900 block of clifford brown walk in wilmington. police were called to this location, with word that a teenage boy had been shot in the head. indeed, he had. indeed, he has died. that means more tragedy for the school that has seen more than its share. it is thursday night, the big story on "action news" tonight is the fatal shooting of a 15 year-old, "action news" reporter christie ileto is live in wilmington police and christie, many of our viewers have become familiar with howard high school of technology and for all of the wrong reasons. >> reporter: that is right, jim. this is second howard high student to die in less than a month. right now it is unclear if this was random or targeted or if the victim knew his shooter. >> i heard gunshot and then i was like shoot that sounded close to home. >> reporter: when she heard it it was gunfire in the 900 block of clifford brown walk taking a life of the

neighborhood teen. >> i went to go look outside and seen the individual lying on the ground. i heard everybody screaming. >> i just heard these three shots, and then, i walked down and seen the boy, shot in the head. >> reporter: late this evening principal stanley fork confirmed that boy is a ninth grader at howard high school. shot blocked away from the school he attend. teen died at christiana hospital from the bullet wound to the head and "action news" was there as detectives combed the neighborhood blocks for evidence of who pulled that trigger. but the latest death is compounded by painful loss just weeks earlier of sophomore amy joyner francis, a 16 year-old died from her injuries following a school bathroom beating. three girls have been charged in connection with her death. still principal says that the howard community is pained by the loss of this young man and they are asking people to keep his family in their prayers. counselors will be on hand at howard high tomorrow. is there a $10,000 reward for

information leading to the arrest for the person responsible. anyone with information is asked to contact detectives. reporting live from wilmington christie ileto for channel six "action news", jim. >> thanks, christie. another school, another problem, a 40 caliber semiautomatic handgun was found this morning inside of locker of the student at penn wood middle school will in darby bureau. police did take a student into custody. it turns out that the police have been called to the school, several times, just this week. there was a fight there yesterday, tension has been building, and officials sent a letter home to parents, today saying quote at no time was the handgun visible or used to threaten students. the mystery of the egyptair disappearance is deepening tonight. airline officials have backed off earlier claims that the plane's wreckage had been found in the mediterranean. but intelligence officials in the u.s. and abroad believe that terrorism more likely than not, brought down the plane. sixty-six people were aboard the air bus a320 in route from

ann. she's clean new but years ago she started taking percocet that was prescribed to her for migraines. the at first it just made her drowsy. >> but one day, a switch just flipped, just like that. >> reporter: she knew then that she was hooked. her prescription wasn't enough, so this career woman and wife started to buy more pills on the the street. >> it wasn't so much a moral dilemma for me, it was a dependens and i could not stop. >> reporter: then ann became pregnant neonatologist doctor joan donahue says if a woman is physically addicted to painkillers, stopping the drugs when pregnant can be more harmful they can suffer a seizure in uterus and stay on percocet but told no one. when her baby girl was born, it was obvious that the baby was going through withdraw. >> muscle pains, spasm, your it an, she cried a lot, she was throwing up.

>> reporter: the treatment is to give the babies morphine and slowly wean them off opioids and babies spent five weeks in the n icu. >> it is upsetting on many levels. >> reporter: donahue says while some mothers are getting some drugs on the street, many of prescriptions and don't realize potential consequences of taking painkillers long term. is there also concern for when babies are weaned and ready to go home. >> if she was suffering from an addiction and taking a new born home and trying to get on your feet is very, very difficult. >> reporter: she says addicts need more help getting clean, and ann is now four years drug free. the baby girl is five years old, healthy, and happy. >> i feel blessed beyond words, so blessed. >> reporter: as her long term effects of the baby, some experts say they have a higher risk for adhd, others say we just don't know enough yet but doctor donahue says that this should be a wake up call and then medical community needs
