good afternoon, in the news, a large brushfire forces evacuations in the poconos. verticals say it was started on purpose. also a new show of support

at the delaware high school where a student was killed last week. but the big to the big stoy on "action news" is the latest on a deadly shooting inside a montgomery county church. one man was killed during montgomery county service yesterday. police know who pulled the trigger. katherine scott joins us live from the district attorney's office from norristown with more on the investigation. katherine? >> reporter: sarah, detectives and members of the district attorney's office are meeting in norristown as they continue to go over the interviews they conducted as they conducted the investigation. as for the man who opened fire, he has not been charged. he is cooperating with them. he is a young man. >> reporter: the family of 27-year-old robert braxton is grieving stunned while the montgomeryville man was shot and killed attending church in north wales.

you don't go to church to be killed. >> reporter: 11:00 a.m. sunday service was underway at the church on the 400 block of stump road. the congregation stopped singing and the gunfire. we were worshiping and you hear three different gunshots and everybody went on the floor. >> reporter: braxton was hit in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital. investigators believe an argument between two church members escalated. the investigation is on going. we have to determine if the shooting was justified under the law. >> reporter: the district attorney wouldn't elaborate, but said braxton was not armed. the shooter had a concealed carry permit for his semi automatic handgun. one church member saw several ushers arguing with braxton before the shooting. one of the ushers shot him. i don't know if he overreacted. the man wasn't armed. i don't know what to say. >> reporter: the shooter has not

been identified, and, again, he has not been charged. as for braxton, the autopsy is scheduled for today. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." philadelphia police are investigating two deadly shootings that happened just hours apart in the same neighborhood. the first happened yesterday afternoon in cedarbrook when a man was shot in the head while talking to the aid of a candidate for the pennsylvania house. four hours later a block away another shooting left a 17-year-old hurt and 18-year-old dead. annie mccormick will have more on the investigation at 12:30. there was a show of support at a delaware high school where a student was killed last week. adults gathered outside howard high school in wilmington to hug and comfort students as they arrived. it was the first full day of regular classes since the death of 18-year-old amy joyner last thursday. she died after a fight in the

bathroom. police have not announced charges in the case. turning to politics now, the presidential candidates will be attending events across the region today ahead of the primaries in pennsylvania and delaware tomorrow. hillary clinton supporters lined up in wilmington for a chance to see her speak at world cafe live. you can see the supporters on the stage waiting for hillary clinton to arrive at any moment now in wilmington, delaware. later on tonight, clinton has a rally outside of philadelphia city hall and that kicks off around 7:00 p.m. rival bernie sanders will rally at drexel university athletic center at 8:00 p.m. admission is free, but space is limited. on the republican side donald trump has a campaign rally at west chester university. i john kasich mingled with voters at the penrose dinner after he and cruz hatched a plan
