obama called prince harry our prince charming. he true he is right now, we want to get to those twisters tearing through the midwest. abc's kayna whitworth is in oklahoma city with the latest. good morning, kayna. >> reporter: george, good morning. 22 million americans are still under a severe weather threat and here in oklahoma, people have their eyes on the skies and their storm sherlts ready to go. >> oh, my god. >> reporter: tornadoes can terrifying the heartland. >> this is a big tornado right here. >> reporter: this massive funnel cloud consuming the roeverythin in its path. trying to flee as this tornado moves across the road. at least seven reported tornadoes touching do unin the centennial state over the weekend. >> we have windows broken out. it's not pretty. >> reporter: this mammoth twister captured near the town of ray, kicking up debris

injuring five people. you can see from the air numero numerous structures destroyed. multiple reports of tornadoes there as well. rains leading to flash floods. stranding motorists. in kentucky, blinding rains blasting cars and in illinois, 66-mile-per-hour winds snapping power lines and tearing the roof of this school. with storms like that move through, shelters like these can save people who don't have a way to get under ground. george. >> okay, kayna, thanks very much. the storms are still moving and rob has more on that. >> she mentioned the threat. we want to show you that area, jet stream energy is going to power storms east of dallas today. tulsa to little rock, you'll see hail and a couple tornadoes as well. active pattern over the next

it. >> i just don't like her she's too stiff. >> so much on snl this season. now, bernie sanders is still promising to stay in this race until the end. he's offered a new hint that he might be open to talks with clinton about the vice president talk. >> still several primaries to go. let's talk to matt dowd about all of this. let's begin with donald trump and the split within the republican party. he surprised me when he said bringing the party together may not matter that much. >> does the party have to be together? does it have to be unified? i'm very different than everybody else. i don't think so. >> his point is, he can bring in a lot of democrats and independents, is he right? >> he's right about one thing -- he's very different than anyone who's run before. he needs to have 100% of the

republican voters. if the split starts to emerging among republican voters it's hugely problematic for him. >> back in 2012 romney got more than 90% of the republican voters and still lost. meanwhile, looking at the general election and this feud with hillary clinton over -- he believes that bringing up bill clinton's troubles back in the 1990s is an effective counter to the woman's card. >> this is an issue that many republicans have been wanting to litigate in the past 20 years. he's basically saying hillary clinton who claims to speak on behalf women's voters is problematic in this area. i think is going to be back and forth. i think it's going to generate some sport for donald trump among the base of this. i don't think it's going to have any effect on the independent voters. we turn now to that deadly shooting spree in maryland.

going on a ram page that left his wife and three others dead. he's set to appear in court today. abc's pierre thomas with the very latest. >> reporter: the final takedown as police officers arrest one of their own. watch as police ram his car, jump out, draw their weapons. it all began thursday afternoon, eulalio tordil arrives at a high school and shoots a man and shoots his wife gladys in cold blood. tordil, a police officer with the federal protective service had be been on administrative leave demanding that he stay away from his wife who he had been accused of shooting. >> we just had a shooting at montgomery mall. >> reporter: shots ring out as tordil allegedly tries to

carjack a woman. two men rush to her aid. both shot. the female victim is also recovering. >> these two men acted selflessly and heroically, not only coming to her aid but likely saving her life. >> reporter: ten miles away, a short while later, tordil is accused of fatally shooting a woman. in what police believe was a botched carjacking attempt. over the weekend tordil did talk, apparently showing no remor remorse. george. >> pierre, thanks very much. latest now on the backlash brewing at west point over this photo, it shows 16 female cadets with fists raised. whether it's in violation of the academy rules. >> reporter: for decades the clenched fist has had powerful

meaning, defiant or resistance. the women intended to celebrate the graduation, the gesture leading west point to see if rules were broken. this morning, this photo is at the center of a growing controversy at west point. the elite military academy now investigating whether these 16 african-american cadets, raising their fists violated policy while in uniform. >> there's a tradition at west point for seniors where they pose and they have a very stoic look on their faces. what makes this photo different is everyone is kind of doing the pose but then there's the clenched fists in the air. >> reporter: to critics of the photo the cadets looks like an expression of support for the black lives matter movement. which some believe is anti-police. >> if these men and women are in uniform and making a political

statement they could be in serious trouble for that. >> reporter: coming to the cadet defense, the chairwoman of the academy visitors. writing, fearless, flawless, fierce, ready. fulton telling the army times i knew it was their expression of pride and unity. unfortunately, in their youth and exuberance it appears they didn't stop to think that it might have any political context. the fire storm coming only a few months after beyonce's formation halftime show. the fists raised there. also causing controversy. this morning, west point telling abc news that academy officials are conducting an inquiry into the matter. the style of photo is a tradition at west point, groups mimicking poses from the 19th century.

