confidential tip that releasing the sketch that led them to richardson and officer as rested him here in the city's overbrook park section. state troopers confirm he owned a lincoln like the one described in the road rage incident and police say that richardson has prior road rage incidents. >> he has prior road rage habits and displayed a firearm at that time. >> police say richardson had a permit for the gun. a bond hearing is scheduled for may 25th. >> a lot of new details thank grays. >> from our delaware newsroom now, police are trying to figure out what caused a driver to slam through a building in elsmere today. the action cam was where the accident happened before 10:00 this morning.

80-year-old woman and wounded her daughter. and he is accused of stealing their car and driving it straight into a crowded mall where he continued his cam page. >> as he was coming he was slashing people and people were throwing chairs at him and stuff. >> visual design teacher, george heath was stabbed to death when he tried to protect a waitress who was attacked. the waitress remains hospitalized. derosa was finally kill bid an off duty sheriff's deputy having dinner at the mall. a minnesota doctor treated prince twice last month including the day before he died. the doctor prescribed medicine for the singer and it's unclear what type or if prince ever took the medicine. officials searched the doctor's former hospital as part of the investigation into whether prince died of an overdose. back in 1964 philadelphia

others spread across new jersey and delaware. it's time for a check of the accuweather forecast. >> all right i think we can use the word sunshine, it's going to happen soon. adam joseph with the forecast. >> as we take a look at double scan live radar there was a little bit of sunshine north and east of philadelphia today, but southern areas getting wet once again at the present time. wilmington south and vineland south, a 50/50 shot here on who saw brightening to the sky and who is seeing showers. they are creeping up from the south and west and closing in on wilmington and smyrna, delaware to dover, very wet roadways at the present time and that continues with a heavy downpour in salem county and heavy rain and we could see up to a quick inch of rain in cape hey county on the verge of avalon and sea

isle city. this is slowly drifting through some that ferry ride from lewes, delaware to cape may, a pretty nasty ride this afternoon. as we look at the numbers, north is where we saw some sun, allentown and trenton around the 70 degree mark and 66 philadelphia and much cooler to the south and west where we have the clouds lingering, wilmington 60 to 62, and we see the rain temperatures now only between 57 and 58 degrees at cape may point. as we look at satellite and radar, on the verge but mercer county and parts of bucks county and lehigh county. the clouds are pushing back in as the wave of energy, you can almost see a spin passing through west virginia quickly through maryland and that is pivoting some showers through. at 6:00 p.m. tonight they could make it to chester county and delaware county and on the verge

of philadelphia. and then they kind of fall apart and that system pushes off the coast, and 11:00 still a lot of clouds around and as we get into your thursday around here, the best day of the week, partly sunny and a little cloudier southern areas where the sound is hard to come back, but it should all the way to wilmington and millville with temperatures in the low to mid-70s and only 60s at the shore as well as southern delaware. the four day at 4:00, tomorrow the pick of the week, partly sunny and warm and 74 degrees, 72 here on friday with rain at times as another system arrives, about midmorning hours, the rain should start and on saturday, we start with sun and end with storms in the afternoon, some could be on the strong side at 75 degrees and strong northwesterly winds come in and comes back on sunday and temperatures drop to 61 and lows in the low 40s in the suburbs, maybe some upper 30s to begin.

from our new jersey newsroom, police in trenton found a man dead in the street this morning and now they are trying to find out what happened. chopper was over south hudson street and police got the call

after 3:00 this morning and they say the man was already dead when they arrived on the scene and they consider his death suspicious but they have not said who he was or how they died. there is a job fair going on now for anybody looking for work in retail. the retailers are holding a job fair at the food court in limerick. it goes until 7:00 tonight. companies like white house black market. and guess are all looking to hire. and mercy voke caseal high school, students got to show off their skills of carpentry and cooking and students as well address leader from 50 local businesses were there to see it. all the students involved in today's workshop are juniors and

with. the delaware valley has not seen much sunshine and temperatures are well below average, if you take a look outside. today is no exception, sky 6 hd showing you the gloomy center city skyline, adam joseph is live at the big bore with a glimmer of hope on the horizon. >> a gray day in may. and 7:00 this morning we saw a lot of clouds and a few spitting showers and a round of energy pushing in quickly from washington and baltimore and parts of west virginia pulling more showers and heavy downpours in parts of southern new jersey and delaware and breaks of sun and lehigh valley on the brisk of trenton and at times in the city of philadelphia, brightening to the sky, speaking of bright, look at the colors here, parts of cape may county being inundated with heavy rain and claps of thunder from avalon to cape may, if we put on stormtracker 6 live double scan the estimates rainfall amounts

