on one with george stephanopoulos later on this week. hear what he has to say coming up at 10:30 on 6 abc. it was a violent weekend in wilmington, one man is dead and two others in the hospital after two separate shootings. the story is coming from our delaware newsroom. police were called to the unit block of west 27th street after midnight where they found a 27-year-old man and 25-year-old woman with gunshot injuries. both were taken to christiana hospital for treatment. the man is in critical, but stable condition. the woman is in stable condition. 6 hours earlier, 43-year-old man was shot at north rodney street in wilmington. the victim was rushed to the hospital where he died from his injuries. police have no motives or suspects in either shootings. there are fears that the wildfire burning out of control this in canada could spread from neighboring alberta into saskatchewan.

the blaze covers 3400 acres of landslide. 1600 homes were torched by the blaze. officials say the extreme fire conditions are expected to persist for the next two days. the fire ignited on may 1 and burning out of control ever since. meanwhile, the massive wildfire is pushing up the cost of crude oil. prices rose 34 cents a barrel on friday. oil prices spike when there's a concern that supply could be affected. this comes when we're seeing higher prices at the gas pump. the average cost for gasoline is at a 6 month high. it's up 8 cents in a week and 20 cents in a month. in philadelphia we're paying 2.42. in new jersey, where prices are the lowest it's 2.04. in delaware, 2.20 per gallon.

from our new jersey newsroom, the men and women of the national guard were honored for coming to the rescue after super-storm sandy. new jersey correspondent nora muchanic was there for the special tribute. >> reporter: when super-storm sandy hit in 2012, thousands of homes were destroyed, 2.7 million people were without power under a state of emergency. new jersey national guard was called in to set up shelters in kitchens they rescued 7,000 people and their pellets and cleared endless roads. lieutenant governor has began pinning u.s. department offense medals on those who helped sandy. it is my privilege to say thank you on behalf of a grateful state an thank every sing of one of you for being always read and always there. 1k3-9d were.

police in florida are investigating the shooting of a college football player from alabama. greg bryant and another man were found shot inside a car on i-95 in west palm beach early yesterday morning. the 21-year-old bryant is in critical condition.

the other man is in stable condition. he started his career at notre dame and changed to uab. a police officer who gunned down his wife and others, is expected to be in a courtroom tomorrow. eulalio tordil shot and killed his wife outside a high school on thursday as she was picking up her kids. he killed a woman at a grocery store and a man in a mall parking lot because they resisted when he tried to car jack them. police arrested him. a little girl is in critical condition after being thrown from a carnival ride. she was tossed off the spinning ride in omaha yesterday afternoon. then the girl's hair got caught in the machine before a woman stopped the ride with her hands. that victim is being treated at the hospital for a skull fracture. police say the carnival company is cooperating with the

police say a florida man so shot and killed his brother over a cheese burger. investigator said the 24-year-old called 911 on thursday night and said that he had injured his older brother at their home. the brother later died from that chest injury. he told police he grabbed a gun and shot his brother did you dun argument over the cheese burger. the suspect said his brother was bullying. he is being held without bail on first degree murder charges. a man staying at a texas motel is dead after a runaway tractor-trailer slammed into his room. the victim was in the studio 6 motel extended stay room in west

2016 has hit a religious order in bucks county. it would mean the relocation of a beloved local saint. her 125-year-old home must be sold. sarah bloomquist has the story. >> reporter: the 44-acre property in bensalem township has long been the home for the sisters of the blessed sacrament the religious order founded by katherine drexel in 1891. now the sisters have come to the reallyization that the property they -- realization that the property they know as the mother house comes with a heavy heart. at one time, 600 sisters call the mother house home. today 100 live here. many of the buildings are no longer in use, the order needs proceeds from the sale of the property and another in virginia to carry on its mission and carry for aging nuns. the entire order will relocate. when god closes a door, a

new door opens. what that future will be we're not sure, yet. katherine drexel was the second american born person to be canonized. from a prominent philadelphia family she was laid to rest in 1955 in what is now a national shrine. vincent came to plant a memorial service for his wife who died on sunday. she visited weekly. i was shocked to hear, i'm sure it will be the same feeling for everybody else. >> reporter: the saint's remains will be relocated to the cathedral basilica at st. peter and paul in philadelphia. the shrine will continue to welcome visitors through the year 2017 and the sisters will oversee the sale of the property. they want to have a say as to who takes over the historic and holy place. in bensalem township, i'm sarah bloomquist channel 6 "action news."
