a good wednesday morning and the race for the white house as another victory for bernie sanders denies hillary clinton a carefree march toward the democratic nomination. >> in oregon more than 60 delegates were up for grabs. he got the good news from his wife jane as he addressed 11,000 supporters in california. the race in kentucky is too close to call with a razor thin margin of less than 1% and end up splitting the state delegates almost evenly but clinton claimed victory in a tweet and called for unity. it's "your voice, your vote" and the latest now. >> reporter: bernie sanders was the only candidate to have an election night event rallying thousands in california even as hillary clinton is getting closer to that delegate finish line. the ap has declared bernie sanders the winner in oregon, in

slamming the san antonio area. pictures just in to us showing vehicles stalled in high water up to 4 inches of rain have fallen in the area since last night. authorities say there are several vehicles that are stuck on interstates 35 and there are reports of numerous water rescues taking place. then in florida, several tornadoes reported there causing damage to homes and knocking down trees and power lines. this one you see here is in ft. pierce. another one touched down right on interstate 95. extensive flooding in central florida reported along the atlantic coast. closing many roads. and look at the radar. you can see the storm system and it's now over the southeast while another is in west texas and that means texas will still see some thunderstorms, but the heaviest will be in florida along with damaging winds and hail. the pentagon is making history, eric fanning has been confirmed as secretary of the army. making him the highest ranking

openly gay official in the military. his confirmation vote was delayed for months because of a disagreement between kansas senator pat roberts and the white house over the closing of guantanamo bay. the obama administration is about to make more than 4 million more workers eligible for overtime. today the labor department will issue new rules that more than double the cutoff for overtime pay to more than $47,000 a year. above that threshold employees can be designated managers and not get paid extra for overtime. the new rules will take effect december 1st. on capitol hill there is a looming showdown over funding to battle the zika virus. the senate voted decisively in favor of a bipartisan $1.1 billion measure to fight the virus. but the house is expected today to approve a much smaller amount, 622 million. the white house wants nearly 2 billion and has threatened to veto. zika is expected to hit the u.s. this summer. still ahead an apology from the tsa and what's being done about those long airport lines.

the tracks leading to grand central terminal and shut down metro north, the second busiest commuter railroad in the entire country. the fire was so intense it damaged some of the steel support beams. tens of thousands of commuters were stranded at grand central last night. many waiting hours to get home. as for the delays at chicago's o'hare airport the tsa says help is on the way. more than 50 additional agents are being sent to the airport after growing complaints about the long security lines there. passengers have been told to arrive three hours before their flights. the head of the tsa says he can't explain why o'hare has been hit so hard. facebook's ceo mark zuckerberg has an important meeting today at the social network's headquarters. more than a dozen top conservatives will discuss allegations facebook intentionally downplayed stories with conservative views. zuckerberg has denied an institutional bias and in a post last week he said he wants to be sure facebook stays as open as possible. apparently good economic news means bad news on wall
