woman found dead near an alumni center. and stray bullets fly into a local home with a large group of people inside. but the big story on "action news" is the presidential campaign coming to town. today bernie sanders and hillary clinton are both making appearances at events in philadelphia. clinton is addressing union leaders at the convention and sanders will hold an event at the university. and on the republican cited cruz scored a major victory in wisconsin. and megan hughes is here to break it all down. >> reporter: keep in mind wisconsin say key battleground state in the general election, so for both frontrunners to lose handily last night raises big questions for both parties. today a recess in the gop race, senator ted cruz trouncing

salvation army store in 2013. stray bullets flew into a home with 12 people inside including children. the shooter was targeting a man outside of the home on wagner in olney. annie mccormick is live with more. >> reporter: police say that the 911 calls came in after multiple shots were called at 9:30 last night. they said that several shots hit the home with dozens of people inside with children 6 months to 6 years. shell casings littering the outside of the home in the olney section of the city. i man was shot at and ran inside of this ready. 12 people were at home at the time of the shooting, including the youngest a 6-month-old baby. two bullets went through the front of the house and one shattered a window. >> was hit twice and the house

was hit twice, it appears that this victim or at least the property was the and intended target. >> the shooting victim ran to nearby einstein hospital and was admitted in stable condition. >> this was three blocks from einstein hospital, it turns out that the 24-year-old victim ran three blocks to einstein hospital after being shot. >> we went to the home where the person was shot and the people there did not want to talk to us. it appears that the victim is cooperating at this hour, they don't have a description of the suspect. annie mccormick, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. accuweather now, temperatures are rebounding after another cold morning going live outside sky 6 hd showing us the jersey shore in atlantic city. conditions expected to stay dry throughout the day, for more on that meteorologist, karen rogers, is in for david murphy.

>> hi sara, we had widespread freeze this morning, a cold start to the day, we dipped to 13 in mt. pocono and 29 in allentown and 29 in philadelphia and atlantic city 22 degrees. that is a new record low for us, the low was 24 set in 182, it's unusually cold. usually we have an overnight low of 41. satellite 6 along with action radar showing we still have the sunshine and you can see the clouds coming in from the north and west season the rain is not all that far behind it. and that will impact us tomorrow, today we have a dry day and the sunshine and we'll see a few more clouds filter in during the afternoon hours but we stay dry today and tomorrow is the wet one. 47 degrees and we rebounded nicely. 44 in allentown and 45 in trenton and 48 in dover, delaware. it's been up and down. something of a spring seesaw. saturday's high 65 and dropped

the university of texas in austin is beefing up security after a woman was found murdered on campus. the body was discovered in a creek near the alumni center. police have not identified the woman. sources say she was a ut student. they are doing everything possible to ensure student safety but do not believe there say threat to students. a man's escape from a raining wild fire was captured by a news crew in arizona. a husband and wife storm chasing team pulled up and let the man into their truck just in time. no injuries have been reported. a 9-year-old reporter that

scam. they used it to arrest 22 people. for helping foreign people fraudulently obtain or keep student visas. san francisco is the first in the country to require fully paid leave for moms and dads. the bill forces employers with at least 20 employees to give them six weeks off with pay after the birth of a child. the mayor is expected to sign the legislation but it is not without controversy. small business openers say it's an unfair burden. and two drug companies are abandoning their plan to merge and a cash infusion to fight the zika virus. where the government is getting the money.

winds out of the south-southwest. they are starting to pick up a bit at 10 miles per hour. and the ocean temperature 48 degrees, satellite 6 along with action radar showing we are dry right now in philadelphia and we see the clouds pulling in from the north and west and they mix with the sunshine here this afternoon and the rain is not all that far behind. this rain will sweep through and that will impact us for tomorrow. ahead of that we are dry and a few more clouds mixing in this afternoon and then the rain comes our way. lets spell out the day for you the rest of it. we started off cold and the temperatures rebounding better, our high is 54 degrees, that is 10 degrees better than yesterday's high, by 4:00 p.m., 54, by 10:00 mostly cloudy skies and 48 degrees. so in the evening hours, you'll see a few more clouds and not as cold in the overnight hours. tomorrow the rain arrives and we
