a nearby cvs served triage for first responders tending to the injured. the fire is under control. "action news" will bring you updates as the investigation continues. new information to tell you about this morning. two men are in the hospital after they were stabbed behind a northeast philadelphia strip mall. this happened late last night in a parking lot in the 6200 block of bustleton avenue. one man was stabbed in the back, the other man in the hand. police say both victims are not their 30s, no arrests have been made. investigators are sorting out a motive. today philadelphia will say goodbye to former philadelphia police commissioner, willie williams. current commissioner, ross led a parade of hundreds of police officers into the funeral home. it was the first of two public

viewings for williams who died last week. he was 72 years old. a second viewing will be held at zion baptist church, funeral services follow. presumptive presidential nominee holds rallies in washington state. protesters gathered in oregon as the plane arrived there. oregon and washington state hold primaries this month. bob dole is among the latest to endorse trump while others say they will not. hillary clinton focused on trump during a rally she held in oakland, california. she claims trump does not care for equal pay for women because he does not think much of women. clinton's democratic challenger, bernie sanders vows to take his

"action news" has learned that three people have died saturday of an apartment fire, two fatalities are an adult and the other is a child. all nine were injured on dekalb at oak street. the fire started at 4:00 a.m. and is now under control. state police and montgomery county d.a. have been called to the scene. new this morning, a couple was killed by fire overnight inside their home in south philadelphia. investigators say their deaths might have been preventible, flames ripped through a third floor bedroom in the 1700 block of moore street. firefighters brought the fire under control in 17 minutes. when the smoke cleared they found the body of a man in his 70s and woman in her 60s. this family had 6 smoke alarms, but they were orderly smoke alarms and the batteries didn't work, not one of the smoke alarms had a working battery. the commissioner said

clutter on the other floors would have made it difficult for the mann and woman to escape the home. the cause of the fire is being investigated. a shooting spree that terrorized a suburban washington, d.c. is over. police arrested the man whose suspected killings were personal and at times random. >> reporter: this video shows the dramatic moment when the suspected gunman was caught. eulalio tordil walks to his car and gets inside and police swarm the vehicle and surrounded him, arresting him blocks from one of the crime scenes. four hours earlier at 11:15 a.m., with thousands of customers in the store shots rang out. a woman hit two men trying to help her, shot, as well. all rushed to the hospital. where one of the good samaritans later died. stunt shoppers trapped inside. nordstrom rolled down their metal doors and locked us in
