macy's. officials say the suspect then stabbed two people at the mall. the suspect was fatally shot by an off-duty police officer. two of the stabbing victims have died lawmen try to sort this all out. the morning newsteam will have more at 4:30 in the morning. philadelphia police and the fbi are trying to cope with an epidemic of bank robberies.

this is not a case of a serial bank robber. there are four suspects out there who are frustrating the law. live at fbi headquarters at sixth and arch is dann cuellar. dann? >> reporter: jim, the noticeable increase in holdups with an two-week period. authorities are hoping you can identify the culprits captured in surveillance pictures. the most recent heist was in pnc branch in center city on monday. this man in his late 40s to early 50s entered the bank, approached a teller demanding money. he then fled on foot. the fashion-minded thief was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants and he had matching sneakers to bring the look all together. he's believed to be the same man who held up the citizens branch on 151515 market on april 29th. then there's shady and shades. age 50ish. the fbi said on tuesday at 2:30 he held up the branch on spring garden. he wore a puffy coat, blue

jeans, a baseball cap. >> have weapons been displayed in any of these jobs? >> they have not. have been verbal demands and demand notes. >> reporter: and you couldn't miss this guy in the bright yellow jacket with a stripe across the chest. authorities say on april 29th, he held up the pnc branch at 1849 walnut. and last but not least, there's this guy. i guess you could say he's camera shy. the fbi is seeking him in connection with a holdup at the citizens branch at 123 chestnut. white male in his 30s wearing a red jacket and blue jeans. authorities say there have been eight bank robberies since april 29th being committed by at least four men and they believe the men are taking advantage of the rainy weather knowing the police response is going to be delayed and they can change the wardrobe up a bit. >> after the bank robbers are able to put on jackets and put on clothes to blend in with public and majority of these robberies are here in the center city district. >> reporter: again, if you can identify any of the men or otherwise know their

legs, his hip and his arms badly. >> he has had more than 15 surgeries and during his recovery he required a service dog for basic tasks. he fell through a glass attic floor while inspecting lighting fixtures during an energy-efficiency audit. attorneys say there were no guardrails. there were no warning signs. riding a bike has proven to be a dangerous proposition today in philadelphia. and while police are investigating the incidents, they're also imploring riders and drivers to be aware and to take some care. "action news" reporter christie ileto is live in center city tonight. christie? >> reporter: jim, the last 24 hours have not been kind to cyclists. and while there are designated bike lanes like this one on several city streets, one local group is saying that is not enough if cyclists and motorists are to share the road. police are still looking for a driver who hit a cyclist in

philadelphia early this morning. and they're investigating a deadly crash involving a cyclist and a septa bus. >> i was four cars behind the bus. i didn't find out till a few hours later that there was an accident. >> reporter: police say a cyclist cut in front of a bus driver moments before impact. >> the number of people on bikes who are being killed is too high. >> reporter: last year, nine cyclists were killed in crashes on city streets. and so far this year, there's been two. and according to penndot, almost half of the state's 1,271 crashes involving bikes happened in philadelphia. the bicycle coalition says more -- new intersection designs and red-light cameras might help curb the problem. is there a fear it's on pace to be as bad as last year? >> i'm concerned it is very troublesome that we've had two bicycle deaths already and it's not even the end of may and two bicycle crashes in 24 hours. >> i would like to see more protected lanes, because even the bike lanes that we have, cars swerve into them all the time. >> reporter: drivers say sharing the road is a two-way street. >> sometimes they won't even

but sanders sounded like a victor tonight at a rally in salem, oregon. the oregon primary is next week. and he told a crowd of mostly college students they can help him win there too. on the republican side donald trump won tonight in west virginia and nebraska. ted cruz and john kasich were still listed on ballots and both got some votes but trump will collect all the ballots in each race. in the likely head-to-head matchup between donald trump and hillary clinton, the candidates are polling neck and neck in three swing states -- pennsylvania, ohio, and florida. quinnipiac university pollsters report that clinton barely edges trump in pennsylvania and florida, 43-42%. but, of course, that is within the margin of error. and in ohio, trump has a statistical lead, 43%-39%. some experts say that polling the general election six months in advance is virtually meaningless. a high school student
