police are searching for a teenager after a brutal beat down caught on camera on a philadelphia street. the heat is on, but guess what, the rain is moving in. let's get you to the forecast with meteorologist chris sowers. hot today, but the rain is on the way. the timing is changing, sunday might not be as nice as what we were originally thinking yesterday or the day before. today will be lovely, lots of sunshine expected. it will be hot and humid, temperatures in the low 90s feeling like 93, 94 when all is said and done. we get in here tomorrow especially monday, tropical storm bonnie will march in here. we're clear as a whistle right now. temperatures in the mid 70s. humidity levels are starting to creep up a little bit, but it's manageable and tolerable. tomorrow afternoon and monday it becomes down right sticky.

weekend means soaking up the sun don't jersey shore. the beaches and boardwalks are the hot spots to kick off the holiday weekend. jeff chirico has more. >> reporter: crowds return to the boardwalk in ocean city enjoying the staples of rides, fudge and good times. for the shields girls and their friends from fort washington it's a welcome break from a grueling school year. i love school, but this is amazing. it's fun to be down with our family and friends and have fun. a beach ball dropped kicked off the holiday weekend in atlantic city. water was cold and the beach breezy, but the sun lured the turner family from southwest philadelphia. it was nice out i got the kids early from school and brung them to the beach. many thing it's cold, because it's 70 degrees, we're from buffalo, we're enjoying life because it's 70 degrees and

the impact caused the suv to camp fire. we know one person an 6-month-old baby were rushed to the hospital. so far there's no word on their conditions. new from overnight, a state police chopper airlifted two men who were injured in a crash on the atlantic city expressway. we know the car ran off the road hit some trees and overturned in winslow township. the men were taken to cooper university medical center to be treated for serious injuries. a business that sells high end cars went up in flames in bucks county. the action cam was on the scene at 2:00 a.m. the fire started at import 1 motor sports on easton road in bedminster township. there's no word on what caused the fire or on how much damage was done. philadelphia police are still searching for leads after a 61-year-old man was brutally beaten while walking his dog. the crime was captured on

surveillance video and police are hoping someone recognizes the suspect really soon. "action news" report john rawlins with the report. >> reporter: about 1:00 a.m. saturday in the 1100 block of north 66th. surveillance cameras pick up these kids who are trying to get into nearby parked cars. at that time a 61-year-old man is out walking his dogs. one of the kids approaches and asks the question. lieutenant john walker picks up the narrative. walks up to the gentleman and asks for his time and the male looks at his phone and he cold cocks him in the jaw and knocks him to the ground. >> reporter: the video shows the assailant jumped on top of the man and took the cell phone. the poor dog is trying to help the other than, but the dog is small and trying to by the his ankles. >> reporter: the suspect is in shorts has a light colored hoodie and backpack.

once we reach 60 you start to notice the change. it becomes sticky out there. 66 in allentown and reading. lancaster, 67. dover, 66. everybody else in the low to mid 60s. again we're starting to notice the change. eventually all this tropical moisture will come pouring into the region, as well. the humidity starts to bump up as we start to get into sunday night and monday. these are the outer edges of what she would be tropical storm bonnie. we're expecting gale force winds to hug the carolina cost and we'll see heavy tropical rains as well. the center of the storm willing hang out to the south. we're not expecting a wind event, just the rains listed to the north in the delaware and lehigh valleys thanks to an approaching cold front. that frontal system will siphon the moisture northward. had we not had the front from the west we wouldn't be talking about rainfall sunday night and

authorities in california will continue to search this morning for 15-year-old girl who was kidnapped at gunpoint. pearl pinson was last seen dragged over a freeway overpass in vallejo on wednesday bleeding and screaming. she was abducted by a 19-year-old acquaintance who was killed in a shootout by police. new information coming in on the plane crash on the hudson river during an air show. the pilot was 56-year-old william gordon of key west, florida. the p-47 thunderbolt experienced engine trouble before the crash. the wreckage will be lifted from the water possibly later today.

we'll start from ground zero again. >> reporter: and that was abc philip mena with that report. philadelphia police are looking for a person shot and killed the 26-year-old man. the victim was hit by several bullets and staggered two blocks before collapsing. the shots were fired in the 2000 block of south 66th street in southwest philadelphia. doctors at penn presbyterian hospital were not able to save the victim. this morning philadelphia police are searching for the man who held up a supermarket at gunpoint. the suspect walked into the acme on the 7700 block of crintot street in chestnut hill. he pointed the gun at the cashier and demanded money and ran away with the crash. police are reviewing security video. a motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash on the boulevard.
