temperature-wise it's a mild morning. 62 in philadelphia. allentown, 62. and millville, 61. so forecast for today, if you have those outdoor plans, hopefully they are during the afternoon, it will be a little damp this morning. lots of clouds through late morning, a couple of showers, 69 degrees by 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m., the return of sunshine and temperatures in the low 70s. gray? okay, chris, thank you so much for the update. time 6:02. the delaware valley is once again in the spotlight as the candidates vying for the white house come to the area to gain voters report. democratic hopeful, bernie sanders will hold a rally on the wilmington waterfront, yesterday, matt o'donnell had a chance to talk to him one on one. >> reporter: bernie sanders waded into philadelphia politics during and after a discussion in west philadelphia. he called mayor kenny's proposed soda tax regressive and unfair to the poor, but lauded the

mayor to expand prek -- pre-k. who she would pay. we are going to raise taxes on the 1%. >> reporter: winning pennsylvania will be a tall task for bernie sanders. hillary clinton won it back in 2008. and her husband won it twice on the way to the white house. why is bernie sanders campaigning in pennsylvania? bernie sanders has won 17 states in the election for the democratic nomination. we came from 16 points behind. >> reporter: most everyone had predicted hillary clinton would steam roll her way to the democratic national convention in philadelphia this summer. sanders has stood in her way time and time again. clinton herself compared his

family from their home in waterford township, camden county. the search is on for the family's two dogs on hillside avenue. the fire started at 2:30. the cause is under investigation. new information to tell you about an suv took a chunk of a home at the jersey shore, the suv flipped over after striking the corner of a home on schoolhouse road in egg harbor township. the driver got out with minor injuries. the people who live in the home they are okay. police are talking to the driver and trying to figure out what caused a wreck. a community is struggling with the senseless death of amy joyner. the 16-year-old died after being assaulted in the bathroom at the school. police are questioning multiple

people, but no arrests have been made in the case. those who knew her are asking why this happened. my baby is gone and it hurts me to the core because i never expected that i have to be up saying rest in peace to one of my friends. this was not a young lady who was involved in street activity. this was the honor roll student manager of the wrestling team her mother and father were involved in her life. heartbreaking story. funeral arrangements are pending for the 16-year-old student. a state trooper who helped to guard governor tom wolf stands accused of beating his life. he beat his wife and threatened to kill her after a night of drinking. jordon is suspended without pay while the investigation continues. thick black smoke filled the air as firefighters battled

a fire in reading. the took two hours to bring the fire under control. smoke could be seen from miles. everyone was able to make it out of the buildings safely. police in camden arrested a man in connection with a suspicious fire that sent 6 people to the hospital. including four children. the two story row home went up in flames early yesterday morning on the 800 block of haddon avenue. police say the suspect was a ten antiwho was in the process of being evicted. everyone is expected to be okay. 6:08. a portion of broad street in center city is closed off, but you may enjoy the shut down. the philadelphia international festival of the arts is taking over broad street from chestnut to south streets and that means traffic will be detoured to 13th and 15th streets. breakdown of the event should be complete by early tomorrow morning. there's much more to come on "action news" saturday morning, showing his hand, bird fans got

the scene through eastbound lanes. police say the man wanted for shooting and killing five people in mument -- mument -- multiple locations has taken his own life in columbia i can't county. the shooter was -- columbia county. they were relatives of his wyche. police don't have a motive only saying the killings were domestic in nature. the search is on for a person in southern ohio who executed 8 members of one family. there are 6 different crime scenes, one woman was shot as she slept next to a four day old baby. the baby and two other very young children were spared. investigators believe the family was targeted. we are advising family
