pop pop pop and that is when everything froze. >> people living in the overbrook section are on edge after police shot and killed a driver early wednesday morning along lancaster avenue and some are questioning if the shooting was justified. >> we have license plate, we have detections, there is camera everywhere, on the corner, follow him and arrest him. you don't take life. life is precious. >> the woman admits she did not see anything but believes she heard the driver of the van before he was shot. >> i heard the kid yelling, i'm stopping i'm stopping and pow pow pow pow pow. that was it i didn't hear nothing else. >> it started when police got calls about this minivan in the area that seemed suspicious. officers responded and tried to get the van to stop but it didn't. they eventually cornered the van and the driver didn't stop and drove toward them and then one

officer fired several shots killing the driver. >> they got out and he attempted to flea from them trapping one of the officer between the car and other area where he didn't feel like he could escape. and he discharged his weapon. >> commissioner ross says it's too early to see if the shooting was justified and there will be an internal affairs investigation. >> we'll look for other witnesses as well. civilianwities to see what we can find and see if it matches up with what the officers are saying. >> back out live, we can tell you that no one else was hurt. the driver did slam into several parked vehicles, police say at this point he was not armed and they are looking into his background. we are looking for more information in this case. >> all right gray thank you. just hours before that shooting in overbrook, another police involved shooting played

out in southwest philadelphia. 12 district officers were on patrol when they heard gun fire, they tracked down the man carrying the gun on the 1500 block of grays avenue and the confrontation started. >> they approached the male and told him to drop the weapon, the male aimed the weapon at police and fired and missed. and the officer shot two times back and shot the suspect in the leg. >> the man is expected to survive and another man was taken into custody at the scene for questioning, the circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation. the city of philadelphia is honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. details. >> reporter: this investigation is not over yet. gloucester township police are working to determine if the men involved in this ring are part of a larger credit card fraud ring. >> they are not trying to steal to get by or survive. they are trying to make a living out is of stealing. gloucester county police chief is talking about the men that nearly got away with merchandise stolen from high end stores from the gloucester premium outlets it starts when officers on patrol spotted the man trying to make a purchase using credit card and debit cards that were being die kneed. they watched the suspect go to a vehicle where they observed three men coming and going. when they moved in to speak to a suspect one started to panic. >> one of people we didn't know that were watching is trying to hide is the credit cards that were stolen or falsified credit

cards underneath mulch or trying to hide them. that is when police officers swooped in and arrested four men all from the bronx. inside of their vehicle they found high end clothing and jewelry and boxes of sneakers and even the equipment they used to make the phoney credit and debit cards. >> they had a laptop commuter and plastic printser and created gift cards and making numbers and stolen information and we are working on how they got that information. >> department harkins says the arrests are more gratifying because it's the first major bust made the retail investigation bureau. >> we have all kinds of covert and overt operations being conducted with the partnership of our retail vendors and stores. >> those suspects face a string of charges including theft by deception and receiving stolen

property and conspiracy. reporting live from gloucester township. there is more on the search for an escaped prisoner in south jersey. there is a shelter in place at schools in ocean county. arthur buckle was reported missing from hammonton prison yesterday. they found a truck that buckle was believed to have stolen. that truck was towed from a cvs in barnegat. this escape could send him back to prison for an extra three to five years. newcastle county police are investigating a crash involving a patrol car. the officer's vehicle collided with another car at the intersection of sixth and orange street in wilmington. one person was injured but at this time we don't know who was hurt or the extent of their injuries. >> police are looking for the

man that robbed a center citibank in broad daylight today. this is the picture of the man wanted for the crime. they say he passed a note to the teller demanding money, it happened at noon today. anyone with information about the crime or the man you see here is asked to call the fbi or philadelphia police. meanwhile, the search is also on for two men that robbed an olney family dollar store at gun point. this is new video showing the mask masked intruders telling the employees to open the safe and registers. they tried but could not get the safe open. the suspects ran with money from the registers. and now delaware county is celebrating 100 years of protecting and serving the community. the haverford police force posed for their picture today in fronts of the police station, they are celebrating the department's hundred years in

the state has until monday that it will not comply with or implement the law called house bill two it would have prevented transgender from using public bathrooms that do not match their biological sex and from city's from passing none discrimination laws. and we'll have more on the decision coming up in the next half hour.
