from the new england region to the mid-atlantic. this is moving off to the north but areas in central pa and virginia, it will work its way to us in the afternoon. we are in the lower 60s in millville but cooler at the coast, 58 at the boardwalk in a.c. and 65 in trenton and not bad in the poconos, and 55 in lancaster, coming in at 63. so your afternoon and evening forecast looks like this, mostly cloudy by about 4:00 in the afternoon, 71 with the showers moving in from a west-east direction and we'll hold the 71 at 5:00. 6:00, 72 and 70 at 7:00. and things start to dry out in a west-east direction. for the rest of the afternoon rain that could be heavy at times and could have a rumble of thunder as well. a .25 to .75 inch of rain is on

they brought my son in and we were laying on the bed and they laid him across the bed and one said to the other, they said this isn't the house man. >> three masked men invaded this somerton home. they were held at gun point and their hans tied. >> the least one of them was scene with a gun in his hand, all three had masks and all three were wearing gloves and they began ordering the family members to tell them where the money is. >> the three perpetrators ransacked every floor coming up with nothing, ultimately they left with $40 in cash and the son's wallet, and then they realized they might be in the wrong spot. >> from what the neighbors told me, the three people that broke into the house they had the wrong house, it's a mistaken

police in new hampshire are searching for the suspect that shot two officers, investigators say it's two officers were shot at separate locations, they are both expected to be okay. as the manhunt continues several schools have closed and residents are told to shelter in place. george zimmerman is having a difficult time try ago auction off the gun he says he used to kill trayvon martin. zimmerman shot and killed the unarmed teen in 2012, he was tried and acquitted of murder. he plans to auction the gun online with a starting bid of $5,000. it was hijacked by fake accounts posting bids of $65,000. they will decide later today if they will allow the auction to continue. the white house has ordered every public school in the country to let transgender students to use bathrooms and

locker rooms that match their identity. it's not law but if schools don't follow it they could lose federal funding. this after the justice department filed a lawsuit against north carolina. passengers flying out of phoenix arizona are once again able to fly with their luggage. after running tests, a problem with the screening test has been fixed. luggage piled up after technical issues prevented tsa from screening the luggage, more than 3,000 bags missed their flights. they would be hand checking all the suitcases and there may be a delay but they would get the bags to us. >> it could take three days or more for bags to get to their destinations, officials are trying to figure out what caused

the outage. firefighters rescued a woman who spent 14 hours trapped in a car wreck, she went off the road and crash nsd a remote camden, she called her husband with a gps to give her location and that phone call ultimately saved her life. >> the only reason they found her was because they pinged her phone and they used a helicopter to search for the wreckage. >> and that helicopter located the vehicle and the woman was air-lifted to the hospital and she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. >> michael strahan appeared for his last day as cohost of kelly and michael. they were in good spirits and looked back on their fondest memories and kelly presented him with a framed photo of the two and a pair of framed heels he wore on halloween that she had bronzed.

closer look at a gloomy forecast. the weekend doesn't look that much better either. >> we don't get off to a warm start and sunny start. here is stormtracker 6 live double scan radar and we do notice moisture moving across the areas in south jersey and the i-95 corridor and also in our northwest suburbs. we'll go in tighter on street level with stormtracker 6 live double scan, and if are you in burlington or southern ocean county, route 72 in surf city, we are dealing with light pock e ets of rain. and if you are in between wilmington and middletown and state route 1 we are dealing with the showers as they persist throughout the day. and the suburbs along the i-95 corridor we have the moisture moving in philadelphia and we press into lancaster and berks and lehigh county this hour the moisture is filling in from a

west-east direction. sky 6 hd live, looking at the center city skyline to city hall. broad street we have a mostly cloudy and make sure you have the wet weather gear before you step out. we have a southerly component to the wind and temperatures climb into the upper 60s in philadelphia, and 66 at this hour and 65 in trenton and the lehigh valley, and some issues with low visible for reading especially with the moisture moving on it. and 56 in the poconos and 58 degrees at the boardwalk, here is satellite 6 along with action radar here is the line we are tracking, the heavy pocket is tracking into new england and what we are tracking the rest of the day is moisture coming up from the virginias and this works our way into the region as we go into the rest of our afternoon. there is clearing later on and enough clearing to play some ball, the phillies are taking on the cincinnati reds and the clouds will be breaking and we have a westerly wind of 5 to 10

miles per hour and that helps to scour out the cloud cover tonight and once we get into the ninth inning we drop into the upper 60s. here is the setup for today. 2:00 in the afternoon we have the showers moving on in and rain that is heavy at times, i won be surprised to have a rumble of thunder. 4:00 this afternoon we are back on the air and showers in lakehurst and over in dover and pressing into philadelphia, they are spotty in nature and we could find .25 to .75 inch of rain and the moisture will start to taper off from a northeast direction. we have periods of rain on the way and high of 72 and saturday morning sunshine and a high up to 76, we are tracking gusty thunderstorms. and in the wake of that, sunday we have a bit of a tight pressure gradient going on that means the winds are picking up on the backside of this system that moves in as we go throughout saturday into sunday.
