battling serious illnesses and disabilities got a welcomed break today. they enjoyed lunch, entertainment and cruise on the delaware river. the spirit of the philadelphia partnered with the kelly ann memorial fund to host 400 children, parents and siblings. for 40 years the fund has worked to lighten burden for families in need. delaware valley's lgbt community gathered to day to honor mayor jim kenney. the delaware valley legacy fund awarded kenney as their alley hero of the year. kenney sponsored an equal rights bill three years ago aimed at expanding health coverage for lgbt workers. it was first law of its kind
