excessive violence remained traumatized by this howard high school tragedy. >> it's going on too long. it's just sad. >> a howard high school parent this morning reacting to the charges against three 16-year-old students all allegedly involved in the april 21st bathroom attack. she had an unknown heart defect and when beaten went into cardiac arrest and later died. they want this teen who repeatedly punched francis tried with -- not homicide. >> the three girls deserved what they got. i believe they deserve longer but we are growing as a family here at howard. >> the attack on joyner francis

was 20 hours in the planning leading up to the attack when school started for the day. two girls face coconspiracy charged here because according to the affidavit they did not hit the victim but the one that allegedly did faced eight years in prison. there is no answer at the home of the student that faces the charges. >> it's sadden to see these young girls in these types of situation. >> it's tragic for both families. for all the families that has it going on. i feel sorry for everybody. >> reporter: sharrie, one of the girls facing the coconspiracy charges has been released to the custody of her mother and is under house arrest however. she had no previous arrest record i might point out. we continue to withhold the names of all three, they are all

minors. vernon odom, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a 14-year-old student says she was sexually assaulted inside of sayer high school inwest philadelphia. a freshman girl says a freshman boy attacked her in a stairwell. >> there is surveillance of the two students in question walking down the hallway and also exiting the building, that is what we provided to philadelphia police and they are using it for their investigation. >> well that boy in question is suspended pending the outcome of the investigation by the special victims unit. meantime the girl is offered support and counselors are on hand forest of the student body. it's primary day for two states. west virginia and nebraska. but neither candidate is

campaigning in either state. 29 delegates are up forrer grabs for the democrats. bernie sanders is leading the polls, but sanders is campaigning in california and hillary clinton is with voters in kentucky. that is ahead of that state's primary coming up next tuesday. now, for the republicans 70 total gop delegates are on the line in west virginia and nebraska today. trump is off the campaign trail but still inching closer to that nomination. but today's voting is being overshadowed by a new quinnipiac poll released this morning. it shows just how a general election showdown would look in three battleground states and the numbers show closer than expected in florida, ohio and here in pennsylvania. in a projected clinton-trump

delaware and southern new jersey, every now and then a pop of yellow with a burst of moderate rainfall. but this is sliding east across dover and sea isle city and cape may. as we look at this beautiful shot this morning, a few photos on my facebook page. this one was from christie, from cooper hospital, you see the early eastern sunshine facing to the west and showers passing through a rainbow over center city itself. a beautiful start to start this tuesday, despite a dreary day. 53 in reading and 54 in lancaster, nobody at 60 degrees at the present time. this just marks another may day, with below average temperatures. we have 9 days this month out of 10 with below normal temperatures, only on sunday are we right at normal at 71

degrees, we are down 5 degrees or so below normal for the month. if this continues this could be the first month in philadelphia over the last 13 months that temperatures were below average. we have a warm stretch over the last year. as we look at satellite and radar, a front draped over the region and that extends to the ohio valley and great lakes. and that system really not going to move all that much. over the next 24 hours, it's cloudy and damp in spots overnight tonight with a shower or two. especially south, 48 in millville and 40s in the northwestern suburbs. we'll look at future tracker 6, 6:30 tomorrow morning, the clouds are around and scattered showers as we go into the afternoon tomorrow little changes, maybe some brightening the farther east you are from philadelphia. the thicker cloud cover north and west with scattered showers. and thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. we start to thin out the

police are still looking for it's driver that hit a bicyclist in west philadelphia and kept ongoing. it happened at 2:00 a.m. at 52nd and irving. a 56-year-old man was thrown over the front of his bike and is in critical condition this afternoon. police are checking cameras in the area but have not given us a description of the car involved. the "action news" troubleshooters are on is the case of a contract that seems to never end all while fees are piling up but the contract was signed by a person with a disability. here is nydia han with a preview of tonight's special report. >> the sister of a man well a

more surgery at this time but his medical costs are part of the $7.2 million settlement agreed upon earlier this month. the video is as graphic as the injuries suffered by the victim. >> he broke badly both of his legs and hip and both of his arms badly. >> attorney larry is talking about his client, a local efficiency engineer who was nearly killed after falling through the glass attic floor at the rodam museum. those on the main gralry floor were absolutely stunned. shocked to see a man falling 38 feet through the glass ceiling. >> he was in the attic inspected light fixtures when the floor gave way. he survived but seen in this video still deals with physical

