a's five-year old sibling who pulled the trigger. the saturday night i'm walter perez. the big story on "action news" is tragic shooting death of the little girl. four year-old was shot and killed inside her home in kensington this afternoon and police say a sibling was to blame. a "action news" reporter jeff chirico is live at police headquarters with the very latest on the investigation, jeff. walter, thinks so tragic, police say the five-year old used the mother's boyfriend gun, that boyfriend then fled the scene before police arrived. as you can imagine, the tragic situation has left loved ones devastated. >> i was told that she was shot and killed. >> reporter: stunned and heart broken crystal dougherty greeted loss of her friend's four year-old daughter whom she described as beautiful and bright. >> she was a sweet, loving little girl. she was full of life. she was always willing to help. she was a great big sister. >> reporter: investigators say the five-year old sibling shot her once in the chest inside

their home on the 200 block of east mayfield street. the child used the mother's boyfriend's gun. neighbor louise sawyer said she saw the mother leave with police. >> they took her out. she didn't look good. >> police took her out? >> yes, they took her, too. >> reporter: sawyer says girl's mother was protect and wouldn't let her kids play out front because she feared violence in the street. >> i said why don't you bring kid out? no, i'm not bringing kid out here with all this trouble, in. >> reporter: homicide detective spent hours processing trying to figure out how a five-year old got a hold of the gun that turned a young girl in the cities latest victim of gun violence. >> do you have any idea where that weapon may have come from. >> no idea at all. no. >> unaudible. >> reporter: we do know police have been looking for that mother's boyfriend all night long and at this hour it is unclear whether they have found him. we're live at police headquarters, jeff chirico for

channel six "action news". >> so tragic, thanks, jeff. developing news right now one person has been injured tonight during a fire in camden county. these are mansion apartments in pine hill. the fire broke out at 9:00 p.m. and quickly went to three alarms. we're told several people were rescued and half an hour ago the fire was placed under control. no word tonight how the whole thing started. an arrest has been made in the theft of the package filled with electronics from the porch of the home in wynfield. theft was captured. this happened tuesday afternoon in the 5400 block of woodbine avenue. video shows that the delivery man dropping off two amazon boxes containing electronics. a couple hours later a man approach the door, waiting for nearly a minute, and then kicks the box before cautiously picking it up and hiding tonight his jacket. surveillance camera was purchased after the home owner was a victim of the burglary last year. no word on the suspect's identity. moving to the accu weather forecast in the wake of the picture perfect spring day, we have had highs in the upper 60's and tomorrow will be even
