the two-alarm blaze under control. there's no word about any injuries. investigators say the fire may have been caused by high winds that toppled treat that in turn snapped power lines. okay, now, we turn our attention to villanova commandings march to a championship -- commanding march to a championship they are one win away from bringing home the national title. that's after beating oklahoma in the final four and breaking a new record with that.

methodist church people are going inside if they are not being loaded into ambulances. palmetto train 89 was involved in the crash. it was reported just before 8:00 a.m. this morning along the amtrak northeast corridor near booth street in the city of chester about a mile from here. amtrak said the train struck a backhoe that was on the traction cause -- tracks causing the lead engine to derail. 341 passengers were on board and 7 crew members, no word on how many people were injured, but again we know there were two fatalities, we spoke to a woman in the 6th car heading to washington, d.c. and she described what happened for us. it felt like the train hit something there were three or four big bangs that threw us off the seats we were sitting in. there was a lot of smoke and everybody wag yelling and the --

minutes. can't wait for the good news. 10:04. we're following breaking news right now on this right here, a building collapsed in southwest philadelphia. we are told a person was hurt when the bricks came tumbling down in the 5000 block of warrington avenue that injured a man that was sitting in his car when a section of the building fell down. medics took him to the hospital. we are told that's expected to be okay. he had minor injuries. responding firefighters arrived around 6:00 a.m. this morning and searching the debris to make sure that no one was inside. l&i inspectors are responding to the scene. police have closed off this block of warrington avenue while the investigation continues. now from our new jersey newsroom fire badly damaged a wood-framed church in cumberland county new jersey, mount pleasant united methodist church route 49 and pearl street in millville. the fire started at 5:30.
