philadelphia are getting a break and lots of clouds and it's damp but the steady rain is north of the city, if you are heading up the blue route it's raining and we have steadier rain in doylestown now, it's all lifting up to the north slowly. and philadelphia is right on the fringe, hour this system is not done with us yet. the surface low is pulling through and an upper level low to go. that keeps us with a cloudy wet weather pattern, right now temperatures across the board except for the poconos only in the 40s, you want a jacket heading out and double scan live you see the big picture and steadier rain lifting north of our region into new england right now but there is another upper level low that swings through tomorrow afternoon. that will keep us locked in with the clouds and the occasional rain and drizzle, i don't want you to think it will be a washout the next 24 hours, but we'll have rain and drizzle with

a few dry breaks but with the dry breaks it's cloudy and chilly with temperatures only in the 40s and 50s. and we are looking at total rainfall for this system about a quarter to half inch, but i'm tracking another system heading through over the weekend. we'll have details on timing on that coming up in the full accuweather forecast. >> we'll check back in later thank you. >> a man is facing charges in connection with the deadly shooting inside of a church in montgomery county. 90 minutes ago, prosecutors named mark storms of landed dale as the suspected gunman. according to police storm shot robert braxton. sara bloomquist has the full story coming up tonight at 6:00. a young girl is recovering after her dog bit her on the back. it happened in the strawberry mansion section on the 3200 block of diamond street.

parts of mississippi are under a flash flood emergency after storms dropped water in the region. there are reports of people trapped in their homes but no reports of injuries. three people connected to the san bernardino attack were arrested today in a marriage fraud conspiracy. the suspects include the brother and sister-in-law of syed farook and enrique marquez accused of helping to carryout the attack. and the three suspects lied under only to obtain immigration

weather in virginia and west virginia. we will not get the severe weather but we get another wave of rain. 7:00 tonight we have light showers mainly across south jersey, notice the temperatures they barely move overnight and temperatures in the 40s and plenty of clouds and the morning rush we have clouds and occasional drizzle and it looks like the steadiest rain much like today will hold off until the afternoon and evening hours around 5:00 you can see not a really solid band of heavy rain but scattered showers. not the best forecast for the penn relays tomorrow. lots of clouds with periods of rain especially the second half of the day, and it stays cool and 56 degrees, saturday is the brighter of the next several days but we are looking at more clouds than sunshine and milder though with a high of 65 degrees. if you look at the chances of rain, we have a chance pretty much every day the next five days, and saturday the best potential for dry weather only a

drugs or alcohol was a factor in this crash. katherine scott, channel 6 "action news." a temple university student is recovering after being attacked by four teenagers in north philadelphia. it was caught on camera. it happened late sunday on the 1300 block of north norris street. the 43-year-old student was walking and then the suspect started punching and kicking him and continued until a security officer chased them away and the video caught the suspects smiling and laughing as they ran from the area. if you recognize them call philadelphia police right away. mercer county police have ended an investigation with eight arrests. the narcotics task force says it was part of a sting involving weapons and drugs and pills. they recovered over $110,000 in

philadelphia city council members are shining a light on youth homelessness. two committees held a hearing to address it, officials say that 39% of young people in philadelphia suffer from

poverty. since 2009 saw a 73% increase in homelessness. >> it's worse to see young people homelessness, we want to helpfully come up with solutions and end it. >> they are hoping to expand services to homeless youth. services are helping families get back on their feet. the first presbyterian church of ambler presented a check to buy a house for families in transition, it allows them to do something bigger. hundreds took over city hall today. mayor jim kenney participated in take our daughters and sons to workday. the youngsters had the opportunity to shadow employees, it's important for kids to see

members of philadelphia city council and members of the department of agriculture announced plans to get into the vertical farming industry. the popular method is used to grow fresh pesticide free produce in urban settings. they said that philadelphia is the perfect place to be a global hub for production and training.

as we look at temperatures, we dip them down the drains, so to speak. 58 yesterday and 56 today and the normal being at 68 degrees and we'll stay in the 60s one more day before we catch the 60s one more day on saturday. right now with the rain and without the rain temperatures only in the mid to upper 40s everywhere. once the rain pushed in we wet balled the temperature, it's a saturation level here. with that rain coming in and in fact that ribbon of rain moving to the north a bit of a break dealing with severe weather where the sun broke out in west virginia and western virginia. we will not see severe weather because we stay on the cool side of the system into friday and this boundary lays all the way west and a spin here east of omaha and a couple of waves of low pressure is the next to arrive tomorrow. >> at 11:30, spinning showers to the north and rather dry and

cloudy and cool to the south and temperatures in the 40s. we stay mainly in the 40s and 50s millville with a couple of scattered showers with the morning rush hour and much like today most of the concentration of steadier rain waits until the afternoon tomorrow and temperatures around 50 degrees, and that continues and we catch a break on saturday and the clouds linger here and maybe a peek of sun on saturday and it's dry with temperatures in the 50s going into the 60s and another impressive area of low pressure comes in with the morning soaking on sunday. with temperatures still below normal of 60 degrees. the exclusive accuweather forecast damp and cool tomorrow and 56 with a peek of sun and dry saturday and 65 and sunday for the broad street run, here is the snapshot for the start of the race. >> not look going here. heavy rainfall passing through and it should exit by the afternoon, maybe we can speed up the timing here, we have a