the article phillips exeter and st. george's in rhode island. 67 schools have faced allegat n allegations against school employees since 1991. nearly 200 alleged victims. >> about two dozen were convicted or pled guilty to criminal charges. >> reporter: in taped interview with the paper one of the alleged victims wonder what his life would have been like if this hadn't happened. >> i don't know who i might have been had he nod gained my loyalty and confidence and then abused it so and that really screwed up my life and i'm sure the lives of many, many, many kids. >> i was really shocked at how persuasive this issue was. lot of issues with trust.

>> reporter: abc reached out to st. george's who said the schools recognizes the long impa lasting impact of the sexual abuse. and phillips exeter academy said -- we get the sense this is just the tip of iceberg here. >> thank you, linsey. a big legal battle brewing for sumner redstone. his family is fighting with his ex-girlfriend for control over health care decisions. abc's gio benitez. >> reporter: he's report ed ee' worth $5 million he wants nothing to do with his ex-girlfriend. this morning, billionaire sumner redstone's former girlfriend taking he imto court.

unifo uniform. it's not just our veterans. the point i want to make is the vast majority of them do not have any mental health issues but for those who do it's so important for us to destigmatize so people feel the support to go out and get the support they need. >> and you and your brother and sister in law have also started a campaign. >> heads together. between now and the london marathon next year to encourage as many people to run for it the media i suppose have given this impression that so many guys leaving the forces are like a ticking time bombs. >> that's not the case. >> that's not the case at all. if we can smash the stigma surrounding it, then this is something that can be, you know, cured just like that. it's not a life sentence. if you open up and speak about it and get the right help as

under the false impression if you do everything right and you wear that sun screen you're not at risk, that's simply not true. >> not true with skin cancer. we have to remember that behavior and prevention is key. it's important when you talk about skin cancer. however, there are other pieces to this puzzle, genetic component. that doesn't mean that behavior is still isn't important. >> talk about genetics and the role it plays in skin cancer. >> skin cancer is no different. the majority of skin cancer is sporadic. a small percentage, there are genetic mutations. we have heard of the bcra mutation. bcra 2 actually increases the risk of melanoma. >> and of course, it's so

important to not only check your own skin but to have a doctor do those body checks and as you heard our patient in our piece said, get second or third opinion. >> a biopsy should be the default pathway. people need to understand, this is trend #getnaked. you have to take all of your clothes off to have a proper skin check. it has to go fingers and toes. dark-skind individuals very much at risk, most people think they don't. last week i had full skin checks. >> even the doctors themselves have to be the patient. places more us susceptible thany others. >> everything needs to be checked and you need to get naked. >> all right.

>> riley loves to cuddle. >> haze sell our little one. >> and kate is supereasy. >> reporter: raising six kids definitely isn't easy. the series shows the couple's struggle. >> going back to work i'm losing my biggest helper. ♪ happy birthday >> the whole busby family joins us now from texas. daniele, adam, big sister blayke and all five quints. how are you doing? >> doing good. >> danielle, tell us about your first mother's day with the quints. >> this is actually the first one. the first one with them at home. we had a wonderful day. last year it was -- we visited the nicu it was very sad.

i had to go, you know visit them. this year we had a blast. we haung out outside. just played. we all took a really long nap yesterday. that was fabulous. >> that's a good day when you get all five down at the same time. blayke, help us out here and introduce all your little sisters to america. >> blayke, introduce your sisters. who's who? >> hazel, avenue ya, riley, parker and oliva. >> if any of them -- >> that was av a little while ago. >> it happens. you know you have had cameras follow you for this entire journey even with your struggles with infertility. what was that like? >> it was -- i mean, it was

pretty good. i mean, we -- we had them with us from the very beginning and we got used to it pretty quick. the camera crew, almost became like family members. blayke was calling our producer uncle brad. so, she, we took right to it. it hasn't too bad. >> i think all of america is getting a sense of how difficult it is and how fun it is to struggle with quints. they're looking for those cheerios. >> they're supermobile right now as you can see. >> danielle how hard was it when adam had to go back to work. >> mom, stop feeding riley. >> i had to deal with all day. no, it was definitely really hard when he had to leave and you know i did have some help come in and family. there's nothing like having your
