philadelphia and there is new information about the man that threatened a baltimore television station. but the big story on "action news" is a pair of emergency landings that led to a ground stoppage at philadelphia international airport. two planes ran in trouble on their way to philadelphia. that made for tense moments for passengers and a number of delays. katherine scott is live now where more flights are still running behind. >> reporter: particularly on that flight where the pilot reported seeing smoke, it seemed like there was harrowing moments for passengers but in the end everyone evacuated safely. airline officials say it was coincidence, two emergency landings at philadelphia international airport in 15 minutes. one passenger woke up with an oxygen mask hitting him in the face and stressed how great the crew was. 55 people were on board the

eagle flight operated by peidmo peidmont. just prior to landing the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit. minutes before republic airlines airline 518 also bound for philadelphia landed after reporting steering problems. an airport spokesperson says that the flight landed normally and taxis under its own power. no planes going in or out and was lifted shortly after 9:00 a.m. but some delays remained. >> it was a ground delay at philadelphia. >> a passenger from dulles heard the announcement of the inter come. >> there was a plane that could have had smoke in the cockpit and a delay and nothing was going in or out of philadelphia. >> friday morning, 8:00 a.m. is a busy time at the airport and there is a lot of volume so you