killer sent her a message before and after the crime. authorities haved juan c camacho. >> that he sent a facebook message asking how to win her daughter back. and then he sent her another haunting message. >> he text me and said i'm sorry i killed your daughter. she is a good woman. always happy and bringing the family together. >> well, rodriguez's four children were actually home when she was killed and they are staying with other family members and he is charged with murder, rape and other charges. police have released a name of a woman founded inside of an

abandoned home in kensington. they say that paula mccafferty died of stab wounds. they found her body in a vacant house in roseville on saturday. an anonymous threat caused a lockdown at conwell eagan high school. the action cam was on the scene as police searched the property. school administrators say they take threats like this seriously and police did not find anything and cleared the lockdown before 1:00 this afternoon. adam joseph is back now and we see the weather outside we have seen it before. >> like a bad deja vu, an ongoing nightmare. you wake up every morning. >> get it out of our system now and the rest of the summer it's sunny. >> i'll go for that. on stormtracker 6 live double scan not everyone is seeing the scats showered, mainly south of philadelphia, brighter and

glen side. cheltenham township says the chemicals are related to work being done at the glen side swimming pool and the matter remains under investigation works to clean up the creek. >> it took eight hours, but route 70 in cherry hill is reopen now. a crash brought down power lines and crews had to close the road in both directions to make immediate repairs. crews in montgomery county are trying to make a permanent fix that is causing problems along a busy stretch of road. anchor, rick williams is live now with more on this story. >> thank you, we are talking about route 52 valley forge park, part of which is slated to be closed throughout the summer, this after multiple sewer main breaks that have flooded out

deadly tornado in oklahoma. take a look at this. it's incredible the twister was on the ground for 10 miles tearing through homes in garvin county. oklahoma was the hardest hit but 21 tornadoes were reported last night and at least two people were killed. but some say the tragedy could be much worse. >> it picked me up and threw me against the tree and i just held on. >> i walked out and i had seen everything and i went into shock a little bit. the same two storm systems are moving east bringing the threat of severe weather to tennessee, ohio and texas. >> unbelievable video. one of the baltimore police officers charged in the death of freddie gray has chosen to stand trial in front of a judge instead of a jury. gray died after being arrested and injured in a police van,

nero's trial is expected to start on thursday. after a decade of freedom this man is back behind bars, police say that robert stackwitz was recaptured in connecticut after escaped in 2013. he was suppose to serve 17 years by robbery by force. big talkers now and pizza to the rescue. an oregon man, known around town for his dominoes fan. kirk alexander is a well known regular customer at the dominoes over the weekend employees say they started to worry. >> a few drivers said we have not seen his order come across the screen in a while and i looked to see when it had been since he ordered and it was 11

days now this month out of 10 where highs have been below normal in the afternoon. 53 allentown and 54 in lancaster, and 56 in cape may, the northeasterly wind getting us into trouble with the cloud cover yet again. as we look at satellite and radar, we have the frontal boundary drapes over our region and high pressure is in canada and supplying sun in northern new england with temperatures touching 70 degrees, it goes back to low pressure in chicago and the ohio valley where they are dealing with some severe weather pushing through and this particular area of clouds and showers really not going to budge or move as we go into the middle of the week. tonight cloudy and damp in spots and a shower or two. 40s in most of the suburbs, 52 for sent steer but hey if you look at the temperatures for tomorrow. not too bad. upper 60s for philadelphia lower 70s to the north where there will be brightening to the sky

and philadelphia points to the south, very cloudy tomorrow with scattered showers around and that holds temperatures in the upper 50s at the shore 65 degrees in millville, and if we play our cards just right, high pressure is over southern new england and that could give us a slice of nice here if it wedges in dry air as it tries to push the front to the south and west. with the brief period of dry, sunnier, warmer weather, before the system pushes back in at the end of the week into the upcoming weekend, the exclusive accuweather forecast a few scattered showers and a lot of showers tomorrow and brightening to the sky north of philadelphia and 69, and everyone should see decent sunshine on thursday and then rain arrives again on friday, this is future tracker at 11:00 a.m., turning heavy at times in the afternoon with a

sara bloomquist is live outside of the special victims unit with the details. >> reporter: detectives here are reviewing the surveillance video from inside and outside of the high school. they are interviewing the freshman boy and girl involved. they have not made a determination if criminal charges should be filed. >> students here at sayer high were stunned to hear of allegations of sexual assault inside of their own school. school officials say that a 14-year-old freshman girl reported being sexually assaulted in a stairwell shortly before dismissal. >> i am scared to go to school. i'm scared. >> the alleged attacker is a freshman boy, suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. police say there are surveillance cameras inside and outside of the school. but none captured what happened in the stairwell. only what happened before and after. >> there
