good afternoon sara is off and the big story on "action news" is the latest developments in the egypt aircraft. crews found some wreckage today but they are trying to determine what brought that plane down. marcy gonzales reports from paris. >> reporter: the families of the passengers and crew gathered here at charles de gaulle airport. they are still waiting for the explaining a. >> wreckage and human remains believed to be from egypt air flight 804 spotted in the mediterranean, a devastating development for the families of the 66 people on board. and a major break for investigators trying to figure out what caused the plane to drop off radar. it was at a cruisingality toot of 30,000 feet preparing to

descend with no distress call, they say the jet was turning left and then strangely to the right before vanishing. >> we have no indication for the cause of the accident yet. they admit that terrorism is more likely than a technical problem but every possibility is being considered. they are looking into the captain and cocaptain. checking tarmac workers in paris and reviewing the jet stops before this flight including one in tunisia earlier this hour. >> if it turns out it is a bomb. have you to look at the security for all the flights, where the aircraft came from and what kind of bomb was it. >> they look at the passenger's background, they say no one on board was on current terror watch lists. >> people here at charles de gaulle airport are scanning surveillance video for possible crews and they are concentrating

on recovering the plane's black boxes. and "action news" has complete coverage of the plane crash on 6abc.com. there you can read more about the investigation as crews try to recover the wreckage. from our delaware newsroom now, grief counselors are back at howard high school of technology today. a 15-year-old student was shot and killed near the school yesterday just weeks after the death of another classmate. police identified the victim but they are still searching for his killer, katherine scott has more from the school in wilmington. this has been a difficult time for this school. they were already grieving the loss of one student and now mourning the death of another. today students arrived to howard school of technology. yesterday afternoon 15-year-old freshman brandon wingo was shot and killed just blocked from the wilmington school.

>> i was at my baseball game and when the game was over our coaches talked to us about what happened. >> it happened on the 900 block of clifford brown walk just before 3:20 yesterday afternoon. brandon was hit in the head and died at christiana hospital. neighbors said it seemed like the typical afternoon and then suddenly heard the gun fire. >> was getting my keys out and i heard the three shots, pow pow pow. >> i looked outside and saw the individual on the ground and heard everybody screaming. >> this comes one month after the death of sophomore amy joyner francis, the 16-year-old died after being beat up in a school bathroom. three girls are charged in her death. and in brandon's case there say $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. he played on the asket ball

team. dozens of verizon protesters are gathering at this hour on city avenue in winfield heights. the workers have been on strike for more than a month, they are fighting for higher pay and job security. they offered raises and retirement benefits but the two sides have been unable to reach an agreement. a pro wrestling star is due back in a courtroom. if jimmy super fly snucka is competent to stand trial. they say he killed his girlfriend in 1993 and they say he is mentally incompetent partly because of head injuries during his wrestling career. some suggests that he suffers from dementia and another says

the call came out afternoon, 12:08 actually at the philadelphia energy solutions, we are looking at the plant here. and not sure what prompted the hazmat call but they are shooting gallons of water on to this plant and black smoke is coming into the sky there. no reports of injuries there. but a possible hazmat situation along the 3100 block of penrose avenue. we'll bring you more information as it becoming available to us. melissa magee is here now with a look at the forecast. it was tough to come back inside i bet. >> it is. it's nice and comfortable. stormtracker 6 live double scan radar you can see that it's dry and no issues with precipitation and high pressure is dominating. we have a really nice day. soak is it up.

we have some changes unfortunately in time for our weekend. outside we go, the action cam is outside and sky 6 hd from our temple university camera looking at the skyline on broad street, a bright blue sky overhead as well. numbers are responding nicely. lower 70s along the 95 corridor and 73 in willimington and the lehigh valley. and cooler along our beach communes, 64 in beach haven and 63 at the boardwalk. here is satellite 6 along with action radar you can see high pressure is dominating much of the mid-atlantic region, clear skies from new england all the way down to washington, d.c. but we widen out the picture here because this is our change. you see an area of low pressure over louisiana and arkansas. we tap into the moisture coming in from the gulf of mexico. we have to watch this closely as we get into the start of our

weekend on saturday. the near term, the call from accuweather, sunny and warm and above average once again with the high temperature coming in at 78 degrees, and overnight tonight more clouds move in ahead of that system to the south, cool and comfortable and 54 in philadelphia. here is future tracker 6 you see the clouds moving in by 8:00 a.m. on saturday and it looks to be dry at that point s as we go through the afternoon especially 1:00 p.m., you notice the showers and heavy pockets of rain in south jersey and delaware. make sure you have the wet weather gear with you through the day. we have rain scattered through the delaware and lehigh valleys. it depends on how much comes into our area. lesser amounts north and west of the lehigh valley.

continue to pray for their loved ones. searchers fine the wreckage. and the automaker tries to come back from an emission cheating scandal. now the details, a buck county man is arrested for breaking into several homes. detectives say they were able to catch the suspected thief because he committed the crime the same way each time apparently using the same vehicle. the burglaries started back in march and happened in salisbury township and newtown township. trish hartman has the latest. >> reporter: police say that all of that jewelry and other items is worth between $150,000 and $250,000. and now the suspect is charged. police are trying to get that jewelry back where it belongs. >> we are trying to reunite it, there are items here i believe are very personal to some o