"action news" is now hearing from the attorney of one of the teens facing charges in amy joyner francis' death. john decker's 16-year-old client is charged with negligent homicide the one that police say caused her death inside a bathroom at howard technical high school in wilmington. decker says the teenager has no way of reasonably perceiving death would occur from a school fight. if convicted as an adult, she could get eight years in prison. a facebook tip helped police arrest a man that was wanted for two bank robberies in burlington county. this man stevenson from berlin is said to have robbed two banks in the last month. co-workers recognized steven on the facebook page, stevens is charged with the crimes at the

citizens bank. and meanwhile philadelphia police is hope that this video leads them to the man that stole from a frankford dunkin' donuts, the robber walked up to a cashier and claimed he had a handgun and that he wanted money. the worker put cash in a brown bag and he then ran from the scene. a buck county police officer helped several families escape a fire early this morning. the perkasie police chief says the officer was on routine patrol when he spotted the fire and helped eight families get out of that house, that is divided in several apartments. they say because of the officer's quick work nobody was injured. the cause of fire is under investigation. students at williamstown high school got a lesson in drunk driving, they put on a mock crash scene to show the

consequences of drinking and driving. they helped to make the demonstration as real as possible and the crash played out in front of more than 600 students. this comes during prom season and prom is friday at that school and administrators hope this harsh lesson will help students stay safe philadelphia's iconic william penn statue will get a makeover. work starts on the 37 foot statue late this summer. it will take a month to wash, wax and buff the iconic statue that sits on top of city hall. the observation deck will be closed at that time. private donations and a grants for the national endowment for the arts and the city will foot the 150,000 there's bill. a new jersey state trooper was honored for the extraordinary impact he had on his home town. trooper eric chuck richardson was recognized by the

organization, teach anti-bullying he works with youth mentoring and coaching and even helping them get into college. he says it's a lifetime dream to serve the city he loves. it was an unusual sight agents the vatican. pope francis got up close and personal with a homemade contraption that could change the face of medicine in africa. >> a group of italian students brought a prosthetic hand made out of bottle caps to the pope's weekly audience to show them what he was working on. how the students manufactured the new hand and how they plab to use the hand to help children in developing countries. and ditching the bus for a bike, we'll take you into the philadelphia high school that are encouraging kids to get fit

a teen is shaken up but okay today. he spent an hour trapped at the bottom of an old well in jersey city. surrounded by first responders, the 16-year-old was able to walk out of the old house with his own two feet. he and friends broke into the locked building that had wells inside. the board on one well rotted and the teen plunged to the bottom and he clung to a pipe until they managed to get him out safely. a south carolina police officer is facing federal charges for the death of an unarmed black man. michael slager is accused of violating walter scotts civil rights during a traffic stop in

2015. a bystander took a video that showed the encounter. the show shows scott running away and then being shot five times. his family calls this a historic day. heartburn medication may be causing damage to heart vessels. nessium may speed up blood and cause higher rates of heart attacks and failure. they say that some people use it longer than recommended. big talkers now a big decision out of new york city that is sparking pretty big controversy. one involves pregnant women and their unborn children.

eastbound sitting a half hour from the blue route into the vine. the vine itself is slow, 95 is slow with speeds in the teens by the betsy ross bridge and traffic lights are on flash at columbus boulevard at packer avenue and we are getting used to the closure of the adams bridge for the next four months and today another bridge closed in chester county. it's the green valley road bridge over the west branch of the brandywine creek, they found structural problems. brandywine creek road is an alternate. elsewhere there say crash in east white land at 202 where you are getting the normal southbound slowing with speeds of 15 miles per hour. and salem, bucks county a crash at humville road. and we'll check all the crashes again brian and sharrie in the

parts of route 7 and 55 and malaga on the wet side and southern areas of new jersey especially in cape may county right now. we have not had any lightning strikes in the last half hour but right now just very heavy rain and we could pick up a quick inch of rain from avalon to cape may and in fact we have sky 6 hd live in cape may showing the rain falling and you can't see out in the open waters of the atlantic really reduced visibility and the wet roadways once again, so kind of a dreary day in southern areas of new jersey. but where the sun did pop out this afternoon. take a look at the temperatures, 73 in tannersville. 75 in martins creek and you hit the clouds, 65 in quakertown and pots down and saint davids and 59 in oxford and as we head to the south you are near 70 once you hit 70 farther north into

new jersey and 60s for smyrna and dover with the chilly raw rain temperatures in the upper 50s. looking at satellite and radar a piece of energy rolling across and it continues it's journey, and we see the intensity of rain in southern areas start to fall apart over the next couple of hours. for tonight lots of clouds and early showers and downpours in far southern areas, temperatures stop in the middle 50s on average and thursday partly sunny and high pressure is trying to push one low off the coast, and move this front back to the west. so it's cloudier south and west of philadelphia and definitely splashes of sun and philadelphia north and east. on friday the next front comes in with more rain here a quart toward .75 inch in the morning, could be a rumble of thunder with a temperature warmer at 72,
