polls in the crucial indiana primary. but the big story is the gloomy conditions that just won't go away. sky 6 hd telling the story. it's cloudy, cool and damp all over and we are stuck with these conditions for the work week. david murphy is live are the call. >> reporter: it does last for the next several days. on radar you don't see much of anything in the way of a shower, a little bit of that in south jersey, but you saw on sky 6 hd picture how low the clouds are hanging and you are getting light, misty drizzle in the region, that is what you expect the rest of way and maybe a pop-up shower and the area of low pressure that came through earlier this morning that brought the steadier rain is push ago way from us. and there say frontal boundary that swings to the south and west and along the front is continued stability and easterly flow on top of it brings moisture from the ocean.

that is why we stay cloudy and that frontal boundary is hanging with us for the rest of today. an area of low pressure is swinging past us, a cutoff low. it gets separated from the jet stream and the atmosphere and it meanders and get get through quickly. right now we have cool conditions out there and this temperature has not changed much in the last several hours. at dawn 56, 57 and we are still there with the flow off the ocean. 57 in millville and same story in wilmington. and we expect the majority of the region to maintain similar numbers the rest of the afternoon. a high of 60 in philadelphia, probably just sit there 2:30 to 5:30, before we slip a bit. below the average of 70 and we are getting socked in by the clouds. the pattern we are in hangs with us for the rest of the work

in indiana they will keep up the fight for their party's nomination. but the delegate mass may be a brutal reality they will have to face. another american service member died in iraq. a navy seal was killed by direct fire after islamic state forces penetrated the frontline of kurdish troops near mosul. his name is not released. this is the third american killed since this operation against isis began in 2014. from our new jersey newsroom, authorities are searching for an escaped prison inmate. arthur buckle was missing during a head count this morning, the facility is located in hammonton. he was serving time for aggravate sd assault and was due for parole in three weeks. two family members are

recovering following a double shooting in north philadelphia. police say that the teenager and his female cousin was wounded earlier this morning. annie mccormick is live now. >> reporter: and sara, both victims were taken to temple university hospital in stable condition we are told with non-life-threatening injuries. police are saying that they believe that both of them were allegedly selling drugs at the time of the shooting. >> 1:00 a.m. district police responded to 911 calls reports of two people shot on the highway on the 1100 block of glenwood. they found two victims. >> a 16-year-old boy and his 20-year-old female cousin. he was hit in the elbow and his cousin hit in the back. they were found blocks away from where they told detectives where

the shooting occurred. >> why they ran two blocks away as opposed to running home is a concern to us. we don't know how truthful they are being with their story. >> they only have a vague description of the shooter according to the victims just walked up and opened fire, investigators don't have a crime scene. we couldn't find any scene, no ballistic evidence, no proje projectiles or blood. >> they said the offender was 6 feet tall skinny with an olive green hoody. if you have any information you are urged to call police. annie mccormick, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a woman made it out safely when part of her home collapsed this morning in the city's lawndale section, she was

the death of an airline passenger was under investigation. a plane from mexico made an emergency landing in texas after the man died in a flight from chicago to mexico overnight. a doctor was on board and tried to help when the man suffered health complications. but he died when the plane was in the air. the ntsb is meeting today to determine what caused a fatal fire inside a subway tunnel that killed a passenger in 2015. the federal agency released this video showing the smoke filling the metro station, dozens of passengers were trapped inside of the smokey train. the d.c. metro system has not

teachers are called out sick. they are concerned they will not get paid if they run out of money. a top republican lawmaker says that teachers will get paid and they are considering a reconstruction plan that would pay off the district's enormous debt. for the second time johnson & johnson is ordered to pay money to a woman that said she got ovarian cancer from talcum powder. in february a separate st. louis jury awarded $72 million to the family of an alabama woman that died from the disease. a plane powered only by sunlight has arrived in arizona. the latest stop on its global journey. impulse 2 travels from california to phoenix, interestingly touching down after sun down. the plane carrying two pilots

airport travelers could be getting some relief from security lines this summer. the tsa will assign more than 700 new screeners to the busiest airports by mid-june. the agency is putting an extra 26 milli$26 million towards ove pay. and switching bomb sniffing dogs to airports where they are needed. people who are sick of paying high cable bills may soon have another option. hulu is working to stream entire broadcasting cable networks for a cheaper monthly fee, they are expected to launch the service for $30 a month. it will come with a select group of channels. seven of ten of the most profitable hospitals in the country are actually nonprofits.

we are stuck. there is an awful lot of light at the end of the tunnel. stormtracker 6 live double scan shows you we are essentially dry as long as you are talking about just showers. if we go down to the shore there are light sprinkles and showers and pushing their way to the coast but they won't be around much longer but the cloud cover is low and are you getting mystery drizzle and looking at the action cam earlier at fairmount park. if you look closely at this picture you can see the mist coming down. you can't see it when you look at the pink flowers but when you get the dark areas in the branches you see the mist. that is what you are dealing with in the area now. 57 in philadelphia, that number is pretty amazing because that is where we were at sunrise this morning. lack of sunrise is really what it was. the temperature has maintained a cool solid 57 and most of you haven't seen the numbers go very

far. you have winds coming from the east-northeast, bringing moist and cool air off the ocean so gently. numbers across the region, 56's and 57's and we look for highs north to south today, a couple of degree as part really, future tracker 6 shows you for the rest of day it's looking like mainly low lying cloud cover and intermittent drizzle and can't rule out a shower. i think it's just gray and feeling kind of cool and damp out there today. 58 and cloudy skies and damp conditions in the lehigh valley. down the shore looking cool and damp and the rainy drizzle getting off the coast. but an afternoon of drizzle and cloud cover, 56 is all you'll see next to the ocean. in philadelphia a chance of 60, but may stop at 58, 59. we had the rainy start and afternoon drizzle is part of the issue.

winds out of the east 8 to 16 miles per hour. 60 degrees by 4:00 and 59 by 5:00 and by 7:00 we'll be down to 56 and you may have the windshield wiper intermittent on the way home. that is the way it was this morning and i expect that to be the case this afternoon. cloudy skies and drizzle and 51 is your overnight low. then we get into tomorrow and we have an area of low pressure that is probably too far off the coast to deliver heavy rain but at times with a second low inching towards us it keeps us relatively cloudy and we'll have showers. another cool high of 62. maybe showers up to the north and west and through the day there is that chance of it becoming damp again. your exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, today's high 60 degrees and cloudy and dam many and tomorrow cloudy and
