our team of meteorologists. you'll be prepared for whatever changes may happen. 7:02, new information to tell you about, a driver is dead after losing control of his car in cherry hill, new jersey. the investigation as closed part of the busy road in that area. the car slammed into a barrier on route 38 and church road. police have blocked 38 at church road blocks away from the cherry hill mall. brand new at 7:00 a.m., a 1-year-old child is among four children displaced by a fire in port richmond. the child ended up with a cut on his head. an adult suffered smoke while escaping 2800 block of tulip street. the fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate. funeral services will be held tomorrow for 16-year-old

amy joyner-francis. she was beaten inside her high school. a program was held last night to help teenagers make better choices. >> reporter: discussion and mourning continue inside the bible church the sadness of the briewlings -- brutal beating of amy joyner francis is very raw. sources say she was stabbed with pencil and her head slammed into a sink, though police say no weapons were used. she lost consciousness paramedics tried to revive her and she was flown to a local hospital and died. three fellow students were suspended, but no charges. wilmington police chief held a brief press conference, but didn't take questions. there are 3,000 printed

pages of data that must be reviewed by investigators on the case. because there's a lot of work left to do by the detectives and attorney general office in terms of reviewing evidence and rel -- relative facts we are not in a position to file charges. cummings said he intends to charge three girls. autopsy results have not been released. police are working around the clock with the full attorney general's office and they are obligated to the family to do a thorough and complete investigation. chad perdelli channel 6 "action news." 7:05. former police commissioner, willie williams will be laid to rest in philadelphia. a viewing will be held at psy -- zion baptist church. he died at his home near atlanta, after a long illness,

williams was 72 years old. jerry sandusky will be back in court on monday to seek a new trial. child sex abuse conviction put him in prison for 30 to 60 years. his attorneys will argue that grand jury leaks tainted the first trial. victims may testify at monday's hearing. "action news" will be in centre county for the proceedings. penn state's former president and vice president and athletic director are being tried on less serious charges. take a look at this, the huge flames are not from a raging wildfire they are from a gas line pipeline explosion south of york yesterday. the flames could be seen and felt for miles away. the blast happened inside the texas eastern pipeline. firefighters arriving on the scene said they had never seen anything like it. come around the bend it

so glad you stayed with us, listen to this story, burglars may think twice before heading a home in alabama. he was home alone when a man broke in and stole a clothes hamper, he grabbed his parents handgun and shot the man in the leg. he said his stepfather taught him to shoot by playing zombies in target practice. don't mess with that 11-year-old. a massachusetts woman whose purse was stolen has it back 14 years after it was taken. she said she was confused when an officer showed up at her door and said, hey, here's your pocketbook. she said my purse is in the

the vehicle turned over on a ramp at 6:00 a.m. medics took three crash victims to atlanticare regional medical center to be treated. police are investigating. police are questioning a man they believe slashed a man's neck inside a center city hotel. officers say it stemmed from an argument at a party on the 15th floor of the embassy suites on the benjamin franklin parkway. two men got into a dispute. one man pulled out a knife and slashed the other in the neck. several people at the party took off before police got to the scene. new information to tell you about this morning, police say a dispute between neighbors sparked a shooting on the 3400 block of crystal street in kensington this morning. the suspected shooter is believed to have shot at his neighbor and went into his home and would not come out when police arrived. a negotiator was called out along with swat officers.

the suspect surrendered after an hour and half. no injuries were reported. stop and frisk policing in philadelphia has been at center of heated discussions for years. while mayor said those days are over with, some communities are not convinced their emotions boiled over at a meeting last night. dann cuellar was there. it was -- suppose to be a forum with mayor kenny and commissioner richard ross to end the unconstitutional stopping and frisking of police for no reason. they need a reason to stop them

the mayor apologized for what happened before he took office, but some people didn't believe it. >> reporter: the reverend reminded people that they were in the house of god and unloaded on the mayor himself. [inaudible]. [applause] more drugs more problems. >> reporter: one lady urged attendees to sign a petition to get police out of their neighborhoods. [inaudible]. the mayor tried to speak, but kept getting interrupted. [inaudible] >> reporter: soon there is utter chaos. please, please, please. >> reporter: soon many people who didn't like how things were going began to leave. the tone of the meeting for me is more negative coming from

rally in philadelphia. they are scrutinizing dozens of names for possible vice president picks. meanwhile, bernie sanders withdrew a lawsuit that accused the democratic national committee of cutting off his access to a voter data base. the dnc took that action during the hillary campaign. subaru will create 700 jobs in camden. they have teamed up with the organization called respond for subaru university to train future mechanics and technicianses. camden has an unemployment rate of 12.3% three times the state average. more than 1,000 high schools and hundreds of colleges are competing in the three day track and field event there in
