crash overnight sending the driver to the hospital. and big celebrations are underway in london for the queen's 90th birthday. but the big story on "action news" is breaking news, a teenager is dead after she was assaulted inside of a wilmington high school this morning. the 15-year-old was taken from howard high school of technology by helicopter but efforts to save her life were not successful. lets go to chad pradelli outside of the school in wilmington with all the details. >> reporter: rick, the mayor and chief of police and other officials just held a press conference here at howard high school saying that a fight broke out in a girl's bathroom and the victim was knocked unconscious and it was a disturbing scene as paramedics desperately tried to save her life. >> i'm so upset -- that a young lady lost her life today.

things like this shouldn't happen. my heart bleeds for the family and the kids that go to this school and the administrators and our city. >> ems and first responders frantically tried to revive the victim. she was air lifted to a local hospital where she later died. kayla wilson says she was in the stall when the fight broke out inside of the bathroom. >> she was fighting a girl and then all of these other girls started banking her. >> banking? >> like jumping her and she hit her head on the sink. >> school was dismissed a short time later and school administrators tried to keep calm outside. many were unaware of the receivseverity of the situation >> there was an incidents that took place at howard and come get your child. >> they say it was a fight.

bursting through. later today and tonight we'll have cloudy skies and tomorrow a little damp, lehigh valley forecast, sun and high clouds moving in and warmer than yesterday, high 75 degrees, down the shore, a little cooler again next to the flow coming in off the cool ocean, 55 in the water and 65 in the beach and cool and still a nice afternoon. in philadelphia, we'll go for a patriotic high, 76 degrees is your high a mix of sun and clouds and a bit warmer and winds from the southwest bringing in the mild air for us today. running 7 to 14 on average, but as you saw they go up above that every now and then. for the evening commute it's probably still sun glass weather, you may still want the shades. 77 by 4:00 and 74 by 5:00 and then getting down into the 60s by 7:00. 61 is the overnight low and it's mostly cloudy and pretty darn mild. winds from the southwest 6 to 16
